Well, you could say that the only important persons that really got close to the Reapers (except the Crew) are Saren, TIM and of course Shepard.

Saren tried to do Synthesis.
TIM wanted to Control them.
Shepard.. well....

oh... nice I hadn't thought of it that way... NICE.

Saren failed, TIM failed... dont follow into their footsteps, wink wink wink :P

We already knw things were coming full circle. That wasn't unexpected. At least for me.

I read multiple threads and I watched the video on Youtube. None of them mentioned this so I thought I should add it.

Well I found that there's a LegendSave.pcsav save which you get after finishing the game. It is invisible, like newgameplus save, and its the same save as the autosave you get after finishing the game.. that is to the point before the Cerberus HQ assault. Thoughts? Why have an invisible unloadable savegame when you have an auatosave at the same point?

Huh. I have...no idea. Perhaps it's something to do with saving being disabled after the mission start?

(also, i haven't seen this brought up before, but the fact that the autosave allows you to restart the sequence of going into the beam is pretty convenient, isn't it? I don't suppose anyone has checked if you can quit at any other point in London and reload from where you left off, or do you have to start the whole mission again?)

Thats what the autosave is for, why have another save that you cannot even load from the menu? And whats up with the name Legendsav? At first I thought its some kind of post-game NG+ type save. Then I loaded it in the editor and found its the exact save autosave that the game returns you to afater finishing. I'm not saying its some kind of evidence, just found it weird.

And that save near the beam, its certainly very convenient. It's like its built just to go back and see how things are in the other ending (I certainly did that). I'd check the next time I reach london that reload thing.

Perhaps a backup or something?

But ah, ok, if the name Legendsave isn't what your final autosave is called, I don't know. Perhaps it's the save the dlc content would read (whether IT dlc or simply more dlc like ME2s I couldn't say). Certainly an interesting name though.

What exactly are the factors that determine which other squad member, along with your LI walks out of the Normandy at the end? I'm trying to make EDI walk out of it after a destroy ending.

I would imagine getting edi to come out would require a huge amount of EMS. Seems the more EMS you have the least amount of damage the red space magic does.

Isn't everything after 4000 just eye candy?

I think 5000 is the magic number. no pun intended.

Ok, someone on Twitter has said to me they think they can hear another voice (Harbingers) in the god childs speech when he talks about control. Haven't checked yet, but I'm rubbish at hearing this stuff anyway, so others might wanna check too.

Love to see the anti-IT'ers explain that if it turns out to be true.

They'll find a way to blame it on lazy writing, naturally.

during the choice scene. When tje starkid says "you must choose" you can definitely hear a ver menacing voice. Sounds like harbinger to me, but iut could just be audio discrepancy.

everyone is lazy at the end, remember? :P

True, but I've checked and I can't hear it. There are few rumblings when it shows the clip of the illusive man doing control, but not from the kid, and it could easily be ambient noise.

My problem is, that I really want to believe the IT. It explains all these plotholes perfectly and the arguments for it are very very good, but only if you stay inside the Mass Effect universe. What about the real world? Now there are these Twitters and stuff which pretty much indicate that the IT is right, or at least something similar is going to come.
Like for example: "Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different." But the question is I got here: Why don't they tell us?! Why don't they say anything clear? BioWare has already lost quite a few customers and fans with it, and with some people actually giviing their games back and get their money back cause of the ending, they loose even more money. So why would they wait so long and don't talk? Something tells me that they are just desperate and don't really want to admit that they messed up. :/

They failed because they allowed themselves to give in to indoctrination. They could have had a better shot at victory if they aligned themselves with Shep who wants to "destroy" the reapers.

Guys, just saying, didn't a writer/voice actor or someone at Bioware over a tweet, basically say "When Shepard wakes up he is on the Citadel"

..Which sort of de-bunks the entire theory. Be nice to hear back.

Hmm I hear an echo of "choose" on both channels but it doesn't sound like Harbinger to me.

I'd like to chime in real fast and point out that the atmosphere on Alchera was pretty thin. When you revisit the crash site you have your breather helmet on and can see the stars and nebulae pretty well despite it apparently being day. It was certainly not equilavent to reentering earth's atmosphere

EDIT: Also, did he ever actually make it to the planet? I know you find his helmet, but I thought that was a plot hole. They (lazarus project) state clearly that his head/brain was well intact. Liara gave me the impression they found him in space. I don't know.

But we do see him at least beginning to burn up as he falls. But lets assume that what you're saying is correct and the suit was enough to save him from the heat. The speed at which he would hit the ground would be much greater then since there would be less resistance from the air.

That impact alone would be enough to liquify him, suit or no suit.

As for liara, I don't remember the conversation well but I don't think she was actually there on the planet getting him. Her buddy Feron(Spelling?) was the one who actually got him.

Sadly the atmospheric pressure and gravity is roughly 13% less than that of earth.. still more than enough to do the damage necessary.

Not sure if he's referring to Jessica. She states that Shepard is on the Citadel and reentry didn't happen. She then clarified in another post saying "She believes" shepard is on the Citadel.

Ahh well then there you go, no need to make more assumptions. We shouldn't of had Shepard's body. That whole part of the story seemed unnecessary for me. Especially since him being rebuilt has shown no real benefit besides cool looking scars and glowing red eyes.
