Shocking Discovery!
The decision chamber may have had trees initially. I found a pic inside of the texture files showing very low res trees around the edges. These trees are named presidium trees.
Now before you guys go on dream mode let me say that those tree could have been shifted there from the presidium just like the antenna.
In either case, looks like Bioware wanted to have the end feel much more trippy than it did.
I knew this. Here:

I gotta say, the idea that the Citadel is shifting enough that its bringing random architecture from completely different areas to the decision area seems to be grasping at straws far harder than anything we've done.

Paxxton's nanite theory is pretty close though

I know what you mean. I am active on this forum for a couple weeks now and often I made a quite good post and nobody even showed any reaction and just continued with something else. I was surprised I got an answer so quickly this time. But it can get a little frustrating.

Hmm. I take it this isn't the texture actually used?
Also, is that a glitch. that the green ending is all pixelated and blurry? Or was it meant to be like that?
Edit - also, I think we can all imagine why they would remove the trees. Who would have played this and taken it seriously if they'd been there

The specific pics I put up are cubemaps so I think they'd used for a reflection at the very best. That said, if they were going to give subtle hints a reflection would be the right place.
I don't know if these are actually used in the game as is however.

Ah right. And yeah, I imagine if they were actually used one of us would have picked up on them.
There's a difference between the area...behind the player? When the platforms are raised and lowered. I wonder what that's about :S

This is still odd. This is apparently on the citedal between the time you get to the control panel until the very end.
The file name is: AncKro_StoneTile_02_Diff
The ancient city on Tuchanka.

Do we know all the textures in the folder are actually used? And I take it you haven't come across this one in your flycam

This random asset stuff is just serving to confuse me at this point.

It's fine if you believe that but I don't see it as being that big of a stretch. Especially if we see it happening as were up there.
The positioning of the antennas also hint at how they were meant to be there but weren't there before.

The forum is FTL and this thread in particular is a bit of a quagmire by virtue of its size and scope. I posted something I called Indoctrination Theory Lite about a week ago and was disappointed that it received almost no attention.
....of course, now I'm glad it got buried. I don't think I want a compromised version of IT.
Meanwhile, this thread needs to be fully distilled and organized somehow. It's just so much text, though... we about need a VI to do it for us.

Well there's also a thessia asset in the same package.
This is a big red flag to me. I don't know if I mentioned this to you before but I think the EC was actually removed from the game and they left very small peices behind.
It's too much of a coincedence that two plantes mentioned in that fake leak have textures from those planets on the last level.
How fast Bioware reacted to dismiss it is also odd, being that they've ben pretty tight lipped about almost every other rumor and theory, including IT.
