Here's what actually happened. Biwoware had the same endings planned but with a lot more variations. It got leaked and they scrambled to change it up as much as they could, hence all of the plot holes. The holes are there because they were meant to explain endings they couldn't add to the game.

They had a plan for Shepard being indoctrinated, however, the player would have known it was going on. They scrapped it because it wouldn't fit right with the story and because it was too difficult to implement the controls and the scenes of Shepard being taken over.

IT is way too large to explain in an extended cut that may not even offer much gameplay. Not to mention the theory has numerous holes that have been exposed.

They scrapped the part where you lose control of Shepard. And they never mentioned anything about the actual indoctrination.

Well if you lose control of Shepard, doesn't that imply that he was indoctrinated, since that is a major symptom of it? You see yourself doing things without knowing why and can't control it?

I've also posted a couple of videos point out some flaws but they generally get ignored. I find that even stranger. Here they are again:

Let me also be clear that I like the theory but a lot of things don't add up and it's not very likely. I also don't dig the near religious tone of most of the "believers" of the theory. It's a bit unsettling.

Indoctrination isn't necessarily doing stuff you didn't want to. When it gets to that stage I think that the subject has to be controlled by the reaper and can't do anything for themselves. At earlier stages, the subject just starts to do stuff that benefits the reapers. The subject makes choices willingly. For example, if Shepard is being indoctrinated at the ending, you can choose control which means you've succame to indoctrination and are doing what the reapers want.


And thanks for the vids I've gtg now but I'll check them out!

The Prima guide, which was written with BW's help, indicates that the original options were "become a Reaper" "destroy the Reapers" and that "get a lobotomy that synthesis nonsense".

Nonsense. GBGriffin made far more sense than EpyonX3. EpyonX3 just comes around, dismisses everything that goes against his view as Recycled Assets™ and then proclaims Shepard is on the Citadel because he saw a wire that looks like rebar using flycam. Which couldn't possibly be recycled assets even though it's used in 65 out of 50 zones.

Plus Bioware, unlike many IT opponents who've never even googled the phrase, know that post traumatic stress disorder has more symptoms than nightmares. One of the chief symptoms is desperately wanting to avoid similar situations. That's why Kelly Chambers won't come back to the Normandy and why the asari in counseling doesn't want to be around humans. Speaking of which, the dialogue files even refer to her councilor as "cit_ptsd_doctor". So I ask the "Shepard just has PTSD" believers this: when has Shepard ever shied away from Reapers?

You used a cam to run around in spots we're not supposed to see to try and prove a point. Hardly a good way to disprove anything.

Anyway, another thought came to me last night. If BioWare said that there would be additional gameplay, that would give away that it was IT. Because how else would there be gameplay?

If BioWare said they had this planned from the start, it would be obvious it's IT. So imo they're obviously going to lie about that stuff, they want to keep people guessing. They're well aware IT is out there and I feel like they're protecting it now.

Just my two cents.

At first I was thinking that Boware likes us cause we weren't raging as hard about the ending, but know it's like theyre saying "Shut up! You're going to ruin the surprise!"

Well Jennifer Hale was interviewed on Wednesday and the OFFICIAL anouncement of the DLC came out on Thursday so they may just not have contacted them yet.

Mike Gamble already answered on twitter that they simply haven't contacted voice actors yet.

If it was intended they would already have VA stuff done, especially since Martin Sheen had to come back to do dialogue as late as Nov last year.

I do think they will run with IT.... But they didn't plan IT.
