sorry no, just no, this theory means bioware and EA gave us an unfinished product on purpose and if it wasnt for this huge out cry from fans then we would still be getting the dlc this summer but it would be paid dlc. PLus make all decisions from ME3 pointless as you are not in control

Right, because Indoctrination Theory is what renders your choices pointless, and not the current endings themselves.

Really, I never get when people say IT makes all your decisions in ME3 invalid. We're only saying the stuff on the Citadel at the end isnt actually happening.

Your choices with the krogan, quarians, and geth still all actually happened. You only make one decision after Harbinger's blast, and thats choosing your favorite color.

God forbid you render that invalid.

Ok, two things:

You make the assumption it would be paid. No. Just no. You can't use your hate to justify your hate.

And the entire point of IT is that you ARE in control. You have a choice. That's what makes it such an amazing ending, because ONLY a videogame could pull it off. You could not do this in any other media. Not one.

Besides which, not believing something because you don't like it doesn't work. Anyone who justifies IT because they "like that it makes a better ending" is making the same mistake.

I know it was allegedly. but it does make sense.

It's mentally impossible with the skills of bioware's team to come up with the ending we've got. Not after DA1: the old republic 1 and 2, and ME1 and 2. It just isn't.

Like telling me Einstein couldn't solve 1+1 after releasing his theory of relativity. Just not possible.

Now if his publisher went on to write 1+1=3. Then passed it off as Einsteins... it would make sense.

You know, there is something I discussed with a friend of mine and it's in regards to the whole "Casey and Mac wrote the ending by themselves" thing.

Sure, they wrote a secret indoctrination ending by themselves to combat the leaks all the while keeping their vision of having Shepard "lose control" like what was stated in the Final Hours app!

I swear, people only see what they want to see. It has been said that they were playing with the idea, and guess what? It got implemented.

Conspiracists like blaming SPECIFIC persons because it is then easy for the masses to accept it. Feeling a grudge for a whole company is not something as easy as for individuals.
So who are the real conspiracists here?

NOTE: No one from Bioware/EA ever confirmed that it was the two who were the first and last instance that decided what the ending was to be. Of course, that doesn't mean that it isn't true, but this rumor seems to have turned into fact. It is STILL ONLY A RUMOR that Casey and Mac were the only responsible for the endings we got.

Afaik that line of thought, that walters and hudson assumed direct control, was debunked.

I believe that priestly talked to weekes who the leak supposedly came from and debunked it.

but I could be thinking something else. I'm pretty sure i'm right though.

Wasnt the source of the rumor a post on another forum made by an account known to be owned by Patrick Weekes though?

And Bioware was all "Nah, that wasnt really him, that was just an imitator. Please ignore the fact that he actually posted using Weekes' account"

The "unofficial" Weekes interview from PAX stated that they actually talked about EDI surviving the destroy ending, so it would seems that the ending was run by the team.
