Here's another 'speculative' tweet from Mike Gamble from NOW-11h:

"BSN is getting bigger! Stay Tuned in the next few days for more info..."

Yeah, it's getting bigger because everyone is posting just how unbelievably bad is the ending. Good job.

GAMBLE!  JUST TELL US WHAT THE ENDINGS ARE ALREADY!!!!!

I just realized.

It's like Christmas. No matter how much you whined, cried, ****ed, or whatever tantums you threw as a child, your parents STILL didn't ruin the suprise of what your Christmas presents were. (or at least mine didn't)

We weren't given a sock full of cat turds and told "merry Christmas" before hand this is nowhere near as awesome as Christmas.

Oh boo ****ing hoo. People say gamers are entitled ****s, it's **** like THIS that leads them to say that.

You got an EXCELLENT AAA title game that was near GODLY for 99% of it. And THEN they give you A FREE FIX that YOU asked for and are getting ONCE AGAIN FOR FREE, ON THE COMPANY'S DOLLAR, because they happen to GIVE A ****.

Stupid, whiny hyperboles like that are just so. UGH!

EDIT: Apologies, whining like this just sets me off, RIGHT away.

Lol, I hear you, I really do.

It bothers me too. Especially when you have to watch to make sure you're not outright insulting them to risk a ban. You're among good company here.

Just... don't venture out, a lot of the other IT topics are full of fools... where's Wrex when you need him.

Thanks guys. Whole thing is just frustrating, and not because of Bioware.

The real problem Bioware had? They made their plans in a vacuum without figuring one perpetually unknown quality.

Idiots.

I agree with the movement that says "Hey we're not satisfied and we want what we were promised" at least they're polite. No it's these jagoffs who merely want to be angry at Bioware and refuse to listen to anything to the contrary so they can savor their fury. That's only gonna make you unhappy in the end guys!

But yeah, still standing firm. Still say, no this wasn't planned for, at least not in the immediate, but perhaps the long run. You gotta give SOME kind of statement to make a sequel after all. Indoc theory is true as far as I am concerned, something in the vein of "Was Deckard a Replicant?" was what they were shooting for, but they ended up forgetting how some people could take it. Which is to say, badly.

I'm not arguing with most of your points - however, I'd still say, the reapers could have gone more of their previous route, probably relying more on indoctrination to weaken our defenses.

Also: are we really sure dead humans help? In ME2 it seemed more like liquefaction was used only on living humans. And I'm inclined not to trust the things we see post Harbinger-beam too much.

When you get turned into paste, alive or dead you end up the same.

The guys in the collector base turned to paste, end up dead. I imagine they just need us to not dicompose. That easily done with their weird hive like places. I bet they got some paste to keep people from dicomposing.

Paste regardless was what it was used for reaper formation. Humans is just the latest. Turians, asari, elcor. They've all landed within reaper "processing facilities". Is not called harvesting for some and not others.

I doubt they'd be able to indoctrinate too much in places of power without people knowing. The main differnce is, we knew about indoctrination and those getting near such tech were already regarded with skepticism. High echelons of itelligence services aren't stupid. Even if a maniac (shepard) says something, they will take steps just in case.

The Batarians failed because they were isolated, they didn't care nor believed what shepard said. Denial is the reapers greatest weapon.

Does someone know if the Collector Assaulft Rifle made it into Mass Effect 3 or at least the Multiplayer? Because a comment says at 3:02 you can see the Collector Rifle if you´re fast enough. And indeed, it´s there. Since the rumours about "The Truth" said that Collectors as new enemies will be part of it, I just wanted to ask.

We have already got some characters that have been "announced" and part of the Truth was the IT.

The Collector Assault Rifle was a bonus if you pre ordered the special edition of the Art of the Mass Effect Universe, so yep, it's there.

One; the Collector Assault Rifle IS in the game, it is a piece of promotional DLC available with various physical ME products. It is only in multiplayer.

Two; IT was never part of "The Truth" rumor, merely that your choice in the end mattered.

Three; The Truth has been debunked as a troll.

Four; Collectors ARE mentioned in ME3, and I highly doubt that we have seen the last of them, more than likely, they will make a return in the Omega DLC if my guess is right.

I agree on the first part - paste is paste ;) ... and you are probably not very likely to come alive again after you have been transformed. Probably my speculation on the paste-production is just a little different - I always assumed that the subject had to be living, at least in a way similar to a brain-dead (but otherweise largely intact) person kept "alive" by medical machinery.

Regarding the impossibility of indoctrination - while recon might be a little more active, I had the impression there was still a lot of denial at the beginning of ME3. But then, maybe the reapers just didn't expect too much resistance, and thus considered slower strategies to victory a waste of energy and time.

@macgummi i think if you buy some ME3 razor gaming products you can get a code and for each additional code it upgrades the gun by 1 so you need to buy 10 of them to get a fully upgraded rifle

I figure since the Salarians have shorter lifespans, they probably evolved faster. They were likely non-sapient when the Protheans were around, so wouldnt have recorded the prothean encounters or anything.

Javik seems surprised that the Salarians are a spacefaring species, but doesnt seem too surprised that turians, asari, humans, or quarians are.

Edit: I'm not exactly an evolutionary biologist or anything though, so I may be full of crap

Since someone else is likely to point it out, I figure I will first: The actual content of the Truth was never debunked, just the name. I personally figure it was all made up, but figured I'd at least point that out before someone else does.

Also, are the Collectors ever mentioned anywhere other than the codex? Because I know the codex mentions the Reapers used Collector swarms in the Miracle of Palaven entry, but I dont recall them being mentioned anywhere else. (Other than in the past tense, referring to the Suicide Mission, but I dont really count that)

The name was debunked, and I pesonally debunked the content. The Multiplayer content was from a seperate leak where a person posted comments about things he accidentally acquired while on a developer server. He posted a picture and several comments on Facebook via Reddit, That was the 13th of March. The next day, the same picture (you can even see the guy's facebook comments below it) was attached to text detailing a so called DLC on 4chan.

Personally, I beleive the theory was right, the script leak caused them to change things (notice how they had next to no reaction to the actual endings being leaked?) but no, "The Truth" itself is not true.

And yes, those two mentions of Collectors in the codex are what I was talking about.

Politicians were in denial.

Some of the STG took it to heart. They have pull. Specters heeded our advice. They got pull.

The Previous shadbow broker knew. Regardless of his agenda he had pull.

Anderson, Hacket. Matriarch friends. Rachni agents. friends of Shiala. Most Krogan or at least those in power.

At large the population might have been oblivious. Politicians by default are in denial. Military intelligence officers weren't. That much we know. And that is who you need to indoctrinate.
