Good question. I pretty much doubt that everyone here is "okay" with it. The more important point is, that most people would not dare to protest against ist.
This is simply because Germany still has to fight the prejudice of us all still being ****s, you know? Maybe it doesn't seem like that to others, we have to very careful what we do and show in any way possible that we are different now.
This is also the reason why Germany has to play far more nice, social, helpful and supportive in EU politics than any other country. At least that are my impressions.

Thanks for enlightening this ignorant American. :D

Well, since so many people here are German, I feel like I should ask something I've always wondered.

When I was a kid I lived in Germany for three years because my dad was stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base.

Does it make you guys mad that we have military bases in your country?

I know if Germany randomly decided to set up a military base in like, South Carolina or something, we wouldnt be ok with it. I always wondered if people in other countries felt the same about it.

Duuuude, a fellow army brat.

I'd say the majority here doesn't really care about the bases. Most would never admit it and stick to their usual "Oh these Americans again, so stupid" like the rest of the world, but i think they still like us.

I am pretty sure you are not ignorant. xD   Even though we aren't much better with prejudices: Most people here seem to think that almost any American is nothing else than totally dumb.

Well you americans kinda used us as a boulder state against the Comunists and you rebuild our country with your Money after WW2. And in the 70's the RAF bombed some of your Bases. But in my opinion its ok to have these Bases. Germany is in the NATO for a reason.

That's the problem with this thread, we can never have "testible evidence" in the normal sense :P

I read that as 'testicle evidence' instead of 'testable evidence' at first.

I was so confused.

No doubt because of my mistaken spelling :@

Hey all. Playing through ME2, noticed something odd.

The weird-black-waviness we see in the Citadel when TIM is working his Mojo on Shep?

Same effect is used in ME2 when the colonists are being 'frozen' by the seeker swarms on Horizon.

Don't have any scree shots, but the effect is localized around the colonists the seekers are hitting. Don't recall seeing it mentioned earlier- generally its discussed as being seen around Saren and TIM...

Oh, and it's nice to see this thread still going... I'm still lurking around every few days :) nice work all.

As much as I'd love to remain in this thread (it's a little like a soft warm blanket), it's late here in Germany and I have to work tomorrow so... I SAY FAREWELL FOR NOW :(

After all this time in the thread, we are all indoctrinating each other. Confusing avatars, misreading words. Hell, i don't even sense the trolls anymore when they attack.

Damnit people!

Ah much clearer. It's the same dark blur around the edges as from one, the blur that occurs when a reaper is TAKING DIRECT CONTROL.

EDIT - oops, misunderstood. Em, I'm more seeing it as a sort of black smoke, but I can see the similarity

Time for some speculations, kids:

blog.bioware.com/2012/04/19/n7-operations-update/:

"In the meantime, stay tuned for some cool upcoming features on MassEffect.com, and Blog.BioWare.com. This weekend we bring an update from the war front, the latest from the Alliance News Network."

Also, there won't be a MP event this weekend...whyyy? :bandit:

I hated ME2 on Insanity.

Mostly because I got halfway through my insanity playthrough, and randomly decided to do an N7 mission. The one where you protect that quarian from all the varren.

Its pretty much impossible to do that on insanity, and I stupidly had no saves from before I'd started the mission, so I had to go back and start my insanity playthrough over from the beginning.

Edit: Here is me totally hoping I wasnt going to have to restart my insanity run

Yes, Byne of the past, you were indeed screwed.
