Only 3 here. Although I'm not sure when the "IT" thread started standing for "International Tongues".

Curse all of you! I'm English so naturally I only speak one language in a regional accent that nobody outside the UK can understand =P, seriously our language education is awful.

@SS2Dante If the ME ending is literal then its a POS, thats the problem. Plus the way BW has treated the fans' feedback with lame generic responses and very vague tweets is just dissapointing. Hopefully they make the Extended Cut worth it. IMO a franchise that's 100% focused on choices and consequences should have an ending where you can finally see these choices, good and bad, play out. Instead, we get the most out-of-nowhere, BS ending I've ever seen, leaving us after those 90 hours of gameplay completely in the dark as to what happened. A final game in a trilogy shouldnt end on a cliffhanger, that makes no sense at all. BioWare deserves the critisism as well as the praise they're getting for Mass Effect. I still support BW but I know for a fact they've lost a lot of fans these last few weeks.

It's the natural law of this thread.
People cannot stay focused on IT forever, something just pops up and the sidetracking begins! It's good from time to time.

I really wouldn't agree with that. Obviously it depends on the school, but compared to a lot of other European countries (e.g. Spain, where I am at the moment) the standard of teaching is extremely high. The trouble is to speak a language properly you need exposure to as many native speakers as possible (preferably in the country of origin) and there simply aren't enough teachers available. Probably because the standard of English in countries whose languages are commonly taught in English schools (French, Spanish) is often appalling.

Where in England are you from by the way? I'm from Surrey, so everyone understands me. Even if they all think I'm posh.

Agreed.

I for one, speak 2 different languages at home, while I speak german with my friends, so it's natural that I'd be pretty good in them.

the two other languages I've learned swedish an italian, and I only learned these because I went to a language program!

I'm sorry but that's a quite a childish view of it. We kill billions of micro-organisms every day by doing things like sitting down or clapping our hands. The reapers do not regard us as life equal to them, therefore killing us is not "evil". How many times have you killed an insect for no other reason that it was annoying you?

You are applying our moral perspective to them. Even if the ONLY reason for the cycle is to allow Reaper reproduction it simply makes them animals that need to kill to survive, just like everyone else. No good villian thinks they are evil, and Mass Effect has made it a point not to do black and white morality.

Don't get me wrong, they must be stopped, but I won't claim it's because we are "good" and they are evil. They must be stopped because there are trillions more of us and honestly, we want to live.

Micro-organisms? Seriously?! The difference is bacteria aren't capable of thought or feeling. Likewise it's highly unlikely insects are capable of any real thought, let alone emotion. They're pretty much a set of reactions designed to keep them alive long enough to procreate. Insects are to us what your laptop is to EDI. There's a reason there's thousands of animal rights groups and nobody gives a damn if you smack a misquito. Because if it's not sentient, it's no different than a plant.

I speak two language bad English and even baddier English.

Anyway back on topic about this star child/ugly devil child call him what you will, when he runs into the building before that event happens why dose it looks like he leaning against the glass railing watching what is happening I need to replay the scene but I swear he not just standing there it looked like he was leaning against the railing watching stuff. Give me 40 mins might be able to get a screen of what I mean I could be wrong it happens to fast.

Again, you are applying our standards as universal. Reapers do not see us as intelligent, or feeling, or life worth preserving. They see us as we see insects. You are assuming Reapers see humans the way we see ourselves.

Uhh, sentient or not isn't a perspective thing.  Either something is capable of thought and feeling or it's not.  And the Reapers clearly do know organics are sentient.
