well, no IT then no reason to hang in the forums till summer. This DLC is gonna blow. at least its free so Bioware can cover their asses and make fun of people who still complain
damn im pissed.
If you lose all hope because of a vague answer and yesterday's DLC announcement which didnt say anything we hadnt already known for weeks, I'd venture a guess and say your faith in IT wasnt very strong to begin with.
dont you think I want IT to be true. they just told you no, and you cant see it. I was like you till yesterday. Its over. Hope will only ****** you off more when summer comes around and you realise its not IT its not a dream, its just **** writing with more **** writing on top to cover it... no good
Ok, stop. I mean, there's always hope. I like IT, I like to believe it's true and there're a lot of things that support that thought. That doesn't mean that you still have to believe it.
The thing now is... I want to believe in the IT because it makes sense to me, because they didn't denied it. If It is not true, we'll know it when the DLC is out, and if the "clarifications" are good, then I'm fine, and I'm sure byne will be fine.

What is this I'm reading? Is this a religion now? If you believe hard enough it'll come true?
It's a friggin video game.
You're upset with the endings and that's fine. But talking about faith in a theory and accusing people of not having faith because the accept the overwhelming evidence against it is just plain silly.
Borderline cult if you ask me.

OK, I think the thing that came out of this panel in regards to Indoc Theory is an increased sense of unity. Sure, we've lost some, but if they could be swayed by the intentionally vague stuff Bioware said, then honestly, we didn't need them. This is the Crucible for us, the thing that tests OUR resolve, the event that separates the Men from the Boys. Those of us who still believe, we will Hold the Line until the end. We will refuse to give up. And we will never lose faith until IT is confirmed, or it has been smashed into the dust. WE WILL HOLD THE LINE!!!!
We will FIGHT to the last man!
We have hope, and without hope, we have nothing.
Thanks mate. This is the spirit we need to persevere. Keep holding the line!

Because you can't tell me I have to wait until the summer. You can't.
YOU CAN'T.
I had a feeling the avatar would add a tone of solid seriousness to anything I said. Looks like I was right. Thanks.

The worst part? It's not gonna work. The Inception was about this from the start, Mass Effect wasn't. It would've worked as an ingenious twist, but as an ambigous ending? No, just no.schneeland wrote...
Agreed. While I truly hoped they would make IT canon (if anything than for its sheer elegance), they do not seem too commited to that idea. Rather, they still seem to be aiming at some inception-style ending.
I think the IT is still gonna be my headcanon for this, because with this I can't honestly see how the DLC will be anything other than utterly disappointing.

Yep, take the renegade choice "We were still on board" I think and then it's an interrupt

After the Geth Dreadnaught, you have to choose, "You're out of control." For dialogue instead of, "I agree."

An audience will clap and cheer for just about anything. For instance, music contest reality shows. After a horrid performance, the audience still claps and cheers like crazy ANYWAY.

Besides, it would be extremely bad marketing if they up and said it now when we are a few months away. As zaeed would say "That's goddamn suicide". Besides even if it wasn't IT I'll still wait and see if they can top it or do as well. Theres no penalty for it, no fee beyond some patience.

SHEP WAKES UP ON THE CITADEL (or so I'm guessing) since at the PAX panel they make a point of saying individual parts of the Citadel can seal themselves off. So I'm really doubting the DLC will have anything to do with the indoctrination theory.
Sadface.
parts of the arms can seal themselves. but shep was not near the arm he/she was at the top of the tower and there was nothing to seal
Shep is outside the station where the Crucible connects. It's upside down.
Regardless of how plausible it is for Shep to wake up on the Citadel, I'm really thinking that's what Bioware's going with. The DLC will show you getting rescued by the Alliance and going off to find the Normandy. If they tug at my heartstrings enough I might forgive them.
The indoctrination theory just makes so much thematic sense. I can't believe they ditched that (or the dark energy thing) for the synthetics-vs-organics crap. Sweet monkey Jesus.
