Made some improvements to my altered version of this theory.

I seriously recommend taking a look.

It's basically IDT without disregarding the end as a complete hallucination and much more likely to be what is explained in the Extended Cut rather than the IDT itself. BW said they aren't changing the ending, IDT requires the ending to technically change, this version doesn't. Tell me what you think.

I'm really ok, if one possible ensing is a Reaper win ending.. than all in between.. but I also would have liked a good ending for SHep/Galaxy/LI and friends.. so everybody could have the ending they want.. but what do we have .... Space Magic !!!

The only hope is IDT..

Ok so if synthasis would make the geth half organic and half synthetic then how would they reproduce.... Would space magic give them reproductive organs and enable tiny mechanical geth babies? Some how i think people against IT fail to think of the crazy stuff they defend..... Also @Lex0r11 lets see you get a pic for this!!

That's a thing I really fail to understand - I can totally accept that some people do not support IT, but the current ending at face value is just such a tremendous amount of nonsense that I cannot even imagine any reasonable person defend this.

@schneeland also with synthasis the player would be limiting the geth so much more because as half and half they wouldn't be able to transfer to different platforms or objects with enough processing power so would be unable to help the quarians with the imune system jump start using the quarians suits.......... although with no mass relays it wouldn't realy matter, plus what type of food would the geth eat being part organic? SO MANY HOLES IN THE LOGIC!!!

impossible to conjecture.

We will no longer human, we have the physiognomy of humans only.

How will we feed ourselves?
How will we reproduce?
How do we think? Calculate?
Will We need air to breathe?

Everything is possible in this ending.

@cucobr I know that pretty much anything could happen in synthasis ending im just saying that in the lore of the game and ME universe its just realy realy improbable and most likely impossible.

Okay, this one is a little out there. I'm wondering if I should even say it because of the IT opponents' tendency to think mocking the weakest possibly IT hints debunks the whole thing but then again they'll do that anyway...

There is just one thing that came to mind lately about this Indoctrination Theory (which I don't support, but if it means it allows some people to cope with the ending, excellent). What bothers me is that people continuously batter this forum about how Bioware lied to them about their 16 different endings, yet the promise that this game would bring Shepard's story to a conclusive end (don't ask for an exact quote cause I shan't be bothered to look for one, but we all know they said this) is ignored by the IT supporter. For the record, the way I understand the Indoctrination Theory is that Shepard wakes up and the battle continuous (no end at all) or the even less logical that even though he was indoctrinated it destroyed the Reapers and thus we do get an end but it begs the question why the Reapers have a destroy option at all when it would be just as easy as having it blow up in Shepard's face.

Again, I don't mind at all if you support the theory, but please don't judge people who don't as fools for not seeing the 'obvious' signs you see.

Yeah IT essentially explains that Shepard wakes up in the rubble on Earth the battle still going. It only covers the plot holes of the current ending turning it into the twist of the century.

However a lot of us IT believers are also well aware that that is not an ending and pretty much expect the extended cut fills in that part if IT is true. Several people have posted ideas as to how things can be wrapped up neatly throughout thee thread.
