Yknow how we've all said the ending seems to be really similar to the ending of ME1? With the main indoctrinated agent approaching you right at a control panel that will open the Citadel arms?

Something I've never seen anyone mention, but has always bothered me about ME1's ending is how it pretty clearly takes you a few hours to get to Ilos, yet after Joker drops you off, the next time you see him he's randomly on the other side of the Relay to the Citadel, with the whole Alliance fleet.

Did Joker just randomly decide to run from the battle at Ilos as well? How'd he even manage to meet up with the Alliance fleet in such a short time?

If Shep is hallucinating the end, and just coming up with things that match her past memories, Joker running through a Relay would make sense, as it would be a parallel to the time Joker had to run through a whole lot of Relays to meet up with the Alliance fleet.

This reminds me. We know that Joker and the rest of the Shepard's Island crew didn't make it to the relay as it was too far to get to in the time it took to crash etc. We also know that if the relay is too far to get to, then there's no way they could have gotten out of the Sol system. Last I checked there aren't any jungle planets in the Sol system with 2 moons.

Either A. lazy writing :wizard: or B. well, we know what the answer to B is ;)

I thought it was implied that they were mid jump when the beam hit, because it's not a solid wall when it hits them (as it would be if it was a massive sphere). it's still obviously rounded, so it's chasing you through a jump. So now we have to ask why Joker was jumping from the Sol system :P

I always thought they were just in FTL and not through a relay. But I guess the round nature of the space magic suggests that they were in the relay.

If you look at the scene again you'd notice that the normandy is badly damaged based on the sparks and alerts in the cockpit. They were taking damage and got word that Hammer was decimated. So they retreated.

How the crew members made it IDK. But a rescue mission back to earth is a perfect excuse for joker getting the ship damaged like that.

Yeah, the Normandy is damaged, but then you're telling me that Joker is running away, when apparently Hackett is fully aware Shep is alive and on the Citadel, with the arms opening and the Crucible being docked? Also, Joker actually looks behind him in the video. He looks behind him at what? There'd be nothing to see.

Some time does go by between you getting hit by the beam, walking up to the control panel, your talk with TIM, Chillaxin with Anderson before he dies or by yourself, the raising platform to the kid the lengthy speech he gives and the one line you get to tell him, and ultimately making the decision. By then Joker is probably on the other side of the galaxy, maybe getting chased by reapers along the way.

I suppose I should just broadcast this again, in case anyone is replaying the end soon. I noticed if you turn the music off in the crucible and turn the effects up you can hear this weird, pulsing whistle. If anyone else can check to confirm (it's not quiet, but I suppose it could always be some weird glitch or ambient noise I wasn' aware of).

Someone a few posts back said they could hear a weird pulsing noise during the second dream but I don't have a save near there so I can't check to compare.

Yea it's not a good idea to have headphones on HIGH. Did you hear the voices of Shepard when the star child spoke to you? With the voices and there the IT is true then it would be great.

Reaper cables even in multiplayer!

They're EVERYWHERE!!

Careful, you guys might be getting indoctrinated in your multiplayer too!

Also, These pylons appear in MP as well, but they don't have backwards writing on them.

Ahh I see you're backwards 1M1 and raise you these:

The 1M1 signs are a side effect of a 3D modeling technique called Symmetrical Modeling.

http://virtuverse.wi...trical_Modeling

They made the right side 1M1 and the reverse side is mirrored, thus making the 1M1 look like it's reversed on one object but correct on another.

So you might want to explain how exactly there is this "1M1" label in a place no organic has ever been to ?
Remember in the beginning scene with Starchild you see it too (behind Shep from our POV, so it is basically left of shep) and it's pretty close to you.

But then you're implying that Hackett gave the full retreat order to the fleet, since individual ships don't have the privilage of running away when damaged. We know this isn't true, as we can see the fight going on outside. Either that, or Joker disobeyed orders and fled from a battle, abandoning everyone he knew or cared about.

Oh, the voices of Shep are definitely true, the femshep voice is easier to hear. Just google the indoctrination vid, or any vid of the end, and put in the left ear bud while the star child speaks.

This is a video I made supporting IT early on. I slowed down the part where he spoke because the voices aren't in sync. Shep's male voice is hard to hear but FemShep should be clear as day.

And yes I actually think some parts of IT is true. The points I argue about are the ones I feel take away from the thoery.

I did watch the indoc vid, it was great and after that I truly believe that Bioware put it in game. My question wouldn't the VA for both of them know the lines for Star Child or did Bioware troll them also.

Interesting tid bit, probably already mentioned. On the asarie homeworld the Prothean VI said( a splinter group sabatoged the crucible because they wanted to dominate the reapers rather than destroy them.) and later said that they found out the splinter cell was indoctrinated so.... Control=indroctination=fail

It wasn't a full retreat since you can still see fighting going on right outside the crucible like you say. But a damaged ship holding records of all of Shepards missions, accomplishments, reaper data and eye witnesses would be lost if it went down on earth. Why risk losing so much info that can be passed down to a future cycle?

*shrug* hey, it's not proof, it could easily be just a fun little thing they did. I don't think it is, but they could have told the actors that. Or the actors have signed an NDA (which I guarantee they have :P )

Erg.. I'm pretty sure Joker wasn't concerned with Sheps records. He would be concerned with Shep. That's the most damning part about the ending, Jokers gone to hell and back for you, I doubt he would even leave your body behind.

I highly doubt the Normandy was the repository for all humanity's Reaper knowledge. If that was the case they would simply have backed everything up before launching the attack.

Besides, the point of this cycle is that you choose to fight, rather than do what the Protheans did (prepare the next cycle). Priorities in battle.

The way I see the game is almost like i,Robot with a fleshout story that Bioware can write and have the Edios team work on the gameplay. Still I don't see this happening mostly because of EA, but Square and EA are decent business partners.

I could see me buying that. Good chat. Ltr bud

If it were a direct order then yes. And after hearing shepard got hit by a reaper beam, would you expect a body?

Yeah if it was fun then Bioware failed, I do agree that the actors and everybody did sign an NDA in order to hide the true ending.

Gosh damnit, do I need to get my ears checked? Listen this vid, and when the kid says:

"the created will always rebel against the creators" (1.15-->)

Can you not hear a deep voice? It's either completely new, or they amped up maleShep.

Please tell me you hear it too?

You're not the first person to say they hear a deeper voice. I don't hear it personally. Make sure you're listening only to the left channel if you want to exclude male sheps voice.

Ah well, perhaps I am wrong. Concentrate on the word "always", there's a more deeper sound. It's most likely maleShep though...
