Well, it was quite obvious that they did not have a "secret ending" so to speak. Though i would not want to despise those who truly believed in IT, it was mostly grasping at straws unfortunately.

Besides, despite being a deus ex machina cliche(and of course the three colour thing), real major downside of the endings was lack of closure.

A few minor tweaks here and there and some closure should do just fine. For example; all starchild and stargazer stuff is quite meaningless and should be altered easily, thus making a good enough ending for the Mass Effect.

I'm not a Bioware fan anymore i think but, i also think we all should get over our disappointment and stop beating the crap out of them. They seem to be reacting to fanbase as best as they can. It has to count for something good when they have a company like EA looking over their shoulders.

Ha! I spent 45 euro for my game.. Bioware will lose MILIONS in the next game the do.. so, they are the ones losing here not us. This game isn't our real life, I can't say the same thing for Bioware.. ;)
Italy will hold the line until tomorrow. Out.

The news is already out, this only leads to angry people at their booth instead of curious/hopeful ones at PAX.

A sight to behold I'm sure.

It's funny, yesterday I was like 70% believing IDT and 30% doubting it. Now those are switched.

But what exactly did this press release tell us that voided this theory? Is it because it says "additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes" and doesn't say additional gameplay?

I've always thought I was a 'realist' or at best skeptically optimistic, but IDT has always been just a theory (it's in the title) so why is there such a push back? I'm not sure IDT would have been announced via press release (especially an EA press release) so while I'm definitely deflated, I will still think that this theory has legs.

Haha I did have a nice tinfoil hat comment about the release,of the statement and how it ties to indoctrination of the player. It would also explain why this was released today and not later.

This is so tinfoil hat and only the hardcore will believe, I personally think it's over, but I can give a conspiracy theory for you.

This last announcement is OUR test. Just like shep was given those choices after a traumatic moment we are standing at our choice. Do we give up on our beliefs, or do we struggle through and keep to our beliefs until the very end.

lance said there was something big. We have hope. More than we know.

So here's a bit of hope for those who still believe in bioware.

Oh my lord.

It's in development. Meaning, they didn't have some secret ending in the bag the whole time.

Makes a lot more sense to have the dlc in development for IT. They didn't say they STARTED development of it.

Well, I just read the story. So, since it came today, I would say there is still hope for us. Just hold the line until PAX, I will consider IT true until then.

I think it is because of a fan outrage that has not been seen before or ever. I'm not saying this outrage was unjust, i was, too, disappointed hugely when i finaly finished the game. It took quite an amount of time to get over it, i've intensely invested myself to this game also, but at some point, you just have to accept that this is it, this is the ending we got.

Of course they'll change(or expand) it, they have a responsibility to us fans, but i don't think we can force a specific ending.

We won nothing. This Press Release is so... convoluted...
I need to wait till tomorrow because I need an explanation.

I just need to know if the "current ending" is really how they wanted to finish the trilogy.

I need the explanation of mysterious escape of Normandy.

I need their comment about the promises they made to us.

If I don't get those answers tomorrow then I will express my deepest feelings ;)

Why aren't they just saying they aren;t planning a new ending, or telling him it's false.

Really. In ME1 we kicked the crap out of Sarin. In ME2 we took our crew through the Omega 4 relay and kicked the crap out of the collectors. In ME3 everyone who came to Earth to help us fight the reapers are now trapped there never to see their loved ones again. I realize your trying to be nice and I'm trying not to completely unload on you, but come on. This was worse than a bad ending. It was an ending full of hopelessness.
