They gave us ME1 and then an even more amazing ME2. They even gave us a FemShep trailer. I am not giving up on Bioware...not just yet. I will look at their reputation in making ME and try to believe that there is something...I might be wrong, but I will try to believe them for a little longer. ..

But yes, if they did all this on purpose, I am forever their customer. And I mean it.

Here's harbinger, it's the same as the one that land in the Earth.

You know, if Shepard had been wearing Colossus X heavy armor, we wouldn't need the crucible.

The entire ending made little sense, from when the explosion hits to the end of the game the entire thing feels so out of place. It feels just as wrong as the dream sequences, you just feel that it's not real or tangible.

Top that off with the fact that the end then shows Ashley getting off the ship with Joker.... when she was behind me when I was knocked out by the blast? Did the Scotish Engineer beam her up to the Normandy?

Whole thing was rubish.

This is my theory after finishing the game as a Paragon Shep
and choosing to destroy all synthetic
life(I don't think this is the best ending the other 2 are much better and I
think that TIM was actually the paragon ending) and getting the brief clip of
the N7 chest armor and it moving like someone is breathing.

As soon as shep arrived on the citadel he blacked out and
him waking up is a dream or a vision so fore then on it wasn't real. AS he was
also meant to die choosing this option as the "star child" motioned he/she
is also partially synthetic , as for the N7 armor and the breathing I think was
a Hint at DLC and the Real Ending. Also that armor couldn't be there the
citadel gets blown away but the blast of the catalyst

My thoughts exactly. If this all ends up being true, best ending in gaming history. If not, it's the worst.

I just checked on the PC and after completing a run through I have a new save game called LegendSave.pcsav.  I don't have a similar save for the other character I only played several hours on.  So maybe this LegendSave is what a DLC would use?

The timestamp on my LegendSave.pcsav file is three hours before I beat the game. It appears to be the save file the game uses to return you to the point before attacking Cerberus after the credit.

The only file with a timestamp matching when I finished the game is NewGamePlusSave.pcsav.

So the NewGamePlusSave could be used?  I did all 3 endings and only have 1 file by that name.  Do you have different timestamps on it depending on how long it took to beat?  What if you did all three endings and checked what the elapsed time for each was?  If it only matched the destroy ending than maybe that is some sort of conformation?

I suppose it's possible. Rhana Thanopsis (spelling?) was apparently indoctrinated ever since ME1 and didn't exhibit any real signs of it until the bit where she dies in ME3. That's almost a three year gap.

I still don't think it's likely however.

Does anybody know where I can get one of those signature pics of Retake Mass Effect 3?  If I had one with "American Fleet", that would be great.

One thing I missed from the ending were some Geth Collosus kicking some ass like the one on Haelstrom, or the ones in the original run for the conduit. Geth should play a bigger role in the intergalactic fight on London.

I find hallucination/dream theories to be two things:

I. Fans trying to explain away a disappointing story, with hopes that it had a deeper meaning than it actually did. Or the hope that the real story will be told at a later time.

II. A terrible plot device. Even if people really think this is a viable theory (and it turned out to be true), it would be one of the worst writing decisions in game history. Okay, maybe that is overstating it. But how awful would it be, to with hold the ending from everyone, and give them a dream sequence instead.

Either way, I think it's wishful thinking.

You can just right click/copy image mine - assuming it shows up - and paste it into your sig. That's usually what I do and I haven't had any issues thus far.

So, moral of the day: "don't watch the Matrix or you will get indoctrinated"? :P

No, I'd say the moral of the day is that people who write 'savior' stories feel compelled to indulge in biblical parallelisms----and although there are ways of doing this well, it can very easily degenerate into banal nonsense. And besides: Superheroes and soldiers shouldn't really be playing Jesus; I mean......we've had a kung-fu fighting Jesus, a badass spacemarine Jesus, and even Batman taking a Jesus-like stance at the end of Arkham City.

How about some mere mortals saving other mere mortals?

We just can't forget that you only get the "Shepherd wakes up on Earth" ending if you hold your resolve and destroy the reapers.

If some little kid is like "Hey! Grab this electricity to save everyone!" or "Hey! Jump into this giant laser and every single oranism in the galaxy gets circuit board skin!"
I'm just going to not do either of those thing s and shoot this thing right here, because it seems like you don't want me to.

You don't want it as well because EDI DIES. Just as geth do. Your life or their ones...oh and mass relays are doomed.

My reasoning is still that the destroy option is the only one that actually removes the influence of the reapers from the galaxy, and the only one that lets the galaxy create its own future again. The other two are just replacing one form of control with another. Killing the geth and EDI is a price I'd rather not pay, but sometimes you just can't save everybody (a major theme in the game, btw).

Can't people just make another EDI and make the geths again anyways? I mean, it might sound mean, but it's not like they are humans and once they die they are gone forever...especially for the geths, who think of themselves as one single "person".
I would rather sacrificy AIs and VIs than let the reapers (who have killed everyone you care about) live.

Then again, why are we even listening to a little ghost kid who claims to be the catalyst? I would rather listen to Admiral Hackette and Anderson than the little kid, ngl. That kid was too creepy.:pinched:

Definitely noticed this as well.  It was mentioned a few (actually more than a few) pages back so I reloaded my save and yep - certainly sounds a tad Harby'ish.  Good catch through.

I'm inclined towards indoctrination - and even if it isn't all a dream/hallucination/indoctrination, drawing from parts of these would suffice as well.

The Rachni were nowhere to be seen either, other than helping with the crucible...but considering that they were a fairly advanced, space-faring civilization...and the fact that we technically saved them *TWICE*, you'd think we would have seen them play a much larger role.

Which goes to say that no ending will please everyone. But at the very least, the indoctrination ending would mean more than the current one.

Nevermind.  I just checked my times and the file corresponds to the last playthrough completed.  I did destroy first and synthesis last.  Probably just overwrites the file each time you complete the game.

they could release a DLC that involves Shepard gowing 300 feet tall, and having Harbinger as an LI and it would still be better that the turd of an ending we were given

Could this whole situation be why(I think Chris) said we should play the game fresh first , then import and play-through again because this true ending might be revealed.
