What people don't seem to realize is that IT can still be true with BW only adding cinematics, conversations, cutscenes, etc. If it's all a "dream," what happens in said dream could actually still be the real "end boss." After that, there's no more gameplay, just some clarification of what happened and then your EMS determines what the Crucible does. Or there could be another choice. My point is it's still possible.
I'll do the same for you:
Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.
does IT change the endings? NO
what exaclty does IT do? expand on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by providing additional clarity and closure
hope this helps.

IT is not true.
Are you kidding? They are standing by the current endings and adding cutscenes. IT nullifies two endings. They ARE NOT doing that. How is this hard to understand? Why do even think they put those questions in the FAQ? It clearly says they are clarifying the EXISTING ENDING SEQUENCES. Sequence means cutscenes.

I still want to get DLC where I, as Shepard, ride on the top of the Normandy opposing reaper fleet and shouting to joker "Drive me closer! I want to hit them with my omni-tool!"
That would be an epic ending!
Wow I dont know about everyone else but...um how do i put this...ah, j*zz buckets? hahahah:P:lol:
Please show me the part where it says no more gameplay? Becasue there is in fact none. Whatever tone the article sets can easily be disregarded for the actual context. I will wait and see until content is released or is talked about more. Hell, maybe I will only have to wait until tomorrow. So what I am saying is please refrain from saying that the statement says IT isn't true, because that statement itself is not true.Piplodocus wrote...

Let me preface this by saying that I wanted IT to be Bioware's true intention as much as anybody, and more than most of them.
However, the reality is that this news very strongly implies that it is not what Bioware intended, and almost certainly will not happen. If IT was true, then Shep would have to get up and conclude the fight with Harbinger. But this statement says there will be "cinematics and epilogues", i.e. no more gameplay. Now in theory I suppose they could have the Shep get up and somehow win the war as part of one long cinematic, but that seems very unlikely to me; I think those of us who were putting their faith in IT assumed that if true there would be playable content after the "breath scene". Since this statement tells us there is no more playable content I think it's exceptionally unlikely that anything recognisable as IT will be implemented now, in the summer, or ever.

Ha!
There's been loads of threads asking whether I'd buy another BioWare game if the current endings turned out to be canon, and I held off answering them because I didn't really know. My gut reaction to this announcement is as mixed as ever. I still don't think the blog post tolls the death knell for IT, but as much as I'm trying to remain positive, I don't like the sound of it.
The thing I'm clinging to, though, is that you'd think if IT wasn't true, they'd have outright said it by now. The simple fact that they keep stringing the fans along, leaving a little hint here and a clue there, never outright denying or confirming anything, is in danger of doing more damage to their fanbase than the endings themselves.
On the other hand, why would they bother releasing this blog post if they're just going to do a total 180 tomorrow?
Oh well, I guess we'll find out in 24 hours or so. I'm still holding the line, but more in hope than expectation now.
P.S. Can anyone fill me in on what time their panel starts? I'm in Spain so I'll be 6 or 9 hours ahead, depending on which bit of USA it's in (I should probably know that).

IDT does NOT nullify the ending. That happened. IDT completely agrees that the ending happens. How do we make this clearer? IDT would require addtional explanation to the ending (clarification and closure) and can be done by cinematics only.
