Also, about the vent warning sticker. We'll be very hard pressed to find it anywhere else in the game. So far, this is the only vent I've seen throughout my play through. No vents on the citadel, the Normandy, sanctuary and even TIM's base.

There are plenty of other warning signs and stickers pertaining to risk of electric shock or other dangers but they're not around vents.

That might be a fair point if vents were actually electrified. That sticker makes no sense whatsoever where it is. Electricity travels by wire, not by open space. There is nothing about that sticker that makes it only applicable for vents.

I don't understand why people think the actual vents are electrified. The sign is a warning that there are electrified components along the path of the vents. It could be exposed wires, electrical equipment like HVAC's, or can lead to an electrified maintenance area.

When a 100 foot red laser blasting robot is right outside and robot zombies are after you and the door letting you through is jammed, I think a vent with a caution sign might seem like an oasis.

I'll admit that seeeing liara in that romance seen weirded me out a little. The scales are a big turn off. But I got over it eventually.

So how can you argue FOR it if you aren't supposed to understand it yourself?

It's just become his go-to excuse for not having a good answer. "But they don't think like us!" Almost like the anti-IT's "because BW is lazy!" Most of his facts are actually completely wrong to boot. The geth weren't the aggressors, EDI was heavily provoked, non-"chosen" races are made into Reapers (Destroyers)...

Consider that Tali was brought up on lies about the geth and thus even what the character modeled after the Virgin Mary told us about AI's was a big ol' pile of crap, everyone will have to excuse me if I take whatever that lying douchebag Javik says about them with a truckload of salt.

It's not an excuse for an answer; it's an answer. if you can't take yourself out of your own head then fine.

I didn't state the Geth were agrressors, I stated that if in the first war the Quarians hadn't ran then they'd be dead. it doesn't matter WHO the agressor is, the result is war. That also covers my EDI mistake (although, the military disagrees with who provoked that one. Since EDI was being "born" at the time, I'm not sure who has the best view on that :P )

The statement about chosen races still applies. Destroyers seem to be a sub class of Reaper. once again, this is SPECULATION.

By your own statement what we have here is a LACK of knowledge, not knowledge. I can't judge starchilds logic based on incomplete information, and if you think you can, well...

@ss2dante final question.
So starchild figured out that advanced organic races, will eventually create ais which will eventually kill all organic life. he decided that this is pretty much messed up, and created the reapers to prevwnt this (maybe not created..found..or something)

Anyway..in order to come to this conclusion. this must have happened at least once right? He must have deduced his solution based on the fact, that it already happened. you know, the synthetics whiping out ALL organics.

Going with your crossing the roads example..it must have had happened even more times, so starchild could figure out, that there's a big chance it will happen frequently. How come organics are still present?

Your point is logical.. but still.. a sign pertaining to danger of electrical shock inside of a vent is rather insane. I don't know of many vents with an array fo electrical wires exposed... especially since most of them are big enough to crawl through. And since vents are made to move air... and not house electrical wires.. it still makes absolutely no sense for that to be there.

The most compelling evidence in regards to that warning is that it is used NOWHERE else. It completely shreds the "Bioware is lazy" argument most people use to dispel IT. They made it specifically for that scene and that close up. Why?

The result is war whether it's synthetics or organics. It doesn't matter who the Geth were, if they were under attack they have the right to defend themselves same as anyone.

You're letting the reapers make you think that it's a war between synthetics and organics.
It's a war between EVERYONE and the Reapers.

EDI
Legion
The GETH

All synthetics.

Organics kill organics
Organics kill synthetics

Synthetics kill organics
Synthetics kill synthetics

We aren't that much different from them because we are all against the reapers.

To think that synthetics will act a certain way because starbrat says so is racist and prejudiced.

Because it may well be the only time in game the player will look at such a vent. It happens that there are signs of ''danger'' on very safe doors, just to indicate that beyond that point, there are points of danger (fuse boxes, jumper panels, etc).

If not electricution by wires, then by equipment like fans, HVAC's and whatever other space age tech they use in those ducts.

If you only played Mass Effect, I would understand. But I'm sure you're familiar to a whole lot of other games that made great use of these vents other than air ducts with no exits.

Remain polite or I'll quickly report you this time.

The problem I have is that people are saying that Bioware specifically put that sticker there to show that the vent itself was dangerous. Due to housing electrical wires, fans and such. But why even put that there? Why would we care if the vent was dangerous or not? If there goal was to make it realistic.. why would there be a need to a danger sign next to an open vent...a vent that should be closed and prevented from being opened at all (if the technology is so amazing)
