if IT is real then that would mean the battle is still raging and shepard wakes up still in london, the normandy and its crew would still be okay and the geth/synthetic life and the relays would still be alright.
and then we'd still have to fight the reapers.

/agreed,
But I doubt there will be a continuation of this battle for us (the players) in any form (DLC). I am thinking we really have to deal with the information we already have and perhaps a little more clarification from Bioware but no DLC that allows us to fight after Shep awakes.

Ah, heck this is all speculation yes, but I thik we are real close to what BW 'meant'... if I may hope so  Image IPB.

Speculation is what BW wants.. no matter how many DLC they will release.. they will give you more clues or hints, but will never release the "truth" because that owuld defeate their "clever" idea of making people speculate.... honestly, discussing how brilliant the game was, would have made better forum topics than constant rage/hate topics.

Hmmm, yes. Luckily I see more people with 'broken hearts' here than ragers. And we are right to feel our pain, seeing what we had to see happen to our beloved characters and their friends (and lovers). I hope BW sees that too.
I must admit tho, I have not read most of the (literally) thousands of posts on the forum but just the last pages in this thread and a few more.

As for me, the initial pain I felt with the ending, is fading rapidly and I begin to see more... perspectives. True, indoctrination theory will be my favorite forever or I cannot come to terms with the ending hehheh. And in the IT also lies the brilliance of the entire game AND its ending for me.

Has the possibility that The Catalyst was testing Shepard (in the final sequence) been brought up? I haven't come across any yet.

Testing for what?

He noted that Shepard was the first organic to ever come that far (in 1 billion years!!), even looked impressed. Maybe he was just testing his resolution to see if he is worthy ?

(Sorry I am intentionally vague about my theory here. I didn't check the established facts apart from the 23-minutes video nor am I an expert of ME universe. :P)

"You are the first...bla bla bla..."  It almost sounds like if the scene it true and not a hallucination/dream, that the starchild had this planned out already.  Like the Crucible was Reaper tech and purposely passed down each cycle but kept hidden until it was too late.  I wonder if he had always seen a flaw in his "plan" and had a way to keep it in check if it failed and somehow a race made it that far.  Hmmm..

Is it a bad sign I'm more interested in hearing about the ME3 announcement than going on vacation for 2 weeks??

No way man!  The ME3 endings are more important than any vacation! ;)

If I brought my 360 my wife would kill me! lol  The wait is going to kill me!  It's a lose-lose situation!  I'll most likely be checking on ME news here, IGN, gamespot, kotaku, etc on my phone all weekend!

Well, good luck.  If you have an Iphone, you could always get some of the tie-in games.  You know, give your EMS a little boost.

Can't be in sol system. No planets are inhabitable outside earth and last I checked earth is still lacking that second moon.

I will let someone else talk about how the game can continue if you chose something other than destroy.

Ooops, thanks for correcting 'Sol system' into 'Local Cluster', that's what I meant actually. Without the use of mass relays we cannot travel any further than Local cluster yes.

Actually, there is non-relay related faster than light technology, it is just much slower. The Normandy is even equipped with this. Additionally, there is a human colony on Alpha Centauri according to the Cerberus daily news, which was established by some eccentric billionare who utilized the sci-fi staple of a cryogenic colony vessel.

I too believe that the Crucible is super fishy. I think bioware has something planned for the Crucible and I don't think it's good.
The thing is, the reapers are over confident, why would te reapers give them Crucible technology, If the reapers can already win without its help. It's like overkill.

Let's say the IT is true, than it would be stupid from Bioware not to tell the truth about the ending and only give clues and hints. They will also get a lot of hate if they plan to do that, because than still the question remains if the reapers get destroyed.

There is no way to justify spending $3000 on a computer for gaming(pretty much Starcraft II only) and then spending another $1500 on a laptop haha

I prefer console anyways, keyboard.mouse is clunky to me.

I do enjoy knowing that I can get this game on either platform though.

Well with that new EA Latin guy confirming what we already knew, that the endings would only be clarified and expanded upon... WHAT ARE PEOPLE NOT GETTING?

Obviously this, or something along these lines has been true then. Expanded upon..

I'm excited. This is going to be a hell of a ride.

If IT was true, then they would only give you more clues to make it sound mroe possible.... they want you to say "Oh, but did he? Did he not?" Instead they got "FU BW".

If they tell you the truth, the game will be forgotten quickly, instead being vague will make you talk about it for years to come. (At least that's what they said they wanted)

My apologies for sounding abrasive. Re read it and realized how it could be misconstrued!

Thank you for bringing up the tweet. Didn't mean to make it sound like I was snapping at you. *brofist*

No problem, hard to determine tone from text. :)
Didn't realize that was your tweet. Thanks for that, it's yet another compelling piece of evidence. Either JM is both confirming things without checking first AND failing elementary school science (either of which I find highly unlikely) or she was giving us yet another strong hint that IT is true.

Since I know I'm going to have to explain it to someone... the Sol relay, "our" relay, is orbiting Charon. Which is a moon of Pluto. Pluto is about 9 light hours from Earth. The nearest star system from Sol is Alpha Centauri. It's about 4.25 light years away. So if the Sol relay is "WAY" too far away and it's only 9 light HOURS away, the chance of making it 4.25 light YEARS away is... well, there is no chance. Therefor we can safely assume that they're still in the Sol system. And of course Earth is the only planet or moon in the Sol system that can support plant life. If I have to tell anyone that Earth only has one moon, I'll cry. So yeah, if the Normandy couldn't make it to the relay as has been confirmed, then the crash scene is completely impossible.

Oh, and count me in on that whole "Crucible is a Reaper trap" bandwagon. There's no way organics keep managing to let the plans for that thing survive every purge for millions of years.

WOOT, Jessica Merizan FTW!  It's official, I think I'm in love.  Of course, nothing could ever happen, still.  Oh well, just glad to hear that she is still keeping us teased.  Could you repost the link to the tweet?

Wait...Sol is Earth?  Earth has only one moon?  Explain.... wink wink

Yeah, the crash scene and the tweet from JM pretty much is confirmed to not have been real, definitely not possible without space magic.

Crucible = IT'S A TRAP!  No way the Reapers didn't plant this devices blueprints for each cycle.

Rifeno I agree my thoughts from the start. Why introduce a super weapon thats been planned for millions of years and none completed it. Maybe the reapers gave the blueprints to one of the cyles or something lol... It wouldnt suprise me, I mean they stole the citadel in a suprise attack and dragged it to Earth... They have spies everywhere!

Why? Crucible, all galaxy or last big resistance, best soldiers in the galaxy all in one place end it in a well cordinated trap!

all hope for the galaxy dead in the first week...

every last defense adn assault force Anihhilated

all our forces trapted regrouping somewhere in the local cluster

Reports are coming in from all the other fleets, its a well coordinated trap, and so far its been damned effective!

Dont know what the crucible is or what it does or where it came from!

But If shephard doesnt wake up soon there wont bee a galaxy left to save!
