@schneeland..well, he's n7. Soldier as far as i know. which means he had extensive weapons training in all weapons classes. But i guess this is already too much speculation.

Just because you're N7 doesnt mean you wouldnt have certain weapons you'd favor.

My Shepard is N7 and her favored weapon is Nova ;)

Kai Leng was N7 and all he ever uses in the game is a sword.

Can I just say how much the role swords play in ME3 pisses me off?

I think indoctrination has great merit, but I have trouble understanding the consequence of choosing “Destroy”.

-Would this just allow Shepard to avoid indoctrination and he/she is still required to defeat the Reapers.
-That an actual decision to “Destroy” has been made thus defeating the Reapers.
-Or does another event transpire.

Thanks for any feedback.

The standard version of the theory is that the Destroy decision is purely symbolic, signifying the rejection of indoctrination.  Shepard wakes up in a pile of rubble on Earth.  The Reapers are still about, and the Crucible has not been activated.

I think that version is wrong.

Thank you for your quick and courteous response clennon8.

That is what is hard for me to understand, if the decision is purely symbolic then the entire purpose of the game has not been met (that of defeating the Reapers).

@Skillz:
Well, theoretically yes, practically he has been busy sitting behind a desk and making important decisions. I had the impression that Anderson really jumping right into the fray is about as likely as my manager actually starting to write source code.

Yeah, that's why i added "soldier". shepard handles all weapons if you pick the soldier class. and as far as i know anderson is just a soldier. no biotics or anything. doesn't really matter anyways. just thought it was suspicious, is all.

But he was kicking ass as a soldier. Well, in the first book at least.

Which makes you wonder how good he really is ... I mean, bringing a knife to a gun fight isn't necessarily the most clever strategy ;)

On a side note: I think Vanguard should be declared illegal or at least a mute-only class ;)

Fully upgrade biotic charge and get 100% barrier restore at rank 6, get power recharge at rank 5 of Nova and pierce at rank 6 of nova.

Use light weapons so you have +200% cooldowns.

Charge/Nova spam.

Its incredible :D

You don't want your manager coding... TRUST me.  I'm lucky our flagship product is C#, and my higher ups are all Java (snicker).

I guess, I'm a hopeless case - I somehow always end up with soldier and infiltrator, other classes just don't work that well for me (a squad made with pull/singularity is helpful, thought). I cannot tell the exact reason - I'm slightly troubled by biotics in general, but probably it's just that I prefer the plain old "bullet in the head" way of dealing with enemies.

Fortunately, the risk is low - both of my managers never did any real coding. The downside of this is that one of them has this "why wasn't this feature completed yesterday" attitude. But I guess you just can't have everything.

There are only three things that I shoot at in single player: Harvesters, Atlases, and Banshees. Harvesters because they're usually on some ledge where I cant charge them, and banshees and atlases have those troublesome instant kills.

Luckily my Wraith makes short work of them.

Basically the same in multiplayer only I dont have 200% recharge when I equip a Wraith, so I just use an Avenger and Plasma SMG, and that makes me sad.

You definitely should. You know, the ending of that one is actually good ;)

I also just started up ME1 again, first, just to see how it looks with graphics maxed, but then I somehow got sucked in and now I may do NG+ with my soldier for a while.
