as far as i know you have to bring edi along with you for the final mission.

Last time I brought Garrus (LI) and Javik on the final mission, Garrus walked out alright, but instead of Javik, James game out..

So is my assumption correct - that no one completely understands who will walk out at the end?  It seems sometimes it's your LI, but not always, sometimes its one of the last squadmembers you take with you...

I took Garrus and Kaidan with me and they both ended up on the Normandy. Kaidan was my LI.

:P simply making a joke from star wars. AS to exagerate and make it look as it was not concrete what we say (even though it clearly is)

I've heard that you can't get an ending without someone who was in your squad showing up (unless you completely fail), but is that confirmed?

Is kaidan any good ?... he kind a blended into the background in ME1 for me. Thinking of letting ashley die finally... even though I'm a sexist by women's account coz I can't let that woman die...

yeah I understand why his personality looks a little dull to some. But I really like him because I like calm, shy people in real life, so.. ;) He's so adorably autistic

I've heard that you can't get an ending without someone who was in London showing up (unless you completely fail), but is that confirmed?

Not true. Due because my first playthrough was. Liara and Garrus. I took em with me on every mission, Literally. Except cerberus base. Liara and EDI.. ranoch, Tali and EDI. The rest were just Liara and Garrus.

My second one was weird. Liara and Tali.
3rd Liara and James
4th Liara and...... Ashley<_<

Autistic???... what??? thats a first one. I use to be shy. And half my friends are still my shy group from before. Kaidan simply didn't .... bond.

Although to be honest, Ashley wasn't that big either. I saved her simply because she is female. Even though every fiber in my being told me otherwise:
A-Kaidan is higher rank
B- Kaidan is more useful
c- Kaidan is a biotic
d-Kaidan is more experienced
e-Kaidan isn't racist/prejudice.... too much
f-Kaidan is  a FU(*^(&^&*(T SENTINEL YEAH!!!!!!

Ashley:
A- ...... I can't let a woman die is just not in me.

So yeah

well he's not really autistic, but he sometimes acts like it, especially in ME1.
I don't have any problem with letting women die.Well I'm one myself. But I really liked Ashley, so it was a hard decision for me.

So it's your LI and a randomised(?) surviving character? I can't see any relevant choices that might affect it. Maybe someone will hack it and find out.

Well I found that there's a LegendSave.pcsav save which is invisible, like newgameplus save, and its the same save as the autosave you get after finishing the game.. that is to the point before the Cerberus HQ assault. Thoughts? Why have an invisible unloadable savegame when you have an auatosave at the same point?

Forget Shepard surviving the blast on the citadel for a moment...how did the concrete (assuming there is any) manage to get through the blast mostly intact?  Hell, that stuff practically starts crumbling if you look at it funny!:D

Well assuming that you take the ending literally, wouldn't that suggest that the blast isn't as destructive as it looks?

Look...we saw the fireball that was the explosion. Even if the Citadel is built strongly enough to withstand it partially we are still talking about and explosion several km in diameter capable of destroying quantum shielded material.

I have just been to Hiroshima litterally came home yesterday after the end of my trip. I was at the memorial muesum and the pictures there, I have seen first hand the building that was preserved as a memorial. The devastation was immense, nothing close to ground zero survived when the atom bomb exploded...

...and that explosion was not even a a thousanth, no not even a millionth the strength the explosion on the citadel had  to have been and Shepard is relatively close to Ground Zero of that one. There would be no concrete after such an explosion, hell there would be no Shepard if he dosent have any shielding (which he dosent) he would be vaporized.

Shepard supposedly surviving the Citadel explosion is an even bigger bit of Space Magic than Synthesis is.

Ok I'm going to say that I agree with everyone's concerns about Shepard surviving. I'd like an explanation as well. But Shepard has run into some phycis defying situations before. He should have been vaporized on re-entry in ME2. Some say his armor and helmet kept him from being vaporized by the plasma, but that then begs the question, How strong is Shepard's armor and why do themal bullets hurt him so easily?

I'd like to chime in real fast and point out that the atmosphere on Alchera was pretty thin. When you revisit the crash site you have your breather helmet on and can see the stars and nebulae pretty well despite it apparently being day. It was certainly not equilavent to reentering earth's atmosphere

EDIT: Also, did he ever actually make it to the planet? I know you find his helmet, but I thought that was a plot hole. They (lazarus project) state clearly that his head/brain was well intact. Liara gave me the impression they found him in space. I don't know.

Ah then its different basis for you and me.

So as long as Garrus, Liara, Tali and Wrex are alive. I'll manage.

ALthough I did not like getting a krogan... were was my adoptive son... instead i got james. Mind you he was fun... but nothing compared to grunt... which could have had the same powers.

I got no attachment to James. And he is just in a book from recent publishing.  I dont see why couldn't grunt have had the same exact powers instead of James.

Here's another thing I noticed which could be evidence for the IT.

Saren on Virmire says:
"I can't let you disrupt what I have accomplished here"
"But you would undo my work. You would doom our entire civilization to complete annihilation. And for that, you must die."

The Illusive Man at the final confrontation says:
"I only wanted to protect humanity."
"You... You'd undo everything I've accomplished. I won't let that happen."

Notice the similarities?

I found that if I delete that save... I can't import it. And sometimes... it corrupts the entire save. Duno why.

Well, you could say that the only important persons that really got close to the Reapers (except the Crew) are Saren, TIM and of course Shepard.

Saren tried to do Synthesis.
TIM wanted to Control them.
Shepard.. well....

Nothing short of a dense rock can survive rentry. Or manufactured materials. An armored suit and a human body wouldn't survive. Hell EVEN if the suit did survive, I doubt the insides would be distinguishable from ash.

Huh. I have...no idea. Perhaps it's something to do with saving being disabled after the mission start?

(also, i haven't seen this brought up before, but the fact that the autosave allows you to restart the sequence of going into the beam is pretty convenient, isn't it? I don't suppose anyone has checked if you can quit at any other point in London and reload from where you left off, or do you have to start the whole mission again?)
