While my hope is dwindling, I still think there is a chance IT is true.

I don't understand why they would not just say it isn't true if, in fact, it isn't. People are saying the reason is so us IT believers buy the DLC, but the DLC is free! And yes, eventually there will be DLC that we have to purchase, but by then we would have all watched the clarification DLC and realized IT is or is not true.

Doesn't make sense.

Edit: spelling

They have to know that by letting Indoctrination Theory go on like this they are digging themselves a hole with all of the people who support it.. which is a hefty number of us.

I love IT to death... but seriously..

I have fought for IT since release. fought hard...

But we have to open our eyes. hope doesn't matter anymore, there is not chance it will be included. certainly not in the way we wanted it to be included. Dont give the opposition more fuel. lets let it go.

Here is a theory of my own; What if they did intend on making an expansion to the ending all along, but all of this negative feedback about the game not being finished and it was a horrible ending and what not, caused them to re-access their original plan. So what they are now doing is saying that they are taking fan feedback to save face and saying it was never intended so the people who thought they got an incomplete game will be happy, those who didn't like the end can also be happy, and Bioware/EA comes out smelling like roses giving away DLC and implementing player feedback. THEY WILL NEVER CONFIRM OR DENY IT WAS INTENDED but if IT comes out and is the expanded ending then everyone will get what they want(well almost anybody).

Thoughts? I honestly think what they are doing is genius if im right.

like i said b4, IDT or not, if the extended version (which they will make with care and detail, seeing as it wont be released til summer) is good, then who cares? Plus its all free as well as the MP DLC.. I'll take it.

Convinced me to stay until they offically debunk it.

Even if it is just one, it's worth it.

Oh, there's more than one of us who will hold the line.  Didn't you see my rallying cry earlier?  We're not giving up that easily.

I didn't miss the shot. Infiltrators do not intentionally miss.

This. Unfortunately because of that I initially missed the best line in the game.

Bioware is giving us bull crap and trying not to say anything about the ending/IT.

Not in a real combat situation, no, but to make a good friend happy? Yes. Yes they do.

Even the most hardened rengade should know that.

I heard that 'um'. He's being suspiciously picky with his words.

Exactly.

They won't flat out deny it. They dodged the question QUICK. "um" is a silly thing to debunk the theory with.

When asked about IT, the reply was: "Um, IT shows how 'committed' our fans are...."

"I don't want to be perscriptive...."

That implies the "perscription" would be to tell those committed fans that they're wrong, which you clearly don't want to do in that position.

But this isn't the answer you give if IT is actually planned/incorporated.....seriously folks? If IT was planned and incorporated, you think that the answer would have been phrased that way?

"It was created by our fans and we don't want to tell them what to think so I'll shut up now" is the opposite of validation.

I still believe in IT because it would make for a killer ending, and makes far, far more sense than the one we were provided, but it's pretty clearly not the one they were/are planning.

Let's be careful not to actually give opponents of IT the satisfaction of seeing us actually "grasp at straws."

Hmm, he says a little more than what the blog says (of course they're just paraphrasing)
