Well, they want people to get excited about the Extended Cut. If they were to just debunk the IT now no one would be bothered to play it to find out.

Yup. Suspicious. Cannot talk about subject matter of fan theory. Reason? Don't want to debunk? Wording suggests either positive or negative answer. Cannot be taken one way or another. Must aquire further analysis.

once again, all they said was they weren't going to comment about the IT more and to play the DLC to find out what's going on....

Folks: let's be honest here. That's not good.

IT, "um," demonstrating "the commitment of the fanbase" is a comment in it of itself, and we know it. He basically just said that it is an invention of passionate fans, free to interpret the game any way they'd like.

If the "extended cut" were going to incorporate IT, then the only answer to that question would be "wait and see." Instead he tells us that he doesn't want to prescribe an interpretation.

Bottom line: he doesn't want to tell us IT is "wrong," but it pretty clearly wasn't intended.

Damn.

That or they are "oh crap they're onto us." It's still a vague wording and it looks like they are trying to hide something. Might just be me seeing things when theres none to be found but Im told Im chronically optimisitic

it was more the "Um" part makes it sound like he was trying to word in so as not to cause offence....... well the voice i red it in sounded like that alteast

so what that IT answer said to me was

we made the ending as open and ambigious as possible so everyone can make of it what they want, which backfired horribly and now have to try and salvage what we can

so every theory is right and wrong at the same time as there doesn't seem to be a definitive ending because all they wanted was for everyone to have their own ending (or headcanon)

so guess what, we are right and wrong at the same time, atleast that what i make of all their comments up until now

Okay, I hate that it has come to this, and I hate even more to actually do this, but...

How much actual information have we gotten since this thread started?

Now it's important that none of you get me wrong, I'm not saying the thread is pointless or anything, as a matter of fact, on the contrary - it has many people's hopes up, including mine.

What I'm saying is, even after this PAX thing, I'm as much in the dark as I was when I finished the game a couple of days after it was released.

So, to reiterate:
How much actual information have we gotten since this thread started?

EDIT: I may be a bit drunk, I just remembered that there was that announcement of the Truth/Closure DLC. But... pretty much all of us expected at least that, right?
