There's really only so much you can say about the IT, whether it's 'IT is wrong/right' or 'IT prob isn't true'.

As far as the 3200+ page one, it grew initially cause that's where everyone went to, until basically the ENTIRE story-campaign discussion forum became that thread.

I know you may not want to touch this, but why do you think they have refused to confirm or deny the IT? Is it purely PR at work? I understand you wouldnt know the true answer just wondering if you may have some insight for a better perspective. Thanks in advance. :)

I have no answers for that sorry.  After my retinal scan to enter the building, I am taken by armed escort to my padded room with an uplink to remotely access my workstuff where the door is locked with one guard remaining inside, one guard remaining outside.  A nutrient rich sludge is periodically fed to me through an IV to help maintain a peak level of awareness, with a touch of endorphins to ensure I am in a pleasantly content state.  Any cross talking with ME teams would result in time in "the hole" which is quite similar except the walls are not padded, and I am denied nutient rich sludge.

I can't live without the nutrient rich sludge so I have to stay in the dark like you guys.... :(

You might just be my favorite mod yet.:) If you happen to catch someone's
ear over there, let them know that using the IT, or parts of it for the
extended edition would be welcomed.

So same deal as before, the bioware fans are tearing out each others throats over theories and speculations as if they just watched Pluto Nash remade at the box office in 3D. Fan-freaking-tastic.

Been checking out other threads and my god we can be an rather venomous bunch. I'm amazed we can be so behaved at events like PAX. In either case hopefully people have a good night's rest. Incidentally I vote for 3561 being the numebr we hit by extended endings release.

I really was going to, until you called me a mod!  I'm technically not a mod haha.

For what it's worth, most people on the DA team that I've discussed the ME3 ending to are aware of the Indoctrination Theory.  I think it's safe to say the entire ME team knows about it.  Whether or not they do anything based on it is entirely up to them, and for us to find out when it's released haha.

Speaking of Dragon Age, am I the only one who was half expecting to find a broodmother in Tuchanka's City of the Ancients? ... No really, does the Deep Roads know about its long lost sibling?

There's a video where somebody did the flycam thing and looked all around the apparatus that Shepard shoots, and part of it does indeed look like concrete or a concrete-like substance. And there are grooves in the substance, which look like the grooves you can see in some of the prominent chunks in the Shep Breathes video. And did you notice that some of those chunks look like cut stone? With perpendicular flat planes? Not random rubble from a blown up street.

As for how Shepard can survive/breathe "in space." The Citadel is capable of generating force fields.

That thing you're identifying as "rebar" does not look like the rebar that appears elsewhere in the game. It looks virtually identical to the Citadel cables.

I know you guys don't want to hear it, but I'm telling you, that scene is on the Citadel. Doesn't mean you have to abandon the indoctrination angle entirely. I haven't. I still think indoctrination plays heavily into the end sequence.

People keep citing those cables as proof (I've also seen that video) that its on the citadel, because you only see them on the Citadel, i guess. The problem is those cables are seen thoughout the game. They're in the caves in the rachni mission, legion is hooked up to a bunch of them in the geth dreadnought and I'm pretty sure I've seen them in other places (maybe on sanctuary? probably in Ardat Yakshi temple). Those are reaper cables directly associated with reaper control or indoctrination (Rachni and Legion, just for starters) and in the breath scene it is conspicously shown heading directly towards (maybe into?) shepard.

Furthermore, the ones on top of the destroy choice at the end (nitpicking a little: I don't think look the same anyway) can only be seen with that fly cam. It's not much of a nod to the player that you woke up next to the rubble of the destroy tank on the citadel if you can't see it in game.

And you hear wind in the breath scene --> on Earth!

I think I lost count how many times I had to point that out only in this thread.

Not sure it counts as new (1400 pages!) but I pointed out the cable seen in the "breath" scene emanating from Shepard is associated with indoctrination as both Legion and the Rachni queen are hooked up to them when you find them.

Yes it's old, and in fact not relevant.
I dont think we should consider any asset re-use as a hint or proof. In a videogame, asset re-use is mainly a technical constraint, so we cant assume it means anything here, be it pro IDT or anti-IDT.

I disagree about it being asset re-use. It's the most conspicous thing in the breath scene besides the N7 tag. The only other times you see it (granted its still often) is in association with reaper tech, and it's also most conspicously present when major characters are being controlled (legion, rachni queen).

I know! I still can't wrap my head around it. I mean.. if the ending was at least decent, ME would just be completely badass. But now there's this gaping hole. Sure, the rest is still good, but I DO believe that in a way, an ending can completely ruin the fun. What's the point in ME1 or 2 now if you know that everything is pointless.

This is really how I feel.

Can't decide if genophage is the right choice? Doesn't matter, Wrex will never see Tuchanka again.

 Hawk227:

Actually the cables (if it is that) in the breath scene are clearly not reaper tech. The reaper cables have slightly different coloration and the pattern on them is circular with equal spacing between the circles. The cable in the breath scene however has a spiral design running along it.

Still I don't think it is cable at all, but a piece of metal. I argue this because the "cable" seems completely rigid in the scene and not like something supposed to bend. In fact I will g o check those metal spikes that is used to reinforce concrete to see if there is any connection.

Edit: Rebars (as I just found out the metal in concrete is called) defienetly has a spiral pattern on it, but can't be sure if it's the same without a picture to picture comparison, something I find incredibly difficult to set up on my iPad. Can someone else do this so we can get a final answer on the "cable."

Even better do it with three pictures, one of Rebar's, one of reaper cables and one of the actual cable in the breath scene.

In advance thanks if someone does this.

Speaking of asset reuse, has anyone found that strange electrical warning label near the vent with teab--err, task manager in it? The one with a lightning bolt at somebody's head. If that's unique to that spot, and it seems to be, that's major.

Yeah, that one is weird.

I noticed that some warning labels throughout the game are UPSIDE DOWN.

Which is probably just due to someone incredibly sloppy in the team.

Yeah but if there's only one warning label in the entire game that looks like it's a brain damage warning, and it's next to the vent the kid was in, that's major evidence.  A vent shouldn't have a warning label in the first place because how the hell do you electrify a vent, but if it's unique to that spot then we can rule out model recycle.  Which means the developers intentionally placed a "mind/brain damage" warning next to Harby's apparition.

And after that, the kid can be seen at least twice next to Danger- or Caution-signs.
