That.  Was.  AWESOME!!!  Did he make a reference to IT?  'Cause I think he said something about the Reapers will not control Shepard's mind.

Yeah, pretty sic. It's on the level.

*only shakes head desperatly* somhow I think Waldstr. is resistant to anything reasonable....
I think it would be best for you and for the guys here when you leave and stop posting here.. so you don't have to be annoyed about stupid, still in IDT believing people and we don't have to be annoyed about beeing called idiots and fanatics.. that are to dumb to see there can't be IDT...

Uh, so do you agree with IT or not?  It almost sounds like you might be getting skeptical.  Don't give up.  Hold the Line!  For Marauder Shields and Jessica Merizan!

Two wrongs don't make a right. How about you make your own thread about something you think is wrong about IT and we can debate there.:wizard:;)

dont you think there would be a lot of threads then, which could all be combined in here? also i would feel quite self involved making such a thread. no one would post, cause who cares about the indoctrination theory anymore except you guys?

the hypocrisy i dont understand. the thing with the 50 clues in the game and the being stupid for not recognizing them has actually been said in here. so what so hypocritical about that? does it matter where it has been posted?

This is a huge thread that has more views per page than the "we can't get the ending..." When you say "you guys" you're talking to a fairly large ****** of the fanbase of the fan base. If you look at all the surveys you see that I.T. is preffered to a face value ending. Indoct theory is even on the mass effect reddit quite frequently.

I still would be really pleased when IDT is true and believe in it ^^ cause for me it is the only possible way to keep the endings and fill a lot of plot wholes =).

Yeah, the Mass Effect: Deception opposition thread was closed once it was this size.  I don't think it even reached over a thousand pages before being shut down.  It has been a while, though, and my memory isn't perfect.

do you think Bioware should listen to fans about the indoctrination theory if they haven't or previously intended the ending to be about indoctrination?

I think there is enough evidence or good reason why the indoctrination theory could work in their favor. It makes the most sense and can easily fix a lot of plotholes!

This is a terrible idea.  It’s clearly little more than a fan-fiction attempt to cope with ME3’s disappointing ending.
Its proponents sound like religious fanatics or conspiracy buffs: holding up plot holes, inconsistencies and minute details as ‘evidence’ that BioWare was planning this all along.  They completely ignore the fact that this idea comes with its own set of plot holes and inconsistencies.
In reality this is just a weak attempt to smooth out the plot holes, inconsistencies and illogical nonsense of the ME3’s current ending  in the vain hope that ‘it was all just a bad dream’ and ‘the REAL ending is coming in a DLC’.
The worst thing about it though, is that it validates the existing bad ending while completely ignoring what actually makes bad in first place:
  • Shepard’s mission still ultimately fails.
  • Shepard’s decisions still don’t matter.
  • The illusion of choice is still shattered.
  • Mass Effect's greatest strength is still lost: Indoctrination theory doesn’t make players want to replay the game anymore than the current ending does.
I sincerely, hope that BioWare doesn’t cave to a bad idea that could make the ending even worse.
The dropped ‘Dark Energy Plot’ has far more promise for improving the ending than ‘indoctrination theory’ does and it requires only the smallest changes to the existing ending.  I’ve posted details on my BioWare social network blog:
 http://social.biowar...entry_id=212578
The idea was largely inspired by this article:

One of the guys from the Dragon Age team a Mister... Schumacher, I think, popped by.  That's what gave us the sticker.

Thought it might have been him, been doing some forum splurging of late.

Did he say anything interesting? Is he on board with Indoc? Or is he a GBGriffin?

idt is an easy way out, but not the thing i have a problem with. the thing i dont believe is that bioware planned it from the start or at all for that matter. i also find it unlikely for them to use the indoctrination theory. but who know, maybe they will and maybe they are even going to say the planned it. i still wouldnt believe it then, but i would have to take the gloating from the fanatic guys all the same.

He approves of IT, but he didn't have any secret Bioware information he could disclose as he is part of a different team.

Well, for having seen how many pages were not really on topic but mostly about "trolling", I'm not sure that the total number of pages of a thred is representative of any big or bigger part of the "fanbase".

The problem I have with IT theory been thrown around without proper arguments to support its many facets makes me think some of its tenants do not care to defend it properly, and are taking the stance it is "firmly established" as an argument against its weakest components. Last time I poked around here, people were debating with arguments based or reasonably extrapolated from game content. I hope it's still possible.
