well sorry and yes, there is a lot of evidence. But.. they basically stated that the ending will not be changed or altered in any way, just expanded, and that they like the current "artistic vision". Really, I want to believe, but I just can't any longer. And if they planned it, why wouldn't it be finished yet?

Here's one thing that has bugged me. Mass Effect has been planned by Bioware as a trilogy, a fact confirmed hundreds of times. But you have to believe with all the hype and $$ this installment was generating, that EA went to Bioware and said "Hey guys....think you could milk out another one?" 

Now you can say Bioware held to their convictions and said "No", or you can use it as a lens to look at the true ending IT believers think is coming. 

Fact: Bioware included an epilogue at the end of the credits
Fact: In it you witness Buzz Aldrin telling the story of Mass Effect 3 (Possibly 1 and 2 also).
Fact: The epilogue fades away with the promise of "one more story...."

Now, if you look at that scene logically, any pre ending DLC can not be considered "one more story", because the Stargazer would have told the story in chronological order. So Take Back Omega (and others) would have happened before the ending, and after the credits you STILL would have him promising "one more story". So the only conclusion I can see drawn from that is there is post ending content involving Shepard, and since you have to have that content even if the player "killed" Shepard by choosing Synthesis or Control, Shepard could not have actually died. And if Shepard can't be killed in any of the endings, even those that see him charred before your eyes......well, you know what thread you are in.


And I can't stress this enough, but IT operates under the assumption that Bioware acted logically. That it would be impossible for them to see so many inconsistancies with the end and be OK with it. So operating under that assumption, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth. If Bioware didn't act logically,then there really is no point to ANY of "The Speculations!", because none of us would know what ground is sturdy enough to stand on.

On a side note, I'm having humongous trouble with my 3rd playthrough, it's like an emotional rollercoaster O.o

Knee's timeline of...things:

1st playthrough: "omg this game is awesome, I'm hyped as heck"
Ending comes: "umm...?"

- Finds indoc theory, has an epiphany

2nd playthrough: "Omg this game is awesome, I can't believe I missed all these little clues"
Ending comes: "ha! You can't fool me, kid", feels like a winner

- PAX and Bioware's DLC announcement. Serious doubts creep into the mind

3rd playthough: "Omg this game is awesome...but what if the theory is wrong..no, it has to be correct!..but what if it's not"
Ending is most likely not coming..

Hype. Pride. They have nothing to show because it's not done? (ME4) They have nothing to show because nothing exists? Take your pick.

If I was in charge of Bioware though....would I announce ME4 as a press release years before it comes out, or surprise EVERYONE by saying nothing and then whipping out an amazing Clint Mansell scored trailer in front of a packed house at E3?
