Very interesting. Looking forward to the content, not looking forward to the wait.

Think of it this way; the longer the wait, the better the content will be :)

I like this kind of optimism.  This is what kept me going in wait for the release of ME3 after it was pushed back.  And mostly, my wait was not in vain.  Till the last 10 mins of the game of course.  But, that being said, I prefer to remain cautiously optimistic with what they will release.

Anyone want a collectors edition of ME3 for 360? At this point I feel it's worth as much as a twice owned GBA game with a worse story now.
Maybe this DLC will redeem the game, but in my personal opinion at this point Bioware has sold out. How arrogant can you be to defend that ending at face value. It's like they didn't even play the game. Artistic integrity my ass.
I'm miss the old Bioware. Knights of the Old republic 1 which is a game I STILL play religiously because of that twist and story line. Absolutely amazing. MAss Effect 1 and 2 for really making me feel as if my choices as a player mattered. Amazing.
R.I.P Bioware...I'll be sure to leave a flower on your grave every march 6 until the day I die.

WAOH!

"The indoctrination theory illustrates again how committed the fanbase is"

The f****** "um" was added in!!!

They said "again" not "um" accordingto this. That changes things a bit?

It would change the tone completely. However, without a audio or video recording, it's impossible to say (and I don't see that on that page)

There actually was a video recording I think. If Im inaccurate though you can of course correct me. Is this what you refer to?

http://yfrog.com/0jm0vdz

That video is even more confusing.
Not because it is more vague or anything but because what incentive do Bioware have to not give closure? To have speculating over the ending (he seem to be talking about the post DLC one) serves no point? It's not a running franchise anymore like LOST was where the entire premise was fanspeculation. It's a done deal and why the ambiguity? To pretend you are Nolan or Lynch? Well guess what, you aren't and you never will be.

Did you even hear what they said? They CONFIRMED an extended ending with possible gameplay which they will work on til summer.. Stop your whining it's pathetic. ''Ooooh they sold out''.. really? Then why make FREE DLC just to please the fans? Not to mention Mass Effect 3 was brilliant except for the last 5 minutes.

My bottom line after today's non-news:

I don't really care if IT is what Bioware was planning or not. I just want an ending that is somewhat coherent and emotionally satisfying. So far, I can't think of really any way to do that without IT, but if Bioware can pull a Krogan out of hat and give us a decent ending without IT, I am totally cool with that.

Its a reference to Legend of Zelda. There is a monster called a Goriya in level 3 that blocks your way and says "Grumble, Grumble" and will not leave you alone until you feed it red meat. And that's the image of the meat from the game manual. Posted Image

Ah, the old days ... I remember that one :)

Ah, yes, "the old days."

The anti-IT trolls remind me of that Goriya.
At least someone else is old enough to remember the goold ol'days of 8bit games.
Now those were some endings...game ends...hard mode unlocked....repeat game with different dungeons.
Nothing like Mobius Strip endings....

I'll agree that ME3 was amazing up until the last 5-10 minutes.  My anger is stemmed from being disappointed by how they keep cryptically avoiding the question directed at the endings. Sell out was a bad word to use.  More like let down. Since I finished the game I was in uproar. Then this theory gave me hope. But they refuse to directly confirm this and it frustrates me. Im not excited for this DLC in summer because Im to pissed that they wont even address the real issues. I had a horrible day at work and was hoping to come home to a shred of good news, but all I got was the same sh*t we have had. So dissapointed. ;.;

I can't help but realize that a lot of these anti-IT people are two things.

1. Arrogant. "Oh you guys are just fooling yourselves. Maybe if you were actually like me and could just admit that BioWare screwed up, maybe then I'd give you a chance to speak."

2. Extremely rude. Just look at what some of them say, one guy compared us to down-syndrome people essentially.. classy. Not to mention the Intoxication theory people who seem to think they're funny.

I think someone said somewhere that Bioware was totally, legally capable of pulling and utilizing ideas made on its forums.

There's been coy nonconfirmation regarding IT. Other dlc has also been nonconfirmed only to be confirmed later. The ending was changed at the last second, which makes it reasonable to suppose that they made the current ending as a sort of stopgap while they work on the proper ending. EMS charts support destroy as the maximum work outcome, which in previous games was the method wherby you a) saved Wrex B) got Saren to cap himself, c) survive the Suicide Mission without casualties. Reasons for why they don't confirm IT should be obvious. Hype, suspense, speculation, anticipation.

Even if IT wasn't the original intent, Retake ME3 has won ground and we're getting DLC that's supposed to address the issue. IT is not only plausible, but possible. Hold the line!

Seriously mate, just wait and see.  Otherwise we are just gonna keep going round in circles about all this and nothing will change.  And you may just give yourself a migrane or something if you keep thinking asbout it.
Personally i knew they would not say anything about the endings since they dont want to spoil anything before they release it.  And if you read between the lines I think the IT is a part of the ending.  Especially with their wait and see comment.
Really is a game really worth getting so worked up about.

One bad ending (ME3), one horrible game (DA2), One horrible attempt at a game (SWTOR), partnership with rEApers, seems to me like they are selling out and forgetting the fans that made them great.

No. The "um" wasn't added at all. It's real: www.youtube.com/watch

But it doesn't matter anyway. The fact that they answered question about pople surviving the explosion of the Citadel at the end and how they put info into Codex on  purpouse explaining how survival is possible debunks the IT. The Citadel blow-up really happened.

Ok one more post because this was too funny...

I have a 5 year old son.

The following is an actual conversation we had not 3 minutes ago. I am not making this up. This JUST happened.

Me: Did Imtell you I finished off Mass Effect 3?
Son: What happened?
Me: it was rubbish.
Son: why?
Me: it was just silly
Son: Well... Was there a big monster?
Me: Nope. You know what you have to do at the end?
Son: ... A big fight?
Me: no, you go for a walk.
Son: ... What?
Me: You go for a walk and have a chat with a ghost
Son: *confused look* ...What?
Me: Yeah. That's what I said.
Son: (thinks for 5 seconds) Dad, that's silly. You can play Skylanders on my XBox instead, if you want. It has monsters
Me: Thanks buddy.

Just wanted to share that. I think it sums it up nicely.

Bye all.... B)

I'll second this.

At this stage as long as it is plot hole free, gives closure to trilogy and does'nt create more questions than it answers Im happy.

An epilogue would be nice too.

The god-kid also says that if you choose to destroy the reapers the geth and all synthetic life will also die, and he mentions that shepard is also part synthetic and should have died too. but instead we get a scene where we can see him breathing again in a destroyed london-like scenario

You know, you really do make me laugh.

Let's examine how many topics we have made on the boards absolutely FORCING our beliefs upon people and telling them what they should believe!!

Hmm... oh my.. I'm having a hard time remembering any of those.

As opposed to the number of topics created that proceed to tell us how delusional we are, MILLIONS of so called evidence to disprove us, nitpicking to try and crush us and just all around negativity towards us.

We ARE NOT FORCING ANYTHING ONTO ANYONE. Yet here you people are invading our topic determined to make us look bad for being arrogant yet there's a NEW TOPIC EVERY DAMN DAY trying to say we're essentially idiots.

You know what, get the f*ck on outta here. Ain't worth my time.
