Because BW is lazy. That is the anti-IT answer for everything. Why did Shepard get TIM eyes in control/synth? Because BW is lazy. Why doesn't anyone else ever seem to see the kid? Because BW is lazy. What's that alarming odor coming from the stove? Because BW is lazy.
bioware was SOOOO lazy they put extra work into changing the tones of the music depending on the ending you choose? (read is somewhere...)
if you start walking toward control the music is sinister
