The *caution* in the second picture is not present on the normandy's kodiaks. i don't know whether there's a difference on the ps3 version, or if the normandy's shuttles just differ from the rest. but the white *caution* sign, is nowhere to be found.

Interesting....

Some time ago, someone mentiomed that you can see me's very own bieber always standing next to "warning" or "caution" signs.

The first sign, indicating brain damage is oddly enough unique...it occurs only on the vent bieber is in.

Now, the other two signs were practically dismissed, because they occur on every shuttle. i do partially agree with that. the"danger" written on the jets is present on all shuttles, i'm allright wit that. but i have just checked the kodiaks in the shuttle bay and the "caution" on the right side of the door is nowhere to be found.

This could mean:
1. They've put it there deliberately as another indicator on bieber's danger
2.(not ruling this out) the kodiaks in the shuttle bay differ from other alliance kodiaks.

Thoughts?

Thoughts? Yes please: The Final Dream: The Chinchilla's have analyzed it, and the information is intriguing.

Note the message: Shepard finally achieves satisfaction with the child, however he is engulfed by flame. What does fire do? It kills, (obviously), but also consumes to the point that distinction can be difficult or impossible.

Fire is also sometimes interpretted as a warning of events to come- famine, plague, etc.

But more importantly, note the duality of Shepard in his dream- there are two of him existing distinctly at once: one is confused and then horrified, (natural reaction), while the other is curiously happy. In literature and mythology, this is known as the doppleganger. By contemporary paranormal interpretation, they are literal harbingers: forebearers of ill events, often death. Sometimes they are associated with the demonic.

Psychologically, dopplegangers are sometimes witnessed during exposure to high levels of electromagnetic energy- along with a sense of being watch, the hearing of voices, the witnessing of apparitions and shadow people, etc. Now it gets fun! What is the link between modern scientific observation, paranormal research and the Reaper's Indoctrination? EMF- Electromagetic Frequency. Posted Image Neurological decay, (something attributed with Indoctrination as well), is hypothesized to result in these hallucinations and nightmares, aside from EMF exposure.

And what does Shepard experience in his dreams? He hears voices, sees shadow people and a doppleganger. Posted Image

1500 pages and we are still finding things like this...by this point it is impossible it can all be a coincedence.

SARCASM ALERT:

Nonsense, we should chalk the whole thing up to bad writing! Grasping at straws, etc.

END SARCASM.

Seriously though, those are an excellent finds! Its a shame those signs are lost on the majority of the playerbase, and written off by others. It makes me wonder that if/when IT turns out to be true, how is Bioware going to come out and call attention to all these clever signs they put in to point towards it?

First, exellent find =). I allways have a big thing for mythology and I think I remember a book were you have same kind of that dream stuff too.. but can't remember atm. But I'll try to look at home and to find out.

And cause of the dream sequenzes: I think a lot of people only see them as a "Shep is depressed and feels guilty about not rescuing the boy." - dreams. I think there are a lot that don't read much or don't know a lot about mythologie, dreams and so on... so they don't see any symbolism in the dreams.

For me the dreams allways were wierd and I had the feeling they are more than just normal nightmares.

Could it be the "Anderson" part of Shepard's mind warning him that the kid isnt real? Would be well played, if so!

Actually.. is it just me or does the weird distorted face on the warning sign look a LOT like a husk? :alien:<-- kinda like that :D I mean.. why not just use a normal, human face like that instead of that weird horror version.

Hmm. Fair point.
Well, that means either interstellar incest

Synthesis still goes against any kind of logic, and everything the me series ever tried to establish, doesn't it?
Free will(y) (hehe...sorry)
Diversity
And all that ;)

even javik said, that their biggest weakness was their lack of diversity and that our diversity is the only chance we have to kick the cuttlefishes back into their aquariums.

Hm..Terrible thought. If Indoctrination is proved false by Bioware's Extended Cut, or an announcement of some kind, what purpose does all the hints at indoctrination serve? Why were they in game at all? I remember seeing somewhere (Final hours app?) that Bioware originally wanted to indoctrinate Shepard, have the players lose control of him, but something was wrong with the mechanics so they scrapped it...Would all of the evidence/hints just be left overs from that idea?

That's the more important one by far IMO.  That sticker isn't a recycle because it's not found anywhere else in the game.  So the devs put that sticker in that one spot where it would make absolutely no sense whatsoever except for IT.

I agree. My 1st play through I picked synthesis because I thought of it as the same sacrifice Legion made. But as soon as I saw Jokers eyes when he stepped of the Normandy I was sure I made a mistake. The ME series, imo, is about diversity as strength, cooperation, and self actualization. Destroy is the only option.

@rifneno. Yes i already said that it is unique to that scene. i just wanted to point out the missing "caution" sign on the normandy's context, because someone said that thos signs appear on every shuttle an can therefore be dismissed as hints.

Yeah agreed. Like many people mention on this thread why can you not see this particular warning sticker is NOWHERE else in the whole game!!! The thing is Bioware know a proportion of it's fanbase do at least 2 playthrough's of their games (at least with ME 1 + 2) so they expected people to go through the game again to try and make sense of the ending. There are too many hints throughout the game, especially with the boy, the dreams and the codex.

The fact Bioware are leaving it all to speculation just adds fuel to the fire in my opinion.

I know, I just wanted to focus on it because I don't see any plausible explanation.  The "shuttles may be different" thing at least kind of works for the other.

Well, Normandy might have altered Kodiaks because it's the Normandy. They had been upgraded to be more like Normandy itself with a stealth system.

Look for other Kodiaks in the game. Perhaps the other Kodiak in that scene, or the masses of Kodiaks during the end of the game. If none of those have "caution" on them and those ARE the mass produced Alliance shuttle that'd be interesting. Out of all the Kodiaks in the galaxy ventbrat gets on the one that has caution next to him.

Someone check that while I drive to work, perhaps?

Why they need Shepard's DNA to effect the change in the synthesis ending, whats so special about his/her DNA anyway?

Well the warning sign on the vent is still solid evidence, so don't be too disappointed! There's still a positive conclusion. Plus knowing is better than not having checked :)
