Bioware probably isnt just going to come out "yep it's indoctorination folks" whats the point of that? It'll most likely be "we are providing an ending dlc to expand on the current endings that are in place." If they just out and said it then it'd completely destroy the in game reveal lol
THAT MEANS MORE WAITING AND MORE SPECULATION! NOOOOOO!

Yeah, I hope they find some middle ground between "we will release DLC that has content related in some way to the ending" and "indoctrination/intoxication/flatulation theory is totally true/false, let us tell you about our genius plan!"

Ok after watching the leaving Earth sequence again I'm now almost totally convinced that child is not real. The soldier standing next to it was doing nothing, yet he won't lend his hand to the struggling kid. It'd have been reasonable if the soldier was shooting or helping others, but just standing there?? Can't digest it.
Also notice.. there is a lone soldier standing inside the shuttle. And before the child boards the shuttle, a soldier can be seen helping an injured civllian aboard the shuttle.. if he was inclined to help that civillian.. why did he feel it necessary to neglect the child?
Yup. I was talking about that soldier inside the shuttle. He just stands there and does nothing.

They are quite interesting as usually every single object you can interact with or destroy is marked but them. You can shoot them and they explode but as they are not being marked they are a lot less noticeable. (Clever hint of indoctrination maybe?)
I saw one in the Asari Monastery, in the room where you also find the daily schedule iirc. I also think I remember a screen with one but with a completely different background, so I guess there are more than that one which leads me again to my original question: how many Indoctrination Boosters did you see and where are they?

GamerLive.TV: Recently "Mass Effect 3" has been in the news because of its controversial ending. Longtime fans of the franchise are asking BioWare to remake the ending and provide a satisfying resolution to the series. What's your take on the subject and would you be open in returning to the role?
Meer: BioWare has said recently that they are considering all fan feedback, positive and negative. I don't actually know anything about their actual plans (and I couldn't say anything if I did), but I do know that there will be upcoming DLC. Changing or expanding the end of the game wouldn't be unprecedented. The gaming community saw it a few years ago with "Fallout 3" from Bethesda and the "Broken Steel" DLC. I really enjoyed "Fallout 3," and didn't really have a problem with its ending, but was thrilled to get the "Broken Steel" disc. Obviously, if BioWare wants to record more dialogue, I'd be there. I'm definitely scheduled to record more dialogue for DLC, but at this stage, I don't know what that will entail.
This. Mark Meer (broShep) talking about the ending.

They devoted like an hour to discussing the endings, and basically all of them like it.
One of them just said 'The human reaper at the end of ME2 made no sense at all to me, but the catalyst at the end of ME3 made perfect sense'
I dont even know how you can think like that

Who does the RT podcasts Geoff and Matt? I wonder if they realize that the ending as is makes the bulk of ME2 make no sense

IF IDT is real.. which i hope it is.. Bioware has pulled a rather risky twist. Some people will love it and some people will hate it..but it sets a new standard for videogames and that in my opinion is what intrigues me most about it.
I bet the people who had a hunch that Deckard was a replicant in Blade Runner were psyched to hear Ridley Scott reveal that he actually was a replicant.. even after being bombarded by anti replicant theorists stating "you guys are grasping at straws.. theres no evidence for it"
The only problem I really have with IT is that it means I was still sold an incomplete game. This new standard doesn't intrigue me as much as make me angry. I have to pay X amount just for the game then X amount for the ending. Not a precident I'm very happy about. It's bad enough that I have to wait a bit to buy games like Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim in order to give the devs time to fix the massive bugs. I'd rather they delay for 6 months and get it right. Even if you have to delay multiple times. It's still better than releasing an unfinished product.
Despite my misgivings about all of that. I still think IT is the best way out of the corner Bioware has painted itself into. Even if they didn't come up with IT and just screwed up badly on the ending. I'd still claim it was the plan all along just to cover my own butt if I were them

funny that you say that. my cousin always waits six month before he plays anything new. he says they need about half a year to fix everything.

Well I got the idea to check around from this Youtube video. It's all the sounds you hear in the dreams extracted from the game. I at least could not hear any of those Reaper/demonic sounding sounds unless I was standing near the child. I'm probably not the first to have noticed this.
www.youtube.com/watch
I wanted to add: there are clearly 3 lines from the child, but queued right after that there are more "reaper/demonic" sounds but if listened closely they are, in my opinion, also lines from the child but so much distorted with effects to sound different. What *I think* I hear:
Kids voice:
25s-33s Come with me.
34s-40s [...] I'm alone. (Can't really make it out, it seems to begin with "kills" but it doesn't make much sense with the rest)
41s-49s Come with me.
Reaper/Demon voice:
50s-62s Come with me. .. Come. (Not sure, but sounds very much like that)
71s-76s [...]tion (The -tion part is pretty clear but I can't make out the rest)

This was posted some time back and has it's own thread but is relevant. In the 2nd dream (After the shroud) if you get very close to the child at the end of the dream, but don't trigger the ending; you will hear a very noticeable noise. Very dark sounding and can have some undertone of a machine/metallic sound. It's not saying words that can be understood but more like just speaking in tongues really fast.
Right at the end, right when you get to the citadel control panel and Anderson starts to turn around; you hear that same noise all the way up to when TIM does his first "Oily Shadows" thing.
Pretty interesting since, even if you don't buy into IT, the whole theme of that part of the game is TIM is obviously indoctrinated and that keys his entrance.
Thoughts?

Yeah they are right. I waited to get New Vegas and thus had a much happier time than most. The same with Skyrim. One of the early patches fundamentally broke a key gameplay mechanic of the game by removing all resistances to magic and elements. Because I waited I was able to avoid all that drama. Sadly, with ME3 I couldn't resist. Plus, the first 2 ME didn't give me any problems. So I felt safe buying it right out of the gate. Though with the ending, I'm starting to question my judgement

I also want some people to give feed back on the main "moon" in that scene. During the stargazer scene it looks like more then a moon. It has an obvious cloud cover and perhaps even continents. Now I know moons can have an atmosphere and even water given the rare conditions. It just seems like it might be Earth and Luna there. Only problem with that is if that IS Earth and Luna, then where are they standing?

Noticed that as well. Interesting. I do think the dreams have more (or should have) to do with what's going on than meets the eye. They are just too much out of context not just in the game but in the series itself. Espeically if you play renegade. Seems strange that I can delight in killing and just being a rather unpleasant person. Then start having dreams of just one kid

It is more likely the scene plays on a moon and that is the planet. If the moon were that close to be so big it would either result in horrific conditions because of the stress, or the moon crashing into the planet.Kroen135 wrote...
Another thing I wanted to point out after just finishing the game (3rd time) the final scene with stargazer. If you look at it closely it looks like your dream world you are in during the dream sections of the game. Only it has leaves on the trees. Could be reused textures but still interesting.
