And this is why turians are epicly awesome.

To be fair, krogans were helping.  But yeah.  Just epic.  One of the best parts about multiplayer is that you can play other races.  It's great to be able to play as these awesome races.

LOL at my being asked for proof when I say a would-be smoking gun for IT isn't what it looks like after 900 pages of heavily supporting IT.  Why would I lie about that?!  Wee.

PLEASE ADD TO THE OP:

This is the definite nail that solidifies the theory into a fact: The post-processing shader at the end. Take a look, I call it the glaucoma effect because the corners of the screen are darkened (black) is only used in one other type of scene -- your dreams with the boy. This appears to be very conclusive that this is no longer a theory -- it is fact.

It isn't, you see this effect also in your dreams, but that doesn't prove a thing about indoctrination.

With crap like that, no wonder the thread is impossible to follow.

Discuss the image and its message or the discussion at hand and stop trolling
I have my reasons for reintroducing it into the discussion over 1000 pages later.

They  shouldnt matter to you. If you dont want to talk about the picture then dont, but making this about the poster instead of the post is obvious trolling.

Gotta love the Inception button, though. Back when I was in a concept art club at my college, they would press it every time someone walked into the room...or something awesome happened.

It proves that the devs conveyed the entire ending as a dream state.

Can someone confirm this? Maybe this is another troll trying to be funny.

This was around like 400 pages ago, and every time it's posted the same questions follow. No it's not a fake, yes it's been verified by posters before downloading the software that trawls through these files. No, it doesn't prove the end sequence is a dream.

I mean, it's almost as if, in this thread, there is a cycle that inevitably will repeat itself. Where have I heard this dren before?

I have nothing to add about that image, which has been discussed in hundreds of pages of this thread, and I strongly suspect you don't either. But if you do, feel free to contribute. All I saw was you posting an image that IS IN THE OP OF THIS THREAD, with no comment made. So how about you heed your own advice? Discuss or leave. Want my advice? Read the thread.

An asset is reused that's the only fact here, it doesnt prove anything.

I love my turian soldier. Too bad soldiers suck in gold. Have to rock my asari adept for that. :( He collects dust on my selection screen.

About the foliage. I say it's more of a point of proof than not. Why not just name it leafy_green_junk instead of adding the "dream" in there? I mean, they do use leaves in a lot of other places. They could have just as easily used them elsewhere first.

Ok I know that they wouldnt want all races in one spot of course... but maybe the reason they stole the citadell was to form a trap because they failed to spread all races thin. Maybe they found out about shephard uniting the galaxy and instead of letting the races fight near the citadel they picked a spot of their own choosing to try and trap all races in an ambush or something...

Its farfecthed I know I just love to speculate.

What would you do if you where the reapers... You knew they had a superweapon they needed to get to the citadel... You knew they where all joined togheter in the biggest fleet of all time...

Would you hide the citadell in deep dark space? Would you rtake controll of the Station shut down the relays and circumwhene the flotilla and destroy world after world and starve them and weaken them...

Oh yeah if they got the citadell why didnt they just power down the relays just a thought!?

I've just speed-watched through all of series 2 to 4... on youtube! amazing. Skipping the filler episodes. Tell you what, the Mass Effect writers certainly liked their Farscape.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CHARACTERS.

JC and Dargo = Shep and Garrus. Dargo still wins.

It does not. Also don't treat the theory as a fact. It is a theory until confirmed or denied by bioware.

@CheeseOnion: Taken at face value, you just repeated what leewells said, you just arrived at a different conclusion

@leewells: CheeseOnion may have mistyped and meant to include that the same effect is used in the Geth consensus mission.

In summary, doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it could have been used to signify portions of the game that aren't real.

I checked it and you don't see the effect anymore when you enter the Citadel and the effect you mention looks a lot different than what you see in the dreams.

At this point it feels like IT or bust. Bioware has themselves to blame for letting it get to this. If its false then they could have nipped it in the bud earlier on with a single tweet. The fact that they have not denied it has let it grow into something that even major publications have taken seriously.

^ This.

Either they've had this (or something similar) in the bag the whole time, or are seriously considering taking it on. I'd definitely say they've had it from the get go. Still, it's just a theory.
