Well as long as we dont know we will be keeping "watch" over the forum, how many IDT supporters would leave if they knew that it was never going to happen?

I wouldn't be happy if the 'Extended Cut' still leaves these questions unanswered. Which seems to be what she is saying.

Standard disclaimer of her not actually having knowledge of development plans, et al; if they don't answer the right questions, it'll prove they really don't know what they doing. Then the question becomes, 'when did they lose their way?'

It's not really related to this thread at all. But I just stumbled on an incredible post that sums up why the ending (sans IT) is so awful. It also happens to describe one of the main reasons I find IT so compelling: The ending was so certifiably, inexcusably, terrible that BW couldn't have NOT known.
...Plus all the in-game evidence. At some point these things stop being a coincidence and start being intentional.

Me neither, I would pack up and leave but we are still here, and as long as we are here people will buy the games, DLC and play the multi player, when the forum is dead, and no one plays the game BW and EA will know that they are done, they are just trying to salvage the situation and let time take its course.
The longer that we wait the less mad we are and bigger chanse that we will buy other BW games.

Probably BW should be really aware that this strategie will pretty sure backfire...

summer and the guys who wait for the DLC will be even more dissapointed
if the ending still is crappy.

Which sniper weapon do you guys think is the best? I prefer the Javelin; in the SP that is, in MP it doesn't matter which one you think is best, it only matters which ones you get :|
Few standouts:
Javelin: It has an innate vision filter that lets you see through smoke and such, so you free up an extra mod. Incredible penetration (giggity) and damage. On the downside it's one shot per clip, very heavy, has a slight firing delay, and the aforementioned vision filter is tunnel vision on steroids. With alien writing.
Black widow: Slightly less damage and penetration than the traditional widow, also heavier. But three shots per clip! Heavy rifle, but the priiize. The clip thing is especially important on high difficulty where you have to deal with shieldgating. This is that stupid mechanic that makes it so on insanity/gold, if a target has ANY shield then you can't damage its health. i.e. a target has one bar of shield, you could hit it with a cruise missile and it'll only lose that one bar. With one-shot SRs, you've got to a very long reload animation that gives the enemy time to counterattack and/or regen its shield. With the BW, you just click again and remove its head.
Mantis: "OMG, the starter SR?!" Hear me out. It's a one-shotter with no special features but it's very lightweight compared to other SRs and it has very respectable damage. If you rely a lot on powers, this is a good balance between a powerful rifle and being able to use your abilities more than once every 5 minutes. A level 10 mantis is comparable to a level 1 widow damage wise at only half the weight.
Valiant: Decent but not awesome damage, 3 shots per clip. However its reload time is insanely fast. Less than a third of most SRs. It's like a widow had a one night stand with a mattock and this is the beautiful, beautiful offspring. If that sounds appealing but you don't have a valiant, the raptor is a good alternative.
Mostly it depends on your skill and playstyle. How good are you at headshots, how important is cover penetration, ect.
Gonna chime in here as I just got to try out the Kishoon Harpoon Gun and holy mole I love that sniper.
Higher damage, faster reload and lower weight (quite a bit even) than the Widow makes it a great sniper.
The dropoff is well litterally drop of...the shots arc unless you charge the weapon before shooting which if you do it with every shot makes it slower than the Widow. The charge process also breaks Tac Cloak, but if you charge and then Cloak the shot itself wont break cloak allowing you to reload, move away or use a power while still under cloak.
Also it dosent pierce cover, but I can live with that.
Once I get the arc down on those shots I should be able to place some neat and fast shots.

No but this is a "short term" way of thinking, I dont work for BW or EA and I cant read their minds but this is the only "logical" explanation that I have at the moment,
I am sooooo worried about the "extended cut" DLC, I can just see a Dragon Age epilogue infront of me, with a pic of everyone and giving a short story of what happens next, if I see a IDT dlc I will kiss BW from top to toe and throw my money at them because they have trolled us so hard and they have saved a series, if not, then I will take my money somewhere else.
And if BW dosenst salvages this then they are doomed in my opinion

A 5hr debate over the cables vs. rebar in the breath scene. I saw a Forbes artical that said the BBB belives that Bioware falsely advertised ME3. and Lex0r11 still rocks.Earthborn_Shepard wrote...

My absoulte best guess for what Bioware plans to do for DLC is one of two things. If Indoctrination Theory and all other similar theroies are wrong we can more than likely expect single player and multiplayer DLC after Extended Cut is released, the single DLC would be expending on pre-ending missions we'll more than likely see things like "Take back Omega" or "Return to Ilos" and such.
OR, if Indoctrination Theory or a similar explanation is true, after Extended Cut is released we'll see various post-ending DLC that takes place After the "Shepard's breath" scene released alongside a multiplayer DLC release. More than likely we'll initially finish the battle for Earth, then maybe we'll get DLC like "Take back Palaven" or "Take back Thessia". I assume Palaven because I recall hearing the Bioware team having to drop Palaven from the game, would make sense to return to it for DLC in some way or another.
Either way, I speculate at least the first of these DLC (single and multi) will be free as an apolgy to their fanbase. The rest might cost the standard $5-$10 in points as they have in the past.
Or maybe Bioware will bow out after Extended Cut with a sincere apology and things of that nature. But, as I've said, we'll all just have to wait and see how things go.

Agree. No way Bioware could have made such a colossal botch of an ending. So if it isn't the real ending, and the in-game evidence is so compellingly pointing to indoctrination, and Bioware acts completely strange in regards to anything IT, doesn't it seem that it's actually the most likely?

I wanted to say that I finished the game before I really discovered IT, and though I was suspicious about the poor quality of the end given the high quality of everything else I was really disheartened (for some background, I'm also the kind of person who CANNOT STAND poor conclusions in books and will spend days annoyed about it).
Finding this thread and progressively reading through it, and now occasionally contributing too has given me the belief that there's a bigger plan. And I'm actually excited to see it unfold.
So cheers, people :-)

So that's what you guys were talking about when you said you saw a mako! I never saw it before! Nice pic, delldo!
Sadly, IT-opponents won't even admit that Shepard couldn't survive an 8km wide explosion (without armor). So, I anticipate much more accusations of straw grasping in our future.

No offense meant Jess, just saying your as crazy as the rest of us.

Yeah possible ways.. but if the ends are still crappy (in the we take no IDT way and explain all with space Magic). Who will buy the pre-ending DLCs ?

Yeah, that does look like a Mako. Also, to link a pic from the first page:
Gee, I wonder where Shepard is?
Ooo oo I know this! Ummm... It's oh man, I'm so nervous. It's umm... Mars! Wait, no, Thessia!
WOW. Look at those comparison shots.....I love it. Just look how the beam on Earth and the Citadel are presented, a beam of light somewhat encircled on both sides.
This pic has awesomeness written all over it.
The beams look so conveniently similar. This reminds me of when I used the radio as an alarm clock, so when I was still asleep I always remember hearing the tune from the radio in my dreams.
For example I'd suddenly sit in a car with the carradio on playing a random song and when I woke up the same song was playing in the radio.
So I find it quite odd that there would also be a beam on the citadel where there was one right in front of him back on earth.
But I can't come up with similarities between jumping in the Synthesis beam and running into the Transport beam.
And good work, noticing the Mako siluette!
