I will prove that IT can work within the constraints of a cinematic. Watch.
Shepard Breath Scene, then, new custscene begins.
[Star child appears before Shepard, looking down at him if their EMS was low, or they chose destroy, otherwise the scene changes if it was not.]
SC: Shepard, you disappoint me. It seems there is little point in devoting any further effort to you.
......
*snip*
.....
CHILD: So... what happened after?
STARGAZER [laugh]: That's another story my sweet, and one not related to The Shepard.
CHILD: Well.. what happened to him? And his friends?
STARGAZER: Well...
[cut to text crawl, blue background, ME1 theme playing. Text crawl next to each character's picture, including all squad mates, Wrex, Aria, Joker/EDI, Grissom Academy, Earth, Cerberus, TIM ect.]
There, a serviceable ending, incorporating IT, and entirely in cutscenes. Point made.

You Sir! I love this! Look here Bioware someone made it for you!

Thank you for your effort, nice read.

*bow* thank you, thank you, I pride myself on my skill.
But don't get me wrong. This isn't what I imagine the cutscene endings to be. This is what I expect Bioware to MAKE.
The simple explanation of "Bioware dropped the ball." simply defies logic, it requires them to somehow, simataneously be excellent at their jobs (as ME3 attests for the most part) while somehow being absolutely TERRIBLE at their jobs. requiring the entire writing team, as well as the developers, the investors, publisher and CO, CEO, and COO to suddenly, somehow have had brain anuyresms all at the same moment.
MORDIN: Statistically unlikely. Verbal irony, communication of idea intended to bite. Clever. Very clever.

You understand that the writings teams can and did change between 1, 2, and 3, right? So your unlikely statistics are suddenly thrown askew.
Or maybe you didn't notice the funny little letters "EA" in front of Bioware now. I admit. They're easy to miss.

Ok. listen to me carefully. I'll type slowly so I don't lose you.
EA.
has been.

the
beginning.
Look it up, also, I notice you, like several other of the anti-it trolls, all seem to have exactly one game registered, what experience can YOU cite for experience with Mass Effect hmm? Mister, I just joined this year? Hmm?
Also, I'll add for the record, the writing team is mostly the same as ME2, which is mostly the same (plus some additions) as ME1. The only REAL difference is Drew Karpyshyn left.

I don't understand why, if they are going to announce something different tomorrow, they'd 'lie' to us today. Seems odd :SAnd about the clarification thing. The endings are staying the same, or so they said. Unless IT is true and there is stuff added on (which isn't really clarifying, but instead adding extra ending stuff) we have to take the ending as 'true' which goes against the supposedly established physics of the ME universe. It would have to be some pretty good clarification for the ending to make sense -as it is now- without seeming like convoluted space magic
Clarifictation means the endings AS THEY ARE are untouched yes. But clarification means explanation, which, REQUIRES additional information. How does that make those "true"? I'll tell you, it doesn't. The endings are still there, they are expanded upon. Voila, clarification.
