There's been a bit of discussion about whether Shepard is on the Citadel at the end, or whether s/he was on the Citadel and fell to earth or whether they never left earth.

I've drew a quick comic that should hopefully explain what I think. I'm an IT supporter and I believe Shepard is on Earth,  but I think I've made it as POV neutral as possible (lol....). It's the destruction ending with high EMS so Shep is alive at the end.

3 Options:
On citadel, fall to earth
On Citadel as it explodes
On earth from the begining

The boy in the vent? Have you seen electrified WHOLE ventilations? Only cover is electric. And that cover must had been open. Boy can't open that big vent. And Caution and Danger? LSD is hell of a thing. Assumptions based on delusions.

I know what you mean. Liara seems cool and everything, but as a friend lol. I suppose it's because everyone can have babies with her (man or woman, human or other) and she's an alien.

Glad I'm not the only one...her awesome not-LI "goodbye" scene at the end of ME3 cemented that I like her way more as not my LI.

LOL, loved the comic, especially the little drawing of Harbinger. Sadly, your comic has more personality for Harbinger than the actual game did.

Lol thanks everyone.

But yeah, I really can't understand how Shepard could survive a laser, being shot with no shields, an explosion and then another explosion.
I know it's been said that the Citadel can create emercency forcefields or something and keep an atmosphere, but I think that it would be difficult to do when it's exploding into tiny pieces.
Maybe on the control ending, when the CItadel closes, but you don't get the breath scene there.

The only other explanation is that Shepard lands on one of the arms of the Citadel, which may remain mostly intact. But then you have the issue of falling from that height/speed. If Shep fell any slower, then s/he'd be exposed to the vacuum of space for a long time. Any faster and s/he'd become a small bloody crater. But disregarding all that, what are the chances of Shepard hitting one of the intact Citadel arms and not, for example, being catapulted out into deep space?

If I would get the breath scene after choosing control... that would be even more Space Magic ^^.. Enchantment ? ^^

Has anyone seen that one anywhere else in the game? I've been looking all over for it, seen the other labels dozens of times but not that one.

That is one of my favorite little indoctrination "hints". It basically says "Something is trying to get into your head!". Even if if ended up being scrapped from their end game, indoctrination MUST have been the point somewhere in the development cycle. Whether it ended up being scrapped or not we will find out.

Since no one remembers that image being anywhere else in the game, anyone with the PC version gone and looked for that image on disc? We already found that the ending's were color coded, maybe the file name will be a hint? (Wishful thinking I know, like an indoctrination warning label, but hey)

I think that is part of the texture itself.

I've already checked in game files, if I remember correcly the warning sign is in one of the prologue package (file "BIO_pro_something) and has its own asset, I believe it was simply named "warning" or something similar. I will check again tonight after work.

Does anyone remember talking to one of the C-Sec officers on the citadel, talking about the duct rat kids? Didn't he say that a lot of them die in the ventilation shafts from fans, etc? I know it's not electricity... but a generalized "danger" would be completely normal

Thanks for the answer. To bad no news. He did have a really cool name tag thingy though. I wonder if we could create an official - unofficial ME3 Indoc Theory banner to put on all of our name tags?

Correct. It's a warning sign meaning there is a risk of being hurt in the vent, so don't go in it. Vents are generally dangerous, espcially since you don't know where they could lead. Also, I don't see the uses of having the actuall vent electrified all the way to the entrance. It's perfectly fine that the child is in there.

If that is the case, Shepard should have none that the vent was an electric death trap and would have known something was up with that.

There's a video where somebody did the flycam thing and looked all around the apparatus that Shepard shoots, and part of it does indeed look like concrete or a concrete-like substance. And there are grooves in the substance, which look like the grooves you can see in some of the prominent chunks in the Shep Breathes video. And did you notice that some of those chunks look like cut stone? With perpendicular flat planes? Not random rubble from a blown up street.

As for how Shepard can survive/breathe "in space." The Citadel is capable of generating force fields.

That thing you're identifying as "rebar" does not look like the rebar that appears elsewhere in the game. It looks virtually identical to the Citadel cables.

I know you guys don't want to hear it, but I'm telling you, that scene is on the Citadel. Doesn't mean you have to abandon the indoctrination angle entirely. I haven't. I still think indoctrination plays heavily into the end sequence.

People keep citing those cables as proof (I've also seen that video) that its on the citadel, because you only see them on the Citadel, i guess. The problem is those cables are seen thoughout the game. They're in the caves in the rachni mission, legion is hooked up to a bunch of them in the geth dreadnought and I'm pretty sure I've seen them in other places (maybe on sanctuary? probably in Ardat Yakshi temple). Those are reaper cables directly associated with reaper control or indoctrination (Rachni and Legion, just for starters) and in the breath scene it is conspicously shown heading directly towards (maybe into?) shepard.

Furthermore, the ones on top of the destroy choice at the end (nitpicking a little: I don't think look the same anyway) can only be seen with that fly cam. It's not much of a nod to the player that you woke up next to the rubble of the destroy tank on the citadel if you can't see it in game.

And you hear wind in the breath scene --> on Earth!

I think I lost count how many times I had to point that out only in this thread.

I'm not convinced it's "wind."

Yup. And it also says that the vent Starkid is hanging out in is VERY DANGEROUS. How you surviving that, kid? Oh right. You're not a kid. You're effin' Harbinger. LOL....it's funny how much people complain that Harbinger isn't in the game very much..... It's kind of obvious that it's Harbinger. Totally trolling Shepard.
