All this said, in dragon age you can use the evil way with Morrigan to survive the nasty dragon light beam at the end (THAT was a nice boss fight ). Now for mass effect ending, WHERE is Morigan when you need her ??

You know, one thing I've come to think of, is that Bioware should just make all the endings true. Red = IT is true. Blue = Shepard ascending and controlling the Reapers, at least temporarily, and risking a new cycle beginning. Green = ...massive dna rape of the galaxy?
It could all somehow fit together, or it doesn't have to. Everyone gets what they want, and we go back to the old school days of RPGs where we have our "wildly divergent endings..."

Also shameless off topic bumb of my own question, but has anyone here read Naomi Norvicks Temeraire series? Just curious.

Yes I have. They are excellent books. For those unaware, it's the napoleanic wars if they were fought using dragons. Fun stuff. The latest one took place in Australia, where it turns out they have dragons that come at you OUT OF THE GROUND.

Back on topic, I just woke up from a weird dream and realized I'm checking my dreams every morning for similar logical inconsistencies to the ones in Indoc......

To elaborate, if that godchild is a being of light, then it was referred to earlier in the series. It's just a pity it's much much more obscure than indoctrination, has less evidence and even fewer people would have heard about it.

If every tweet comes true, then it's going to be a very strange ending.

Nice to see someone else who knows it, don't seem to bec a lot around, at least not where I live. Hope Peter Jackson makes a movie or tv series out of the books as he has considered, he even has the rights to make it at the moment.

Actually the next book is out, Crucible of Gold, takes place in south America primarily with a new spin on society with dragon in the form of the Incan empire (yeah it still exists due to the dragons there...won't say much would be spoiling) In general though Naomis take on how the world might have changed with the inclusion of dragons are some of the best parts of the books.

Funny I am also checking my dreams and though I have not had anything remotely similar to the ending...yet.

You know if these beings of light are the race that made the reapers, the reapers could BE beings of light as well. Just a thought.

To me it's just a really cheap explanation. Like, "no, this is not Space Magic. Actually they are BEINGS OF LIGHT. So deep."

Or probably:

Space Brat = EA controlling BW
Reapers = Bioware harvesting Players and their money
Shepard = Indoctrination device to indoctrinate Players

Man, Harbinger is the worst shot ever.

I emptied all the thermal clips from my shotgun, pistol, and SMG right into him and he just keeps lasering random spots on the ground.

I spent the past minute spamming pull at him.

He keeps shooting the ground.

It must have insulted his family or something.

"Hey, Harbinber! Yeah, this is the ground, man! Remember me? I slept with your mom, man! And your brother, Soveriegn? Man, what a ****! Dude went out like a punk!"

Yknow, in-between random bouts of shooting the ground, he's getting off 100% accurate shots on the rest of Hammer team charging the beam. None of this 'Hit the ground ahead of them and slowly move the laser towards them' nonsense. He hits them dead on and vaporizes them.

So its not like firing so many shots is hurting his accuracy...

Yep, IT holds up once again. He just wants to knock you out or hurt you.

Actually, just duked it out with the Reaper on Rannoch, and I can say with a certainty, Reapers happen to be excellent shots, whom btw, nail you in one blow.

Yes I died more times than I care to admit, Don't give me a hard time.

Okay. I'm gonna put my two cents in again against both the "IT is fake 'cus troll troll troll" folk and the "IT is the truth whatever the truth is and anyone who disagrees is a troll" crowds.

Civility, folks? A little keeping calm and carrying on maybe? We'll know in summer. No need to act like a bunch of lunatics over this.

o.k. point taken, but really, this thread hasn't been this calm since the day we spent three pages talking about pizza. But calls for civil behavior are always welcome.

I assert that sausage with peperoni and canadian bacon is the finest pizza to be found.

You know I am a huge fan of the anime Gurren Lagann, it is awesome and completely outrageous with some insane scenarios which you simply come to accept as the show goes along simply nodding with the equally ludicrous explanations in complete understanding.

My point here is that a show which literally has two mechs the size of galaxies ducking it out as part of the ending still made more sense than the Mass Effect 3 ending in my eyes.

Also shameless off topic bumb of my own question, but has anyone here read Naomi Norvicks Temeraire series? Just curious.

Yeah, it made sense there because the series basically told you the whole time "this should make no sense", it was internally consistent, Mass Effect spent 3 games telling us how science could resurrect the dead, manipulate gravity and make the Normandy unnoticeable, hence why SPAAAACE MAAAGIC!!! pisses us off so much.

Don't get me wrong, I think IT is a good and easy way to explain the endings. Nonetheless the more people from BioWare talk about the endings, the more I think there is something we will never understand about them, and this could be a good thing in a twisted way.

As I said before, if they really wanted "speculations from everyone" they should not offer clarification and closure so easily. My wild guess is they did not expect such a backlash from the endings and intended to clarify them only later in an Arrival like DLC.

On a side note, should IT be proven wrong (hard to tell right now), I don't think we will ever know for sure what happened on the Citadel after the "white-light elevator" scene.

Edit - on the beings of light, at this point any guess is good about what the Catalyst really is, anyway, I think the "beings of light" concept could be a good point to start a new trilogy.

A being of light? There's more?
...
*grabs shotgun*  Looks like we're going ancient-evil-that-looks-like-a-kid hunting.

And now, something from the random banter section:
EDI: Your turn. Councilor Tevos.
Joker: Hot, but points off for attitude.
EDI: Sha'ira the Consort.
Joker: Uh, hot, I guess. Can we stop this? You're creeping me out.
EDI: Dalatrass Linron.
Joker: Eww!

The sad thing about it is.... cause of godlike Space Kid.... now Space Kid is the "hero" who allows Shep to "rescue" the galaxy ...
