Honestly im getting the feeling they are going to make it so all of the endings are right, blue you control the reapers for real, green you synthesize the whole and red you break out of indoctrination. There will be no "wrong" ending. Each extension will have its own cut scenes differences but the point will be, if you chose red then the whole thing was a dream/hallucination , if you choose the other two then it was all actually happening. Get what im saying? All endings would be canon. Now how they would implement that in the next game, i am at a loss. Does this make sense or am i crazy for interpreting what they are saying as such??

P.s. What this would do is create more "speculation" and people would be arguing and discussing which ending was the REAL true ending, but the point would be that none of them are true because ALL of them are true.

GET THE HELL OUT OF MY BRAIN, MAN

I agree with your post. And I love the picture btw. Use to watch that movie all the time.

Anyways the more I think about it. The more it seem like they are going to make all three cannon like these two been saying. Though we shall find out once summer rolls around.

It turned out that the fans gave them the 3 folders with feedback in them. THAT was funny. My inital thought that BioWare would do that is what I found less funny and in bad taste. Glad I was wrong this time!

I know video games are not real and aren't important, but they are something to enjoy. I put effort into a game and I expect to feel rewarded for my effort. I want to feel like I've made a dfference (even if I hadn't) because obviously in the real world I'm not a Commander of a spaceship and I can't fly around doing stuff.

I don't want to feel like everything I've done counts for nothing. I don't want to feel like I've wasted my life (as ironic as it may be, what with me playing a game).

That's it exactly.

I am the only one who hasn't felt like playing videogames since the ending of ME3? I really can't bring myself to play anything, I didn't think I could be this depressed at the end of a game.

Instead I've spent the last week researching clues on the indoctrination theory and other explanations. If this was a ploy to get us to play MP, they're doing it wrong.

There is no incentive for me to play multiplayer. Why would I? I've bought ME1, 2 and 3 for the ability to make choices. ME3 ending invalidates what I've done and multiplayer has almost no influence on anything.

And I don't like multiplayer anyway. I always seem to end up in games with some anrgy swearing child :S

Glad, it ain't just me.

Off topic a moment, but does anyone know if Quarians have cybernetic implants?
Mass effect on twitter is not replying :S
There seems to be hints in the game, but I dunno.

I felt like that for a few days. Almost a week. A lot of that was because I got so into the story the end was...jarring. But I'm doing better now. Picked up a second play through to show my little brother (he watched me play one and two, we decided we had to.) Then I played KoToR, came to appreciate the multiplayer on ME3....and I've been thinking of taking another whack at Skyrim. So there is light at the end of the tunnel friends.

Edit, spelling. I should put that in my signature....

from the Patrik Weeks interview thread, post by Mike Gamble

Is your question about whether or not we are going to retcon the catalyst? The answer is no. We've already said we are not changing the endings, but again - there are many things that we *can* do without changing them.

A lot of folks had questions that we want to answer for them - but just like any piece of content, we are not going to outline the specifics before release.

things you can do, like using the IT. Very happy with that post. Hope for the IT remains with me.

Exactly. I get enough reaper control in my RL. I don't need to spend time and $ on entertainment that, in the end, seems to reinforce an 'abandon all hope' narrative.

I know how you guys feel. I only played multiplayer the last 2 weeks so I could promote my characters and get more war assets. But since the Extended Cut announcement...I still believe in IT but it was so depressing to see how many people in this thread lost their hope only a few minutes after the announcement.

It´s so hard to wait until summer. And even if we get all the answers with the DLC it still might be complete bull**** taking the current ending at face value.

Just asking...Do you guys think we´ll get some information about the Extended Cut later this month or before it´s finished?

So here's this tweet, not much but it's how I see the endings as well.

https://twitter.com/...115049267310592

I've said it several times. They can easily make every endings a "Real ending" I.e. if you choose detroy it's an indoctrination attempt that you break and cinematics can show it. If you chose Green that means synthesis really did happen. and cinematics can explain it. if you chose blue you DO control the reapers and send them off to do whatever. Cinematics show it.

All of them become real endings for your play through. Choosing one would not invalidate the others. this would also go on to show how none would be "canon endings" since they are ALL canon endings.

This is what I want them to do. Very elegant in my opinion.

I doubt they'll say anything else about the extended cut. If it is IT, they want to keep quiet. If they've realled f**ked up, they'll not want to say much more because they're just digging themselves deeper.

Best case scenario: they keep quiet and then it all turns out it was indoctrination and we were all fooled or whatever. They've planned stuff from the start which they missed out the game so they could fully complete it. When they release the DLC it doesn't just clarify but adds onto the ending and everything becomes clear.

Worst case: They actually don't have a clue what they were doing, all the plot holes and rushed things in ME3 were down to the fact that they don't really care and there was no content planned. Come the summer we get a 5 minute clipshow that doesn't explain anything and actually just makes more plotholes, meaning the original idea of thinking everyone starved on earth/died when the relays exploded made more sense.

If you make one of the endings (Destroy) an IT ending, then nobody is going to believe the other two endings are "real."

My plan was to move onto AC:Rev after ME3 but, as I say, I'm just too depressed about games right now.

That said, I do love Assassin's Creed as well. I played through AC1, AC2 and AC:Bro'hood last year for the first time.

There wouldn't be much speculation, I don't think. The vast majority of people would just say "I guess I'm picking Destroy from now on."

But the thing would be that Bioware would never confirm or deny which one is cannon and so it would be up to the pleayers to decide which is the right one and if they choose IT then so be it. At the end of it all they would be able to figure out for sure how many people liked the IT and by popularity it would be made cannon? Like many have said before....... "Im just speculating here". ;)

I guess you´re right. But even if it turns out IT wasn´t intended by Bioware...They´re going to have a hard time explaining why the hell all the clues were in the game, why they kept telling us to believe in IT and why they literally lied to us before ME3 was released (rachni extremely important, no ABC-ending...)

No offence, but have I said something wrong when I mentioned Quarian synthetic augmentation lol? No reply on twitter or here :(
The only links on google I found was people speculating about it, nothing definite.
