No suprise there.

Isn't that an internet-based poll though?

No, it's an official "award" for companies in the US. EA won against Bank of America and AT&T.

Congratulations, EA! :D

I've been wondering - what's the general consensus here? That Catalyst child didn't exist and the final sequence was Shepard vs Harbinger?

Checked. Yeah it is an internet poll, so take it with a pinch of salt.

The general idea is that the Catalyst child didn't exist at the end but may have a real boy at some point right at the start (like when we see the kid playing with the model spaceship) but it is possible the boy died when the Reapers blew apart the apartment he was in.

As for the final sequence the evidence suggests that it was a hallucination brought about by indoctrination but there is no evidence that Harbinger was responsible one way or another other than Harbinger was nearby at the time. The ending could literally be Shepard's subconcious attempting to fight off the indoctrination through the trippy dream scenes that he is interpreting the indoctrination as, there is no evidence that the Catalyst at the end wasn't merely Shepard speculating after hearing the Prothean VI talk about how the Reapers may be slaves to the cycle and not the masters of it themselves.

Kinda hard to tell specific facts about what is going on in the real world if IT is true as the end sequence is then a hallucination. Some of the stuff might be Shepard being partly concious of stuff like the initial radio chatter which sounds very realistic (damaged, static etc) compared to when Hackett asks you to open the arms (perfect clarity).

So hard to say, hopefully we know one way or the other tomorrow.

Also: Deckard (Bladerunner) was a replicant!? 20 years later and the author reveals the clues via interview. Bioware people were twittering that back and forth to each other.

Some reporters are just saying the headlines and not actually looking into the poll at all so probably not your mistake at all =]

Ok, so if I decide to kill the Rachni queen in ME1, she doesn't appear in ME3?

Yes she does, she's just a little different because the Reapers kind of revived her, she's a lot more evil.. but over all I thought the difference would be bigger.. sigh

A cloned rachni queen appears (spoiler) that will betray you later if you let her survive. (/spoiler)

But this has nothing to do with indoctrination theory (at least unless you're getting at something), so this is the wrong thread for that.

One bit I really like about the ending (again if IT is true) is that it tries to trick you into believing that there are Paragon and Renegade choices. Shepard's morals have been either "Defeat the Reapers, try to protect people" or "Defeat the Reapers by any means". The red and blue colouring for the destroy and control endings are meant to mislead you, i.e. Blue is good, these are choices you can take. The *only* choice when Shepard stays true to himself is Destroy, all the others means he starts to follow the paths of Saren or TIM.

PAX twitter has just confirmed that they indeed wont be streaming Bioware's panel ...

https://twitter.com/...873037687861248

If Bioware planned to announce something big like IDT it should be streamed ...
Or maybe Bioware plans to stream it themselves on ME website?

Oh man I have had enough of all those speculations ...

I found this hilarious. And don't take that "it's an internet poll" thing as nothing, because EA actually responded (check the article directly after that one) as a sore loser.

Yeah I know this is not the right thread, sorry for that. Just a final question: so that means you cannot get the cloned Rachni to cooperate with you no matter what, if you didn't save her in ME1 right?
