I just don't get what BioWare was trying to do with that scene (IDT...obviously...but other than this...).  I mean, you shoot the Citadel, it BLOWS UP AROUND YOU, it's very clear that the explosion happens like a foot in front of you.

If IDT is false and everything happens as is, I just don't get how you survive the explosion (then of course re-entry to Earth or surviving in space on a blown up Citadel).

BW is lazy...lol...(see above if you don't get what I'm saying).

It's as if someone who only heard about the games designed the ending.
"In ME2, Shepard survived a giant laser, getting exposed to a vacuum and re entry into a planet. I've not played the game, but that must be his super power, right? It's all explained in game!"

Shepard died in ME2, during the prologue...  He/she did not survive a planetary re-entry.

Why does the colour drain from the picture if you turn around before the automatic door in the Citadel corridor with all the corpses?

Now. I 'd like to see that, do you have a good video link?

I didn't get a reply a while ago, but I asked whether the brightness of the screen changes when Shep looks at other stuff? Like, if I made Shep look at a bright light and then I look away does the screen brightness change? I know it does on some other games (Half Life 2 episode something I think?) but I dunno if it does here. If so then it could be explained as Bioware being lazy on that scene and coding it wrong. A bit far fetched but....lol

Hi. I can't post in the forums, but I still try to read everything. Including twitter and Indoc. T. theme. But I haven't seen that anybody said one thing - according to Jessica Merizan, EDI and geth don't die in destruction ending. Also this is the only ending, where Shepard lives and Reapers are destroyed. So... Doesn't it mean, that other endings are.. unnessecary? It is too obvious to see, and I don't think that Bioware could do something like that. Sorry for possible mistakes. Will be happy if you post this in Indoc. T. thread.

@ElricCrafter
We simply don´t know what is the "right" ending. It was already implied that the relays do not get destroyed in the Control ending (only disabled) and that no one starves to death. So it´s "Wait and see" at this point until we get further info.

If they take the most advanced race and take the form they harvest then why are they in the form of fish and instects? Surely the reaper's were hopping about with a bug net and fishing rods while speeching " We are your salvation

The literally ran everyone's lives & made many their choices for them. Those that resisted were lobotomized.

It was a really good comic.

The Red Son Superman believed in Control.

I think you mean, "believed in the Qun" and "created a Qunari paradise". Anyway, I never actually read it, just heard paraphrasing. Apparently bad paraphrasing if that's how it went down. Though, a well treated slave is still a slave. So I think he still fits firmly in the "villain" category.

Unrelated: Still love the cuddlefish motivational.

Is the comic in your link your own creation? If so, it is the funnist thing I read in a while.

Also the breath scene, (from IGN, I know ...ign..) but can you see it now matter the ending on your second playthrough (if you have enough of EMS)?

Yeah thanks lol :)

And you can see the ending now if you choose control or synthesis, do you mean?
Then the endings are DEFINITLY false now, because in control/synthesis you burn up, and in control the citadel doesn't explode.
Unless I've misunderstaood what you said, then if so, exone ignore me :P

I can't find the link in Ign. I looked at
http://www.ign.com/w...ffect-3/Endings and i couldn't find it.

What I was tring to get at was - In New Game Plus, if you have 4000 or more EMS, and if you choose
control or synthesis or destory, would you still get the breathe scene?

The lighting issue is due to the fact that looking "forward" you get a lens flare effect from the blueish white lights smearing over part of the overall image, in graduate "foggy" intensity depending on the distance from the "white flare". It becomes more transparent the further from the lens flare you look. Looking backwards you just don't have any of those lights, so no "lens flare fog".

Really? So all the other places they use lens flare (and there are a few) that don't have the same problem are wrong then? This is the only place in the entire game it happens, and it's not just a "error" it's a gradual desaturation that slowly drains the color from the screen.

Actually, there are 2 explosions, of different "nature" in the end cutscene. The first "blast" is a slow growing ball of "space magic" that "pushes" dirt and small bits and pieces around, with apparently no heat in the process. This ball engulfs the whole Earth, eventually it passes around soldiers down in London without "burning" them, provided you have high enough EMS. If not, then this first blast gives the "vaporize" cutscene, where Earth is destroyed by this 1st blast. The real, regular "high heat" explosion happen after the "beam" has been sent to the Charon relay.

That is not what we see from the video.

There are lots of different "lens flare" effects throughout the game. Solar lens flare are seen against an "environment map", which is not affected by any lighting in the player's environment. Those are relatively dim lights, in a dark hallway, so you would have to compare the scene with something similar, and even then you would still need an editor to see what kind of lighting was applied. IT has better evidence than this.

I've cracked the Mass Effect Code!!!

If you take every entry from the Mass Effect Codex, sort in alphabetical and line up the text in a rectangular grid then look at only every 10th letter you get the following:

The Shepard will be tested by his foes

To destroy is the only hope

Trust Bioware

Don’t forget to drink your Ovaltine

You lot do realise that I was talking about how odd the ending is and that the ending seems as if it was made by someone who hasn't played the game. I.e. someone who only heard that Shepard fell into a planet at the start of ME2 and so didn't realise that Shepard needed to be rebuilt. And then, using little bits of info they heard from people who heard from people who watched their brother play ME2 and ME1, they made the ending of ME3.

So to sum up, it wasn't a real quote lol, it was a joke.

Funny thing is, that they also got dissambled then :P cause they explode in the videos.. but also if you believe the tweets.. EDI has no Reaper tech.. even it is stated otherwise in ME 2 :D

I'm becoming bored with all this stuff. IT is great but Bioware pulled it awfully. They should have included it after the Catalyst scene, not force us to wait for months to get "clarification". I've already waited for 2 years for ME3 and now I have to wait again.

There would be no point in it if it was in the vanilla game.  The entire point of it was to make us think it was real.  To indoctrinate the player as well as Shepard.  For that, we needed to think the game was really over.  That said, waiting until SUMMER is way the hell too long.

So, at what point exactly did Shepard lose contact with "reality"? Or : did he lose all contact with it, to the same amount all the way until he "breathes", or did he manage to do some "actions" after being zapped by Harby, seeing a "distorted reality" imposed to him by indoctrination?
