OT: Was it ever explained why Legion was the Geth that the Reapers were using to broadcast their signal? I was never clear on that.

I'm afraid that's correct. I believed in it at its inception (no pun intended) because I felt, as many of you still clearly feel, that it was the only thing that could possibly make sense of everything when, in fact, my own personal belief is that not everything has to mean something beyond face value. 

There is no universal law, imo, that dictates that everything must make sense and, furthermore, the idea that they made a mistake just makes sense, but, then again, I'm sure my histroy with BioWare isn't that extensive by comparison.

So, yes, I still believe that the cutscenes will either show there is no indoctrination at best or leave it just as open as it already is (as in, still no ending) at worst.

Either way, I'm fine waiting until the EC comes out (I might even try some insanity runs!)

Oh, I've had my less than polite moments in related threads, but, again, I know they'll do more damage than harm in this particular one, and I don't want that.


In ME3, that is my class as well. I'm currently starting back in ME1, though, as I have never done hardcore or insanity before. I'm thinking of trying Adept in 1, Solider (or Infiltrator with the Widow in NG+) in 2, and then my Infiltrator in 3.

Even though I always play ultimate Paragon, I may attempt one of the "worst possible playthrough" runs of 2 just for kicks. If I know I'm doing it for a laugh, then hopefully my conscience won't kick in over killing everyone on purpose

Yeah, you must be right.  Also, it's a very convenient way for Shepard to meet up with Legion.
