The keepers are broke inside, did you look at their eyes? Its like looking at a scared puppy, in fear they can't do anything, so they upkeep the citadel.

I can't find a good pic.

If they are scared wouldn't they try and fix it? Or get rid of the conduit? That is my point they suppose to upkeep and fix things on the citadel, the conduit stops the citadel from functioning like it should so shouldn't they find out why and fix it? Wow this is really of topic ><!

Why do they show the keeper looking at you when you first take the beam up to the citadel?

Wow, that's a good point.

Maybe the keepers are still holding on to their soul and Shepard is the only ones to free them.

I was thinking that they are paralyzed with fear so they just upkeep the citadel, so when the reapers come back they won't die.

The Conduit was only the Protheans gateway onto the Citadel. Once there they altered the Keepers so they no longer responded to the Reapers commands (How they did this is a mystery) and though the Keepers are dedicated to maintaining the Citadel they still allow other races to build there and rearange things (though they sometiems change things as well without warning as mentioned in a Codex)

Yeah, it's been brought up quite a few times, but things get buried too quickly due to everything being discussed at once.  At least it's getting attention now.

The signal kills synthetics accroding to the child and is not reaper specific. Again it's a guess as the Space Magic itself is pretty strange.

But unexplainable technology doesn't always need to imply a dream sequence.

Not all synthetics because EDI can live.

As well as shepard... (breath scene) he should be dead there... but somehow survived 2 explosions, the signal space magic wave.. and the fall back to Earth. :wizard:

EDI coming out of the ship has yet to be seen and has been rumored by a single post on a forum. To my knowledge, no one has been able to replicate it.

Sorry bout the crazy link, on my Droid

That's Synthesis. She always comes out on Synthesis so that you can see Joker and EDI's possible happy ever after. The issue is seeing edi come out after you pick the red destroy option.

Egg on my face. Apologies sir
Not what I typed into youtube, didn't pay close enough attention.

I don't know if someone asked this before, and it's a relatively small question, given the whole ending nonsense, but I was writing a fic with my new headcanon (involves the IT) and wondered *why does the Catalyst looks like the kid from Earth?*
I mean, that's either a hallucination, and Shepard projected a familiar image (looks like IT to me), or someone/something read her mind (again, looks like IT to me)...

There is 1 interpretation not involving IT. If Shepard died before the elevator took him up to the final scene, the kid might be an incarnation of God.

It can be argued that the kid was a projection from the start (how did he survive the explosion next to the vents, why is everyone ignoring him at the shuttle, the warning signs next to him everywhere, how did he get from flying the ship to the vent so fast, Anderson pays no attention to him etc). Either that or the reaper Indoc. is using images from shepards mind that will have the most manipulative effect without breaking the illusion. (eg: catalyst as LI would be easy to see through). The question is whether you think the reapers are using the image of a real kid or whether they subtly introduced him in the first place.

I think Shepard's indoc began to properly take effect after the contact with object Rho in the ME2 Arival DLC. also explains why other squad mates aren't as affected.

Isn't the idea that rushed ending and IT aren't mutually exclusive theories? That Bioware quite possibly didn't have time to execute the IT reveal, and layed all the groundwork with the plan on finalizing the end for post launch?

Really? Why would "god" show up as a child that was Shepard never really met? Wouldn't god show up as Anderson or something that he or she truly looks up to?

It's just a random thought. Actually makes no sense in the ME universe but would appeal to some players.

When I first played the demo, I thought the Kid was Shepard when he was a child. Then to see if that was true I replayed the demo as the femshep and I was wrong. Still that kid to me was never real (to could be the form of Shep's child in his or her mind, not including if your LI isn't human).

I thought it was a theory that you made or is around here somewhere in the BSN. To me god is only mention by Ashley and the other speices thinking there is more to everything around them.
