However, as a last statement for today: it's incredibly how vast the Citadel feels in ME1. The controls are actually a bit clumsier than I remembered, but the rest of the game is still amazing.

I feel like if anything, Biowares Mass Effect team has been tremendously focused on their core fanbase, and only care enough about the story for new players to get them through single player without a total wtf expression the whole time

I did another ME2 run and just completed the Arrival DLC.
Because of this I watched the video of the bad ME2: Arrival ending (when you let the timer run out):
www.youtube.com/watch
I just noticed that when Harbinger is floating in the Citadel, he shoots more yellow colored beams (might be because of the applied filters in that sequence) which seems for me to come from his "eyes" and not red ones from under his body.
Anyways, I wonder why BioWare didn't make something similar to this as the ultimate bad ending (which kills you, your people and let the reapers continue the cycle).
Also, there is one scene in which you and all your squadmates including TIM are seen with Harbinger on Illium.
Could this be a hint to an upcoming DLC ?
I can't really believe they put all these things into a cutscene (that most people would probably never see) for nothing.
This is slow-dowm version of the scene if you want to take a closer look:

How big of a fan can someone not downloading major mission dlc, barring lack of access, really be? How invested in the story line is someone who doesn't have lotb or arrival as must plays?

my only response to this:
I completely agree

You think that's bad? People are claiming they won't get the DLC in the summer.
Free DLC... and they won't download it.

Yeah. Kinda hard to boycott free DLC and still call yourself a fan.IronSabbath88 wrote...

About the infamous "um" in the PAX panel thingie... why did it generate such a fuss? If one looks at the video, the "um" is just a normal..."um"..
Is it not?

LOL. Glad to see this brought back up again.
Yep, it was used as a way to disprove the theory believe it or not. It died quickly, and rightfully so because the anti IT people can't have us having proof to show that they were grasping at straws far harder than we were.

Also, the laugh was in response to the audience laughing, and in no way seemed mocking of IT

Well see, it's like this. The IT opponents don't have any actual evidence to work with. So they have to make stuff up out of nothing. I kind of feel bad for them. It must cost you a lot in life to be so stubborn you'll never admit you're wrong about anything, ever.
To be fair, we don't have much "actual" evidence either (just moments in the games that lend themselves heavily to this particular interpretation). But at least ours is a little more involved than the anti-ITers go-to response ("cause BioWare is lazy!")

Thanks for the thought, but we didn't really need a joke to break the tension.

LOL, kinda true though, when all three games serve as evidence, it feels like a lot.

Woah I've never seen that! I think they probably wanted Harbinger to shoot yello beams at first but probably changed it to red for ME3. I'd rather see the red to be honest.
Didn't bioware say there were no "reapers win" ending planned though?
I can understand them adding TIM. It wasn't known that he was with the reapers or at least had ties with them. It is weird that they put it there. Perhaps the had plans to have TIM play a different role but scrapped it.

No, Bioware said that there WILL be a "reapers win ending"

The only quote I remember about the reapers winning was one that said it would be entirely possible for the reapers to win. Never heard about them changing that.EpyonX3 wrote...

While "technically" everyone can die with your low EMS ending, the reapers wouldn't win either since they are destroyed alongside everything else.

Yep. That, along with almost everything else they told us about the ending, was undeniably false. As opposed to now, where all the stuff they've said against IT was vaguely worded and interpretable as something else.
