Off topic: I finally got my commendation pack from Operation Raptor, and I received the N7 Valiant 1. Does anybody know if I can upgrade this using packs purchased from the store, or can it only be upgraded by more commendation packs?

I think its only commendation packs.

Also, lucky you, I got the N7 SMG, that thing sucks.

Really? I like the N7 Hurricane glad i got 2 from the last packs, cept I don't much use smg's in the multiplayer. You know what's odd the hurricane seems to get hit markers more when you don't aim, recoils like crazy in aim mode.

Seriously though the Quarians are a bunch of warmongers, accept for Admiral Korris he was cool and Kal'Reeger rocked as well.

In my worst playthough, I had every one die except Mordin, Miranda and Garrus, well because he's Garrus. The whole point of keeping Mordin was so I could kill him in the third one, I know I'm sick. And Imma let Miranda die anyway. It was actually pretty depressing to not save most of my crew, bioware totally knows how to make you care for its characters.

I only had Morinth and Garrus survive.

Morinth because keeping an Ardat-Yakshi around seemed like the dumbest possible thing I could do, and Garrus because he was my romance in that playthrough.

Poor guy only gets to romance my FemShep in her worst possible playthrough.

Edit:

Also, I highly recommend killing Mordin in at least one game. Padok Wiks is pretty awesome.

There's a link on the side to all the character death scenes. and Damn. Just...damn. Seeing those should be proof enough that Bioware couldn't have foregone logic and reason for the endings to be literal.

Mordin,,,just...wow. i felt slimy in how evil it is to kill him to get the salarian aid.

Wanna know the worst part about killing Mordin?

If you actually pay attention, you'll notice its like the one time in the game Shepard uses a pistol that isnt the Predator in a cutscene.

Shep shoots him with a Carnifex.

Do you remember where you got that Carnifex?

He trusted you! And you shot him in the back and then tossed away the gun he gave you like a piece of trash.

You're a horrible person.

I actually like to think that Shepard tossed away the gun in disgust with what he had been forced to do. Certianly dosent look like he is during it just because he dosent need the gun anymore.

But whatever, never gonna go that route anyway, never.

True, didn't mean to imply that ALL Aerie ever said. For instance if you met another species or foreigner, she'd enthusiastically ask them how to say "WOE IS ME! /wrist" in their language.

Hurricane = Terrible
Eagle = Extremely bad
Crusader = Decent
Valiant = Awesome

+1. I only wish I could take the black widow to that scene and see if I could take them both down with one bullet.

That's what I both love and hate about the series. I'll play through each game dozens of times, and there's still stuff I never see because there's some crap I'll never do. It's great that it's so vast in what you can see and experience in the series. I just hate missing stuff. =/

Which sniper weapon do you guys think is the best? I prefer the Javelin; in the SP that is, in MP it doesn't matter which one you think is best, it only matters which ones you get :|

8km wide fireball! Hiroshima's fireball was 400 m wide! Why don't people get this? That other thread is making me crazy.

Also, they're totally cables. Reaper cables are symbolic of Reaper control. BW told us reapers were trying to control us.

Oh hey dude! I just quoted you!

Hey! I just saw that! Thanks.

I'm going to have to give up on that thread. Their rebuttals make so little sense, I'm pretty sure I'm getting trolled.

Yeah, but I dont think you understand how bad my aim is.

Multiple times I've shot a rocket at an Atlas only for the rocket to go between the arm and the body of the mech.

While that'd be impressive if I was actually trying to do that, thats not the case.

HA HA! O.k., stick with what works, But remember that someone out here is sad on your behalf that you will never have that satisfaction.Posted Image

Few standouts:

Javelin: It has an innate vision filter that lets you see through smoke and such, so you free up an extra mod.  Incredible penetration (giggity) and damage.  On the downside it's one shot per clip, very heavy, has a slight firing delay, and the aforementioned vision filter is tunnel vision on steroids.  With alien writing.

Black widow:  Slightly less damage and penetration than the traditional widow, also heavier.  But three shots per clip!  Heavy rifle, but the priiize.  The clip thing is especially important on high difficulty where you have to deal with shieldgating.  This is that stupid mechanic that makes it so on insanity/gold, if a target has ANY shield then you can't damage its health.  i.e. a target has one bar of shield, you could hit it with a cruise missile and it'll only lose that one bar.  With one-shot SRs, you've got to a very long reload animation that gives the enemy time to counterattack and/or regen its shield.  With the BW, you just click again and remove its head.

Mantis:  "OMG, the starter SR?!"  Hear me out.  It's a one-shotter with no special features but it's very lightweight compared to other SRs and it has very respectable damage.  If you rely a lot on powers, this is a good balance between a powerful rifle and being able to use your abilities more than once every 5 minutes.  A level 10 mantis is comparable to a level 1 widow damage wise at only half the weight.

Valiant:  Decent but not awesome damage, 3 shots per clip.  However its reload time is insanely fast.  Less than a third of most SRs.  It's like a widow had a one night stand with a mattock and this is the beautiful, beautiful offspring.  If that sounds appealing but you don't have a valiant, the raptor is a good alternative.

Mostly it depends on your skill and playstyle.  How good are you at headshots, how important is cover penetration, ect.

It's not really related to this thread at all. But I just stumbled on an incredible post that sums up why the ending (sans IT) is so awful. It also happens to describe one of the main reasons I find IT so compelling: The ending was so certifiably, inexcusably, terrible that BW couldn't have NOT known.

...Plus all the in-game evidence. At some point these things stop being a coincidence and start being intentional.

I already thought that breath scene was on Earth but I didn't even notice that Mako-like object in the background. Mind = BLOWN.

Is that image run through a brightness filter? I remember it being darker on my end runs, and less blue.

I'm pretty sure, there will be some random guy, who will come up with an explanation to why that mako could also be up on the citadel. he will also have created a video, in which he uses flycam to prove his point.
something along these lines, i'm sure: "well anderson said he entered the beam after you. and since he still manqges to get to the console before you (you silly IT supporters always bring that up, and we just steadily ignore it while trying ti debunk IT), which means he TOTALLY turned that mako on earth around, hopped in and drove right into that beam. Having the speed advantage, it's alogical conclusion he manages to beat you to that console" ..ugh.

On a serious note...i'd reall love to see, how they want to debunk that one (delldo's pictures)

What intrigues me about those pictures is the blue light, the beam appears to be active still. Though the architecture around the beam seems different.
