There there, man. I don't think even EA would allow something like internal videogames to have 'real' world consequences... But, of course, it's EA.  :D

Why not? It's been done in films before.

But this isn't a film.

What could be a better PR if your game has influence on the behavior of hundred thousand of players?
That would definitly define videogames as art, for once and for all.

Maybe it has been said before, and maybe I´m wrong, but....
Weren´t the citadel arms controls in the council meeting room in ME1? I don´t remember very well, but I think that was from there where Saren open/close the arms for Sovereign and where Shepard re-open them... So, if the control room in ME3 is real.. why is it in a different place?

I repeat, I may be wrong, there is too much time since my last play to ME1

Horrifying thought- what if the "Take Earth Back" was hinting at *cringe* time travel? :wizard::pinched:

New ending could go something like:

1. Joker emerges from Normandy
2. EDI emerges from Normandy
3. Delorean burns through the jungle, and Doc Brown hops out.

"Joker! You've gotta come back with me! We have to stop the Reapers in 1955!"

4. Garrus emerges from Normandy, sees Doc and heads for the nearest cliff.

"I'm goin to do a Tali because this is *%€£Ed up."

5. Javik emerges from Normandy, shoots Doc in the head

"The last Prothean concurs. Who wrote this crap?"

It is impossible to understand if he is saying can or can't. I don't give anything on it.
BUT why should he say I CAN tell you that the ending will be on the disc?
I can't remember any normal videogame which had an pure dlc ending. So why is he even saying it, if there is no clue in it. He could also say, Shep still has the N7 logo or Shep is still in charge of the Normandy. It is far too basic, to even get stated.
My oppinion.

last time I played Me3, now I cant sleep, and I admitt I succumbed to Indoctrination on my second playtrough, this torture was so horrible I just dont know what to say, it started to play when I was about to make one of the three choices:( If you have high enough points!

Spoiler a reaper emerges above the plattform!

He is starting to ohh god... and my shephard and me fall to my knees begging for it to stop,we halt for minutes while this echoes trough my mind My shephard start to cry while he just ends the torture by shooting himself in this dream/realtiy mind****

I have found a video of the things start at 45 seconds and youl know what he did to my Shephard... I mean it would have been nicer if he had been raped by a brute but no.... I cant sleep anymore have you seen this! It must been a dream of some sort because an old friend returned!

Dont play to nice in this game above link shows what nasty trick this old dead I thought thing pulls off:(

I mean how do you fight these things when they can do this!

I finished the second game yesterday and don't know if that was brought up. When I was on the collector ship and later on the base Shep or Garrus state, that the collectors only can use humans still alive to make them into the Reaper stuff and that not all humans can be used for it (you see some piles of dead people which were sortet out and not used for the human reaper).

Also in the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC Liara tells us, that the collectors wanted to buy dead Shep from the SB but Liara saved the body and gave it to Cerberus.

I think that's another hint, that the Reapers (Harbinger) want Shep very badly.. and they want him alive in first place... and only want him dead if there is no other way.

True and true, and remember, when going through the Collector ship you find piles of dead bodies similar to ones you find in the dark corridor on the Citadel. Depending on what squadmates you bring with you to the ship in ME2 they'll make  comments as to their purpose. Mordin for example will say "Possible control group, or rejects from experiments, useless so discarded," or something along those lines (been ahwile since I brought Mordin on the mission). So it's possible that those piles of dead bodies are the "rejects" to becoming the "Reaper fluid", maybe their genetic material wasn't good enough, maybe they were tainted or their DNA was too altered (i.e. too husk-like from the indoctrination, you don't see any piles of husks to indicate the Reapers possibley making a Reaper from them).

Hmm. Speculation. More to think on.

You make a good point of them wanting Shepard alive for their experiments. Then again...why would the Reaper destroys be trying to kill him/her during Tuchanka and Rannoch... Hmm.

Dead Shepard is still better than alive and Reaper killing Shepard is my guess.

The way I see it Indoctrination is kinda a last line of defense for the Reapers if they fail to kill Shepard in a conventional way. They have allready seen how much he can survive and as such consider deep Indcotrination a viable approach, but if he gets stopped on Tuchanka or Rannoch so much the better as it prevents the Galaxy from becoming united against the Reapers, the thing they are trying to prevent him from achieveing as that is what spells bad news for them.

As dangerous as Shepard is on his own and as much damage as he could cause Indoctrinated, a united Galaxy is still a greater threat, at least that is how I see it. By the time of Earth the Galaxy is allready united so killing Shep will have less effect or perhaps even the reverse by making him a martyr, but indoctrinating him removes any chance of that.

Thats their basic statment they always mention. If IDT is right, its quit obvious, that the Reaper is trying to give you simple facts already known, to make you believe you are right. His explanation is easy, but not valid and now its not Shep anymore who makes the descission, this time it is completly up to you. U need get aware of the indoctrination and reject it. Shep is only following your controler at that part. Thats why there are no explanations Shep could ask about. It is REALLY players choice what will happen.

Hmm, not related to IT really, but I was just thinking. It's been hinted at that Quarians have cybernetic enchancements, correct? If so, does that mean (if the ending is real), choosing destroy kills the reapers (and cerberus), you, the geth, the Quarians and everyone else who has, say, a pacemaker or whatever?

Well your guy talks in Da2, just that you're not the warden anymore, and I think that is a big reason why so many didn't like DA2. (including other things)

Going to have to disagree there. Vehemently. DA2's failure was hardly in that we got a new main character. It was in a storyline that made little sense, characters (including the main character) having to be complete idiots and not see blindingly obvious things, and choices pretty much being non-existent. The most rage inducing, IMO, was on multiple occasions you have an antagonist doing something that warrants their death, they're right in front of you, you're fully capable of killing them, you even get "I'll kill you" type of dialogue options. But you have to just let them walk away for no reason other than the plot gods saying so. DA2 deserves every bit of criticism it gets, and the main character change had exactly zero to do with it.

If someone wants to try DA2, it probably won't be bad as long as you go into it with the proper mindset. Realize upfront that the story is set in stone. Don't expect your choices to matter because they don't. Everything will play out exactly the same regardless. If you enjoy Final Fantasy types where the story is set in stone, you'll probably enjoy DA2.

Someone's going to kill me for this but... Liara's skin texture kills her romance for me. It's leathery.
*sigh* I wish they'd have included a human female option that I never wanted to throw out the airlock.

I have a new theory. I'd bet that the ending and the indoctrination of Shepard is a setup for a follow up game with Major Coates as the main character. The fight isn't finished, Shepard has been captured, injured, or turned, and this sniper guy with way too much screen time for such an otherwise small role is supposed to pick up the pieces in a story-concurrent DLC that extends the take back earth story and helps to wrap up the ending better.

Nah. That'd be silly.

You know, that's not super-farfetched. I did get the sense that Coates was being set up for something. He seemed "significant."

Every BW game I've ever played has let you choose the sex and appearance of the main character.

They went through the wrong way of a one-way relay? That would be a neat trick.

You should play the first Mass Effect sometime. It's a good game.

Earthborn_Shepard wrote...

You'd also have to wonder how Shep could control ANYTHING when he is a puddle of ash. Because, you know, he completely gets dissolved. The starchild was talking about how he would become something else, but...

I think the notes they gave Prima for the guide are still true and they just made it more subtle. "If you choose to become a Reaper". Well, you could certainly control a Reaper if you were one right? =/
