Hey, whatever happened to the "ghost ship" saga, back from me2. It was brought up within the "cerberus daily news" feature. was this ever mentioned again? Because i think it was pretty damn interesting.

I was wondering about that too.

Another thing I wondered about was the Raloi that were mentioned in the Cerberus News Network a few times. The news recordings you hear on the Citadel say that the Raloi all decided to retreat back to their homeworld and destroy all their satellites in an effort to appear to primitive for the Reapers to harvest.

I wonder if it worked.

Edit: Now that I think about it, it probably could have worked and fooled the Reapers if THE NEWS HADNT REPORTED ON IT AND TOTALLY BLOWN THEIR COVER! Damned media.

@D.Sharrah: I said something similar a few pages back. He could be in the reaper equivalent of the Geth Consensus. That way everything she did could conceivably have real EFFECTS.

Also, a thought I had. Some people have suggested that Shepherd is supposed to form the core of the "human reaper." If that's true, and of course we don't know if it is, maybe Javik was supposed to be the core of the Prothean Reaoer, and not having him is why they didn't make one?

There was no prothean reaper because their DNA wasn't harvestable AFAIK, so they just wiped them out.

They turned the Protheans into the Collectors.

I'm pretty sure that the Keepers created the Reapers. Look how similar they are (multiple legs). Seriously.
Vigil hints at that possibility stating that the Keepers were probably the first species affected by the Reapers' cycles.

What really bothers me is this:

- IT fills 90% of the holes depending on how you interpret it
- BioWare (Merizan) saying this like: "oooh, I wish I could talk about it spoiler free!" ..."just hold on a little longer"..."we are keeping our saves"

This really got my hopes up.

But then around PAX and the DLC announcement saying:
- we have postponed other DLC in order to clarify the endings (if this was part of the plan, why postpone and clarify?"
- Casey/Mac writing in a vacuum
- EA rushing them, the rest of the game being un-polished and the shortest production cycle
- PAX saying "its good our fans are very enthusiastic"

Those put me off.

It's a shame that Bioware didn't actually decide to capitalize on plot hooks from Cerberus News. Imagine visiting the Raloi homeworld. Perhaps with a final choice of whether you should convince the Raloi to join the war effort, possibly consigning them to near-extinction in the process. That's just one possibility, the Raloi are a goldmine of opportunity for some damn powerful storytelling.

Then again, maybe they're planning to do something later. ME1 is filled with little tidbits in planet descriptions of things that become major plot points later (ex. The Leviathan of Dis).

Also, the ghost ship is a reaper. I've no doubt about it.

Yes but they didn't create a new Reaper out of them.

It would be a real shame, if it turned up to be false.
Or at least, if it does, i think the people in here at least deserve some credit from bioware.
Everyone in here is so damn observant, and we have found a truckload of hints...screw that ot's just too much to call it "hints" or coincidence..im going to say it straight "evidence".

So if it turns out to be false, we deserve some credit for finding all the mistakes, story inconsistencies and flat out bs, and not mocking bioware about it. instead, we believe in them. beleieving they actually did something briliant here. that's true dedication.

Soooooo true. It better be right of im going to feel really really let down...

@schneeland, Exactly. That's why I believe Vega's comment about the hum has some real significance. Even without Kaidan saying that, though, why would BioWare just put that line in for Vega without reason? It's not their style.

I love the "hum" conversation you have with Vega. Again, people who don't believe in IT say "Hey, it's a ship, things hum."

But come on, would they really include that line that directly links to the Codex entry on indoctrination?

One other thing to point out.

Tali has stated time and again, THE NORMANDY ENGINE IS NEARLY PRENATURALLY SILENT.

You should be. It's very liberating. =]

Personally, I like the Indoc theory, as it makes sense in the context of the game, the dreams (when has Shepard dreamed like that before?), and everything else that happens in 3.

I find it interesting that you are teleported to a hallway which conveniently leads you to a control panel that can open the arms of the citadel. I am the only one who thought that was strange? I mean really...this didn't bother anyone else?

The whole dialogue with Anderson while walking to the conveniently placed control panel just didn't sit right with me. I started crossing the bridge then Anderson says "I see something ahead, might be a way to crossover" then Shep replies "Don't get to far ahead of me". I was like ok...but I'm already on the bridge he just spotted how can he get ahead of me.

I must have explored that area for about 15 minutes, I just don't see where he could have have come out. I don't believe he went through a secret passage because the timing and the dialogue just doesn't add up.

You did start with "I find it interesting that no one questions..."

To clarify, I understand you were probably referring to the anti IT people, but the regulars here have started to get a little tired of things being repeated over and over.
This forum, due to the continuous barrage of mockery from the outside, has become in a lot if ways more like a private forum.
