Only romance I really loved was Anders. Which makes no sense because I don't swing that way, but damn, I want to see my Hawke merrily roaming the countryside with him blowing up concentration camps Chantries on our way to Val Royeaux with the plutonium.

I liked the Anders rivalmance more than I liked the romance.

Same with Merrill.

I choice Merrill as there was no good LI in DA 2, and she was half-way decent.

I tried the rivalmance. Couldn't go through with it. I can RP some douchebaggery, but supporting fascists is just too much for me to stomach. As for Merrill, I never romanced her either way. Makes me feel like a pedo when I try. Yeah, she's physically mature, but she's like 8 mentally. :(

Oh, its fun to play a blood mage who supports the Templars, just because such overwhelming hypocrisy is wildly amusing.

Also, supporting fascists is no good, but being in love with a terrorist is all well and good?

He didn't sing for you? I thought he sings in every case.. maybe it depends on your alignment..

no, I went paragon though...

he ended with "genoghage cured, krogan free- an new future- for all of us-"

You need to have heard him sing in ME2 to hear him in ME3. In other words BUY MASS EFFECT 2!

Blood mage Hawke that supports templars... ... Still not the dumbest thing Hawke does. :(

Terrorist is a buzzword with no real meaning. Actually, I suppose it's the opposite problem: there's over 100 documented definitions. But to answer the gist of the question, no, my only problem with what Anders did is that he didn't do it sooner.

Edit: And that he didn't let me help.  Killstealing bastard.

Sadly, no. Remember asari only use their mate's DNA to randomize their own. Shepard or Conrad Verner, it wouldn't really make a difference. :(

I remember Liara's father doesn't believe that, she implies perhaps the father plays a bigger role then they think in ME2 and continuously pesters Liara about If she has ever felt the need to headbutt someone in ME3.
(Plus I always got more of a Krogan vibe off her then Asari) (I wish they would have added a scene of Liara actually head butting someone though that would have been funny)

Also some random dialogue in ME2 between two Asari's mentions about one being more violent or uncaring and the other speculates if it's because she had a Batarian father.

Anders bombed a building. That makes him a terrorist.

Also, Meredith constantly accuses Orsino of sheltering blood mages, and Orsino is all 'You're just trying to persecute us!' which I totally agreed with him on until the end, when Orsino used blood magic himself to try and fight the Templars.

Blood magic he learned from a blood mage he was sheltering, on top of that.

The same blood mage who killed Hawke's mother, I might add.

Kaidan was originally planned to be a romance option for MaleShep in ME1, and IS a romance option for MaleShep in ME3. So he's at least bi.

Well, at the moment we're discussing the merits of the Chantry and Circle towers in the Dragon Age world.

We started talking about romances in ME, and somehow got to that topic.

Other than that, nothing new happening really.

Thanks for the update, Byne!

As for the manshep vs. femshep comment - Femshep is superior. Although, sadly I can tell femshep came second for BioWare at times of the game.

I wish I could play through DA2 but it's just so boring, it's Bioware trying to Mass Effectise Dragon Age and it came out horribly to me, honestly I played it for a couple hours took it out and haven't touched it since but I have gone back and beaten DAO a couple more times. I still want to punch every Templar in the face including Alistair but I'm working on that.

Saw an update on Bioware's blog about Operations, they mentioned this:

"In the meantime, stay tuned for some cool upcoming features on MassEffect.com, and Blog.BioWare.com. This weekend we bring an update from the war front, the latest from the Alliance News Network."

Probably multiplayer announcement but hey, may as well "stay tuned" right.

I pointed out to people last night (my last night) that the star-child at the start of the game is waiting for Shep just before he runs into the building, watching what happens and I don't mean he just standing there he actually has his hands up on the railing glass looking down on everything .... what kid does that in that kind of situation.

But alas this thread moves way to quickly some times even in the quiet times so a lot of people did not get to read it.

By that simplistic definition, also every military in the world. Even demolitions crews. And anybody that accidentally caused an explosion from a gas leak.

Which isn't to say it's the worst definition out there. My favorite is "one who uses fear as a weapon". So, you know, people that take Halloween pranks seriously or any parent that's ever punished their child.

Turns out the world isn't so simple. You have to take a look at everything you can before making a judgment, not just the immediate. The Kirkwall Chantry is comparable to Aratoht because in both cases while many innocent lives were lost (and make no mistake, I don't count Grand Wizard Elthina as one of them) the world, or galaxy in ME's case, is better for it in the long run. A bloody uprising that kills thirty thousand is preferable to another millennium of brutal oppression that will destroy a million lives. I'm just throwing numbers out here of course, but the gist is solid.

Alistair improves a lot. Not that it means much, since he appears for all of 3 minutes in 2. But there's lots of cameos from Harbinger.

Hawke: What's going on here?
Cullen: We're taking your innocent sister to a concentration camp to be guarded by rapists and murderers.
Hawke: I just killed a dragon, do you thinkASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL. Take her. This human will go be rich now.

Harbinger does that a lot. :(

Hmm didn't really like the romance options in DA2 for male Hawk somhow... ^^

And talking about Shep, I allways prefer MaleShep over FemShep. I even can't imagin playing a FemShep somhow.. never found her very fitting.

I totally prefer Femshep, though I find the custom appearance a little creepy. IMO her voice acting is vastly superior. But I almost always play a woman if given the choice.

Well during one of the conversations with eve in ME3 Mordin starts singing and the lyrics are "Asari-Vorcha offspring have an allergy to dairy" so maybe the father does affect in at least some way? But then again it might just be Mordin singing random stuff.

It's Mordin singing we should just be in awe of his amazing vocal prowess.
