Why would you be banned for that?  I think she would take it as a compliment, not a "personal attack".

No, i mean for picture spamming. :D

I'd really like to know why people don't think BioWare had this planned.. QA is being done already. Which means they already had at least some things ready, there's NO way you can do even just cinematics in like 5 days since the announcement. Certainly wouldn't be in the QA stage if they were just starting it.

I'm convinced they had this planned, and who knows, it may have been scheduled for a later date but they had to rush to finish it because of this backlash.

Another point I keep bringing up, but that needs to be mentioned:

Bioware knew the ending would generate speculation, discussion and that it would be polarizing.  They knew it from day one and get this - they wanted it.  ME3 has gotten more attention than any other game.  Maybe they don't like some of the hate mail they're getting, but press is good.  People who normally wouldn't check out ME3 probably did just to see what the fuss was.

I think it is possible that they had ending DLC planned from day one, but that they weren't set of all the specifics.  Due to backlash they decided to move things forward at a quicker pace than planned.

You make a good point.  This is quite possibly the most well known thing in gaming right now.  I mean, this controversy has been in FORBES for crying out loud!

This whole thing was deliberate.  They knew the ending would be polarizing, etc.
So based on that you can look at it a couple ways:

1)       They planned to end the discussion by releasing “something” to clarify the ending
    a.       DLC
    b.      A press release

2)      They planned to let the discussion continue until people give up in frustration.

3)      They were never going to clarify anything.  But they didn’t expect the discussion & backlash to get so heated and now they’re back-peddling.

Which of those seems most likely given the track record of Bioware?

Seriously, what happens more in the entertainment industry?  Rushed products or carefully and meticolously planned future content releases?

Good, maybe she will stop stating everything like it is complete fact....

OI!  Don't talk that way about my woman! :)

Sorry but she frustrates me, "OHH about my earlier comment that i said like it was a difinitive statement? Yeah i said that as more of a MAYBE or why couldnt it be perfectly REASONABLE for it to maybe possibly happen in the confines of the mass effect universe, maybe some day eventually? I say these things just to watch you squirm because after all, everyone here at bioware needs mass effect fan boy tears to survive!! *teehee* *winkie face*". Honestly i see it as this; we have already been fed a load of crap from most of the main people at bioware, what makes her any different? Also most people dont know that she is stating her opinion on the matter when she says these things and they take it as "insider mass effect info".

I'm replaying me2 now and just had a chat with legion. in my opinion, the following conversation is another reason not to trus star brat.

Shepard: "are the reapers a threat to you too?"
Legion: "yes"
S: "but why would they attack other synthetics"
L: "we are different from them OUTSIDE OF THEIR PLANS"

since the starchild tells you, that his solution is to save organics by harvesting them, so synthetics do not wipe out all organics (wow...it's actually even more stupid, once you have to write it down yourself

But why don't they just either confirm or deny it? What do they have to lose?

On a side note, I'm having humongous trouble with my 3rd playthrough, it's like an emotional rollercoaster O.o

Knee's timeline of...things:

1st playthrough: "omg this game is awesome, I'm hyped as heck"
Ending comes: "umm...?"

- Finds indoc theory, has an epiphany

2nd playthrough: "Omg this game is awesome, I can't believe I missed all these little clues"
Ending comes: "ha! You can't fool me, kid", feels like a winner

- PAX and Bioware's DLC announcement. Serious doubts creep into the mind

3rd playthough: "Omg this game is awesome...but what if the theory is wrong..no, it has to be correct!..but what if it's not"
Ending is most likely not coming..

Geez...

Don't give up!  Hold the Line!  For Marauder Shields and Jessica Merizan!

No no, I'm not giving up per se, but it's getting tougher and tougher. I mean, the indoc theory gave me a whole new perspective and I totally enjoyed my 2nd play with that in mind. But this third, after all the bashing from anti-IT (I do not understand their motives, tbh) and Bio's refusal to even comment on it, it's eating away my mood. Like I said, it's like a rollercoaster. You enjoy the game, but after a while the thought of IT not being true kills the mood. If the ending is supposed to be as it is, and indoc is false, what would be the point to play the game again..

...sorry i hit submit by accident....

And the geth say they are outside of the reapers plans. it implies that geth are different from those killing machines, the reapers believe them to be. hope i can get my point across.

I think it ties to #3 more, but whatever.  I was just being cynical.  Even though I'm a believer/lover of IDT, I can't remain optimistic of it much longer.

To number 3# ...They did expect it THAT is why they wanted "Speculations from Everone" -Bioware

They WERE planning somthing else, they also took out the prothean stuff of ME3 and released it as DLC for an unknown reason. I think it was to pay for the free one that the fans did not know about yet.

Seen it.

Heard about it.

There was also a poll, but I haven't seen the statistical analysis to backup their findings.  (Variance rates, etc.)

Also, that's EA which isn't Bioware.  (Yes, Bioware is owned by EA.)

'the hell?  Was that seriously about this thread?  There was no attack intended in any of that, we simply said people are taking her comments as more than (I believe) she intends them because she speaks for the company.  And her gender wasn't brought up as derogatory in the least ("stupid girl"?!), we were just telling our fellow posters to stop thinking with the wrong head.

I really hope that's about another thread in the nuclear wastelands that is the ME3 forums, but if it's not then it's another example of how easily things can be misinterpreted over text.

Alright, this is probably explained in this thread somewhere, but bear with this old Finn for a sec...

About them tweets..

Someone said (Gamble?) that the ending DLC was not planned and that they did not know it was needed. Uhuh, okay. Well, what in god's name was the tweets immediately after the game's launch? You know, the ones of "hardest day ever", "only if you knew", keep your saves/game", "when more people have played we talk" ?

And why did they suddenly stop and turn into vague...things? And what's with the one tweet of DLC testing? And that the voice actors have not been contacted? Couple of months is an awfully short time to make a full DLC from scratch, is it not?

I know, this may be grasping some serious straws, so I'll stop and let this be my last post here. I can't even play the game anymore (nor can I start any other game, either), I'm just too exhausted over all this..

They are trying to explain a bad joke. They thought it was easy enough to understand giving fans a crummy azz EA open ending for everyone to be satisfied.

Trying to explain a bad joke doesn't change the fact is still a bad joke.

If what your trying to convey is so vague that most dont get it.... then the idea you were trying to convey was bad to begin with.

I have been a long time lurker to this thread but have not posted often (or at all I don't recall), mainly because I read on my phone.

However several people have asked if someone could put together a comprehensive list of all the clues that have been brought to light so far.

I have taken it upon myself to undertake that task. My plan is for it to be an extremely thorough reference source for all elements of both the Indoctrination Theory and it's criticisms. Along with all the clues and related information from comments made by Bioware. It will source all it's information and include many images and links to related materials.

It probably will not be finished today but it is already well underway.

Just wanted to give people a heads up and something to look forward to. I should have the first version complete tomorrow and intend to keep it up to date and revised as need be.

Thanks and Hold the Line :)

I have almost compled the first draft of this. It's stands at about 4,000 words so far :)

Currently it is written on my personal blog, but I want people's opinions on where I should post it? Should I leave it there and link it here and maybe in a new thread?

Or should I reformat it into it's own thread on this board?

Also who would be willing to be to preview it for feedback and error checking?

Thanks!
