*whew* Okay, I've got no idea what's going on because I've been getting ready to go out of the country for a week & a half . . . at which point I'll be completely in the dark. Oh, the fun it'll be getting caught up. :pinched:

In any event, I just wanted to pop in here to say how awesome it'll been chatting with you guys, even with the occasional bouts of madness that hit this forum. I will deputize anyone brave enough to take up my self-issued mantle of trying to keep things calm and civil in my absence.

Or, you know, lex0r11 could just post Liara repeatedly. Whatever works. :)

Take care, everyone!

You guys stay civil while Blue Baby is here.

Awwwww, it's so CUTE.  I would use a smiley, but I can't find one that fits.  OK, now that I'm done with that, Kyzee, if you're still here, I just want to let you know that I will try to keep things civil while you're gone.  I'll admit, I'm not perfect, and I have had a couple moments of weakness, but I can't help but feel that I've done my best to stay calm, and even when I explode, I always try to never use profanities.  Good luck with your trip.

Do you just have an endless supply of these that you can deploy when summoned?

I do believe he does.

I dunno what the shiny thing during the breath scene is. But is it really that important? It's so minor compared to the clearly concrete rubble laying around you..

I've always dismissed it, to be honest. It's the ONLY metal thing in the scene, you'd think if it was the Citadel, you'd see a lot more than that, but concrete is the mainstay.

Yeah, the concrete kind of overshadows the other details IMO.

I agree that the concrete seems to be the big part. Plus you can see the rebars. However in the interest of not sparking up the argument that kicked off about this last night, I'll say that I believe it's earth and he's buried in debris. From what, given there were no buildings in the immediate vicinity of the shuttle, I have no clue. But I do still feel in my gut that it's Earth. There's just too many problems with the storytelling from that point on.

Oh, I agree, but I just think it's interesting that they included it. You can definitely see it reflects the light differently from the concrete, so they deliberately did it. I wanna know why :P

Also, the piles of bodies near the beam which are actually made up from bits of Kaiden, Ashley and Jenkins creep me the f*ck out. I thought live people were needed to harvest to make a reaper anyway, hence the stasis fields created by the Collectors' bugs. If that is the case then dead'uns just wouldn't do the trick and Shepard's supposition on the crucible is wrong.

I didn't notice this, can anybody point it out for me?

Oh, you think the dream started when the shuttle crashed? How come? I didn't see any problems when I was doing my replays, but I haven't heard much about this interpretation.

Also, careful. Using arguments like "I feel it in my gut" are...problematic, at best.

Also, I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but here. This is the conversation before the dreams change to Shepard hugging the boy (though from the title I'm sure you can guess why most people watch this video :P ). Symbolism much with the helmet?

"I thought I heard the casing crack"

Good catch, I'll refrain from making inflammatory comments like that so I don't get into trouble. Honestly speaking I'm not sure when the dream started, I can see the arguments for the shuttle being the beginning and Harbingers beam also being the start. What I meant was that Harbinger's beam wasn't too far from the shuttle, and there were no buildings in front or behind which could create the debris. Given the destruction around Shep at the end I guess It would have to be Harbinger's beam tearing up the Tarmac/concrete/whatever.

Forgive the contradictions, I am verreh verreh tired!

I think the fact that when Shepard hugs the boy they both go up in flames is pretty damn symbolic in itself.

Ah right, yeah ok. Also several gunships are shot down as you run at Harbinger (including one that is shot down close but mysteriously vanishes when you wake up) so might be them as well.

It COULD be glass from a vehicle.. who knows. Like I said, I dont pay too much attention to that thing.

The windows on the shuttles are shaped oddly.

I swear they smirk slightly as they burn, but I'm only sure of that with my Shepard cos I know her face well. And yeah, it's just that this happens just after Thessia (right :S ) and I thought the metaphor was a little heavy handed for the apparent PTSD storyline.

YOU BEAUTIFUL PERSON. Not only is that a great enhancement but look behind it. I knew it. It's an upturned MAKO.

EDIT: or ok, it looks like one to me. Dialing back the enthusiasm :P

i don't know if this has been brought up or not but if you watch the ending's red is the only one that dose not show Shepard's moment of death. what i mean is that the camera zooms out right as the place is getting ready to explode. in the other two endings you see him/her die for sure, were red dose not show his/her moment of death.

just thought it was something worth mentioning.

No, but seriously. Determine what models have a stripe like that on their hull. Does the Destroy tube thing have a long stripe like that?

I don't think that's rocks... that looks far too detailed to be rocks. It definitely looks like some sort of overtuned vehicle.

Also, the shuttles like I said have a very strange shape sometimes. It's possible we could be looking at one.
