1) On destroy: True, the fundamental process seems unlikely. I'll concede that. Still, not sure how else to explain the destruction of *all* synthetic life (again, this is taking the endings at near face value.) A super virus of some kind.

2)On synthesis: Exactly. The husk process is another good example of nanite induced synthesis. The difference here is that you're organic components wouldn't be replaced with machinery. Rather, you would achieve a true organic-synthetic hybrid and not a combiantion that doesn't destroy the identity of your species. It bolsters life and doesn't supplant it

Hmm. Well I still don't really think it could be called synthesis. It's just a more advanced version of putting a pacemaker in someone. Though I want to emphasize that's not a criticism on your theory. It's the only one besides IT, which completely disregards synthesis rather than trying to explain it, that hasn't made me bleed out of the ears. So kudos on being the only person I've seen attempt to justify synthesis and not wind up writing the literary and scientific equivalent of drinking a cup of gasoline. :)

Hahaha now there's a good analogy.  And don't worry, I donn't take offense to meaningful, thought out critiques.  This idea makes sense to me and I figured as long as someone didn't catch me making a huge plot hole, such as my synthesis take somehow spawning a darkspawn horde to consume all organic and synthetic life, then I'll stick with it and be happy.  If I can help feed everyone's proper ending hunger until that unannounced day in the summer, all the better.

I have to admit, when I arrived at what I thought synthesis actually was, I couldn't help but think of JC Denton. Any fans of the original Deus Ex out there? =)

OK, a guy named Brazukka messaged me to have me post this on the thread.  Here's what he said.

" Ok man,i can't post in the IT Thread - http://social.biowar...ex/9727423/1385 -because i don't have my ME3 registred in this account,so i'm asking you a favor
I found this on Mass effect wikiaZha'til The zha'til were a synthetic race that existed at the time of the Protheans. They originated when a race known as the zha implanted themselves with symbiotic AI technology to enhance their intelligence in order to survive as their homeworld became inhospitable. When the Reapers arrived, they subjugated the AIs, known as zha'til, who then seized control of the bodies of their masters and altered their genetic material at the deepest level, transforming the zha into synthetic monsters and their offspring into slaves. The zha'til proceeded to multiply into "mechanical swarms" that "blotted out the sky". With no other recourse, the Protheans sent the star of the zha's home system into supernova, destroying the zha'til entirely.
As far as i comprehended, the Zha were turned into synthetic-Organic Life form just as the synthesis end did with the rest of the galaxyIf you read all and get the some conclusions that i got, please post thatPS:Sorry for my bad english / wrong spelling"

What do you think?

P.S. Lex0r11, please, FIND THAT PICTURE with Jessica as Ash.

P.S. Dwailing,

I fear i might give you some kind of seizure if i continue to post more of these motivationals.

Anyone have a decent explansion how Jessica Merizans tweet about the catalyst being a 'being of light' and implications that has for the IT theory?

Im a big supporter of the IT theory. Maybe Merizans just speculating herself.

She's just speculating, BOL theory doesn't hold very much water.

The beings of light description from whatever planet they're on says they are meant to protect organics from machine devils.

The catalyst controls the machine devils and sends them to kill us.

I never understood why people put so much stock in the beings of light thing.

If we based all of IT on a single planet description, and had no other supporting stuff at all, absolutely everyone would laugh at us, but no one laughs at the BOL people

Well, that crazy Volus mentioned on the discription of that one planet talked about how he saw "beings of light" that he should help to destroy the "machine devils" or something like that.  I think that maybe Jessica is saying that we shouldn't trust Star-Brat.  You know, since the Star-Brat, the "being of light", is telling us how to stop the Reapers.  My guess is that the Volus was indoc'd, and that would mean that the "being of light" shouldn't be trusted.

Edit: And yes, I understand that Star-Brat says that he controls the Reapers.  I'm thinking that it was just a different method of manipulation.

By the way, whatever happened to our favorite trolls? We haven't seen Waldstr18 or GBGriffin in a while. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just wondering.
