If it has been confirmed that Normandy never made it to the Sol relay, does thaat mean that paradise planet has to be somewhere in our system?

Can anyone kindly answer this?

The only world capable of sustaining life in the Sol system is earth.

If it didn't have enough time to reach the Sol relay how could it move onto another system?

EDIT: sorry wrong quote -__-. I was replying to the person who said the Normandy may have been in another system within the local cluster.

By FTL :)

Then why not go for the Relay by FTL? Would take less time. Can't wrap my head around this one :X

With the IT becoming so widespread and popular why wouldn't bioware do the right thing and squash it if it wasn't true.

I'm not sayin it is true but if it's false why would they let such a strong sentiment fester? It would only hurt them in the end. They've already debunked other rumors.

Videos so good.

Makes too much sense not to be true. xD

Either that or Bioware rushed it full retard towards the ending and don't care.

Thats what i meant. I mean the nearest star system is 4.2 light years away, even at FTL speeds it would take them considerable time to swoop down, pick up the squadmates and fly away. Also, if they didnt go through the mass relay, then what is the explosion they are running from? The destruction only travelled from relay to relay, so if your not caught in a relay you should be fine. To me, the confirmation that they never made it to Sol relay means at least the Normandy scene didn't actually happened. Sorry if this is obvious, I'm a relatively new IDT convert =))

There are so amny holes in the logic at the ending it is meaningless to discuss evry one of them in details separatly. I think it has no logic at all beond "artistic feeling"

On Omega:
Why would Cerberus want to take over Omega?
Trade?
Another Base?
or
A third thing? :-p
Cerberus is risking a serious amount of resources in attacking, capturing and holding Omega. They have a fleet, ground troops, etc.
There has to be a reason for it. Additionally, there has to be a reason it was mentioned and made part of the story. If the DEVS didn’t want to re-do Omega for ME3 they could have come up with numerous reasons for Aria to be on the Citadel.

If Cerberus just wanted another base they could have built another one. Maybe it is actually more cost-effective to attack Omega than build a space station of that size. But as pointed out previously, its shape is very similar to that of the Crucible. Perhaps it is a Crucible that was constructed by the Protheans or another race.
And if TIM & Cerberus were bent on using it to control the reapers then it would also be highly probable that TIM reprogrammed the Prothean VI to send Shepard and the Alliance to earth & the Citadel and risk their Crucible in a vain attempt to stop them. This would give TIM time to complete his plans. Perhaps this is why after the “ending” the save game takes you back to just before assaulting the Cerberus base.

well I was curious and I compared Omega and the Crucible...
omega  wedonetwork.co.uk/wedotech/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Omega.jpg
crucible fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/073/f/9/mass_effect_3_crucible_by_droot1986-d4sq44j.jpg
their "tail" and "head" are  the same.. omega has only an asteroid in the head and the tail is a bit damaged.
maybe it won't be nothing important but .. I don't know.. SPECULATIONS! ;)

There is a popular joke in my country : When do you consider a movie artsy?
When it ends abruptly when you least expect it to.

I think that's what happened to ME3 xD

Yeah that's what we've been getting at in the previous pages. i also love the idea of the protheans trying to hide their crucible inside an asteroid.

Like I said before, this could actually be the answer on why a DLC on Omega would explain the endings better, if Shepard finds out that the Crucible is a trap form date available from Omega (The older crucible), or there is a missing component that will give the crucible a fourth final choice, then the ending could drastically change.

This should definetly not go ingored. and requires MORE speculation!

Yeah it's real. it's part of the reason the game is so poorly rated.

Talking about game ratings. it crossed my mind that major rating sites like ign or gamespot actually got the real ending but are legally bound to stfu about it...hence the good ratings. i mean noone in their right mimd would rate mass effect 3 a 9.5 with the current ending, now would they?

I also would love diana llaer to be the catalyst, which needs to be sacrificed in order to kill the reapers...you know? For the sake of sacrificing her.

Maybe they just thought it was a great game, even with the ending as it is.

You can simply refuse to let her on the Normandy, so she'll board another ship which gets shot, killing her :D

Well, I somehow feel that just "resetting" the player to the moment before Priority Cerberus would be wrong. I feel everything should somehow start after the Indoc sequence. The only way to go back to an earlier stage would then be Indoc starting earlier than the beam thing.

One other thing is that reviewers aren't actually fans of the series and see it as any other game without any attachment to it, they probably think the ending could be better but that's it and leave it at that but when a fan reviews it he's dissecting the game, pointing out every point that bugs him.
