I can't help but realize that a lot of these anti-IT people are two things.

1. Arrogant. "Oh you guys are just fooling yourselves. Maybe if you were actually like me and could just admit that BioWare screwed up, maybe then I'd give you a chance to speak."

2. Extremely rude. Just look at what some of them say, one guy compared us to down-syndrome people essentially.. classy. Not to mention the Intoxication theory people who seem to think they're funny.

I can't help but realize that a lot of these IT people are two things.

1. Arrogant. "The Indoctrination Theory HAS to be true because nothing else makes sense! It is the only explanation I will accept and anything else is false. There is no evidence to disprove or contradict the theory at all!"

2. Extremely rude. Just look at what some of them say, going so far as to talk down to one another as not being "true" believers or having enough faith.. classy. Not to mention the Intoxication theory people who are funny.

You know, you really do make me laugh.

Let's examine how many topics we have made on the boards absolutely FORCING our beliefs upon people and telling them what they should believe!!

Hmm... oh my.. I'm having a hard time remembering any of those.

As opposed to the number of topics created that proceed to tell us how delusional we are, MILLIONS of so called evidence to disprove us, nitpicking to try and crush us and just all around negativity towards us.

We ARE NOT FORCING ANYTHING ONTO ANYONE. Yet here you people are invading our topic determined to make us look bad for being arrogant yet there's a NEW TOPIC EVERY DAMN DAY trying to say we're essentially idiots.

You know what, get the f*ck on outta here. Ain't worth my time.

you are right, but dont feed the troll he just gets bigger ;)

Nah, don't wanna take up any more of the time you said I wasn't worth.

Besides, I think you'll definitely be needing them more than I will ;)

I mean, that's what you guys are good at finding, right? Evidence?

But it doesn't matter anyway. The fact that they answered question about pople surviving the explosion of the Citadel at the end and how they put info into Codex on  purpouse explaining how survival is possible debunks the IT. The Citadel blow-up really happened.

Just jumped in the thread and didn't see if anyone posted this already, apologies if it has, but I think this should be discussed.

BioWare was asked about the Indoctrination Theory at their panel at PAX and they did not comment, saying "we will let the content [Extended Cut] speak for itself."

http://www.g4tv.com/...ware-stays-mum/

Interesting....

WAOH!

"The indoctrination theory illustrates again how committed the fanbase is"

The f****** "um" was added in!!!

They said "again" not "um" accordingto this. That changes things a bit?

No. The "um" wasn't added at all. It's real: www.youtube.com/watch

But it doesn't matter anyway. The fact that they answered question about pople surviving the explosion of the Citadel at the end and how they put info into Codex on  purpouse explaining how survival is possible debunks the IT. The Citadel blow-up really happened.

Considering that Shep wasn't even on a wing of the citadel, no it doesn't. he was outside, on top of the presidium tower. The explanation they gave is good for explaining how others, like Aria or Bailey could survive since they are in the wings of the citadel

The statement about people surviving the citadel proves nothing. Only that people can survive the Citadel. That they do, or who, is not explained.

And how does it change the fact that they didn't plan the explosion of the Citadel to be hallucination?

Ok one more post because this was too funny...

I have a 5 year old son.

The following is an actual conversation we had not 3 minutes ago. I am not making this up. This JUST happened.

Me: Did Imtell you I finished off Mass Effect 3?
Son: What happened?
Me: it was rubbish.
Son: why?
Me: it was just silly
Son: Well... Was there a big monster?
Me: Nope. You know what you have to do at the end?
Son: ... A big fight?
Me: no, you go for a walk.
Son: ... What?
Me: You go for a walk and have a chat with a ghost
Son: *confused look* ...What?
Me: Yeah. That's what I said.
Son: (thinks for 5 seconds) Dad, that's silly. You can play Skylanders on my XBox instead, if you want. It has monsters
Me: Thanks buddy.

Just wanted to share that. I think it sums it up nicely.

Bye all.... B)

Thanks for this, made me smile. :D

Okay, and how does it change the fact that Shepard survived an uncontrolled reentry into the Earth's atmosphere when he's not anywhere near a sealed room?

Have to wait and see how the ending DLC explains it.

Citadel also blows up in green ending where you don't get a Shepard breathes scene.

Goes both ways here.

Is IT true? Maybe, maybe not. Speculate all you want. I don't think any reasonable person claims the theory to be fact and is the end all be all. Hell, Bioware can be clever and have every ending be true to your playthrough. If you chose green it really happened, you had synthesis occur and boom everyone and their hat (Seriously, Joker's hat becomes synthetic too) is one big happy hybrid thing. if you chose red you could be fighting indoctrination. If you chose blue you could control the reapers to rebuild the relays and such. All of them are true and all of them can have viable explanations that come about due to the new ending dlc

If that's not clear I could expound upon it if you'd like.

I agree.

Also, while I want IT to be the answer, the mere fact that there is more is a victory. It will, hopefully, at the very least sort out the major questions with the ending, whatever it contains.

And that's the other thing. The debate has changed, at least a little. We now know that there IS an answer. We ARE going to get more. What that more will contain is up for debate, but it's existence no longer is.

Also, and at the risk of troll feeding: there are jackasses on both sides. Those of us who aren't jackasses....which I hope includes myself....can combat both of them by not feeding trolls, even if we agree with what they're saying.

We have until "summer" to wait, so let's see if we can't stay civil until then. We're doing good so far, let's keep it up people.

Anyone want a collectors edition of ME3 for 360? At this point I feel it's worth as much as a twice owned GBA game with a worse story now.
Maybe this DLC will redeem the game, but in my personal opinion at this point Bioware has sold out. How arrogant can you be to defend that ending at face value. It's like they didn't even play the game. Artistic integrity my ass.
I'm miss the old Bioware. Knights of the Old republic 1 which is a game I STILL play religiously because of that twist and story line. Absolutely amazing. MAss Effect 1 and 2 for really making me feel as if my choices as a player mattered. Amazing.
R.I.P Bioware...I'll be sure to leave a flower on your grave every march 6 until the day I die.

Yes, because one bad ending on an otherwize outstanding game killed off an amazing company. -_-'

One bad ending (ME3), one horrible game (DA2), One horrible attempt at a game (SWTOR), partnership with rEApers, seems to me like they are selling out and forgetting the fans that made them great.

I actually enjoyed DA2 and swtor is pretty decent I think.

Had a similar conversation with my friend's son.  I told him the ending was either a lie or space magic.
He told me all magic is a lie and mirrors.  :wizard: indeed.

And? What does it have to do with anything? The fact is, they clearly meant the Citadel blow up scene as real, in each ending. If they didn't, they would've said so.

Would they? Why would they 'confirm' that much without confirming or denying other questions?
That's even assuming they really were confirming it. Read it again, without reading into it. All they say is a possibility. No answers stated or implied.

That you get a completely different ending despite the citadel blowing up the same way. Seriously, I'm saying wait to see how the ending dlc plays out. if IT is real for red, great. If not, oh well we get clarification and that's what most important

You seem rather hostile to the thought that all endings can be different, but play out in different ways.

Im indifferent towards the whole IT myself but the whole them not commenting on it today leads me to believe something is up with it at least in part. If the direction they were going was completely in a different direction it makes no sense to me why they wouldnt say no that didnt happen. I was one who thought it was never in the plans for the record

I think at this point the IT crowd is not arguing whether it was the original intent or not, but rather that it be made canon now.
