Just played the ending again (ugh!) and have some more insight. Maybe Indoc. Theory and the Hackett conspiracy theory tie in together. That latter theory states Hackett was trying to get Shepard indoctrinated because he was himself.

Again, many people point out Hackett contacts Shepard while she's aboard the Citadel after he'd presumed her dead. Granted, he could have overheard Anderson's and Shepard's comm chatter but I highly doubt they'd pick out such a small frequency in the rush of a battle. The only way he could have known then is through the Reapers whom know through the Illusive Man.

I think the start of Shepard's hallucination begins when she passes out next to Anderson. Isn't it funny that most people on the verge of death all speak of a "white light"? The Starbrat was a white enough light. Harbinger thought he'd killed her but when she managed to dock the Crucible, the Reapers grew desperate. In her unconscious state they could exploit her mind, make her think she'd won and she'd die with content knowing humanity was safe. Thus, they remove their biggest threat. Now all they have to do is mop up.

Also: "...now you can further her legacy by buying downloadable content." F*** you EA.

Wow, it seems that I have never played that mission. It's quite a shock for me :) . Or I don't remember.

It could be you forgot, I know I forget somethings until I played the game again. Also did you scan all of the planets on your playthough?

Maybe he doesnt remember because he was indoctrinated!

So Bioware started to indoctrinate us since ME2, I think I'm on to something. lol

I chose Control. OMG I'm indoctrinated. Posted Image

The Star Child beat me also, until I was saved by this thread.

They've obviously not seen this Tweet.

I'm not the biggest fan of Angry Joe, but I think he got his info from the FAQ for the extended cut, but all that can change (and to me it will likely change).

I like angry joe, but in a lot of ways I think he's taking this whole thing even harder than most of us. Stay strong, joe, if you're reading. Hold the line....

Because I cant look through all 1400 pages of this thread or check forums constantly to see whats been said. Do you have the time to do that?

You did start with "I find it interesting that no one questions..."

To clarify, I understand you were probably referring to the anti IT people, but the regulars here have started to get a little tired of things being repeated over and over.
This forum, due to the continuous barrage of mockery from the outside, has become in a lot if ways more like a private forum.

 I understand what you mean about the beginning of my post, I edited it.  The constant mockery can get tiresome. No worries

And we like it that way :devil:.

In abscence of Bioware, and being the only person with the power to use this mighty smiley :devil:, I declare myself High Preistly! :P

Yep, definitely intended as a compliment

What is?

That this forum functions as a port in the storm, and the level of kinship among so many of the users

You are correct in your suspicion of that, and it has been discussed since practically day one, essentially because it is one of the strongest indicators of how surreal the ending sequence is.

Hmm.. I am considering a new sig.

It reads;

I have declared myself High Priestly of our god who art in forum boards, Chris Priestly!

Thoughts?

Another option regarding when indoc started (or at least when it got heavy):

After Collapsing with Anderson before the light elevator. It kinda feels like an end in it's own way there, the stuff after is when things get really weird so a dream sequence/IT works well from here.

(I appreciate that the copping a beam to face still works, but I feel the ending kinda works right up UNITL the light elevator)

@Arian:

Sounds nice. But you will need to tweak the second part of your sig a bit into something more spiritual ;)

So I don't know is this has been said but I'm replaying ME3 now and just got to the Citadel the first time. After talking to the council and Udina I saw James at a window and talked to him. He said something about "this place" making you forget about the war. I don't know if its a hint that the Citadel has a small Indoc effect, or just a random comment. Still something to think about.

I have a question for anyone reading this. Do you think the rest of the reapers will retreat through the mass relies after Harpenger is defeated?

To me it's like a false sense of security and nothing with the indoc effect.

So are we still supporting the indoc theory since the statement before PAX east? I haven't really been in tune with anything ME3 lately. Any new "discussions" or "theories" about indoc going on lately?

Amh, people, please, allow me to ask you for a favor. I want to write an article about ME3 endings, Retake ME movement and IT, bioware declarations, etc. (because there's very few information in spanish about all ME3 ending stuff) and I'm trying to find the "There will be no A B C ending" interview... But i can't... It's the last thing I need. Can someone, please, tell me where to find it?

Well, thanks in advance.
