I think the comparison with Schrodinger's cat is invalid because it assumes both interpretations are equally valid, which is only your opinion (you profess to be neutral, do you not?). I agree both can't be proven totally correct or incorrect, but that doesn't imply one is as good an interpretation as the other (like Creation v Evolution).

I think the problem is you think IT and not IT are equally valid and not proven wrong. I think that IT is less likely to be true, although it has not been confirmed or proven untrue. Common ground?

My comparison with the cat is not invalid because objectively both interpretations are equally valid depending on your perception of the events and evidence. Do not equate this to creation or evolution. It is more like Common Quantum physics versus String Theory. There's not enough evidence to prove one right over the other yet.

You can believe that IT is less likely to be true, but you cannot present it as fact because you have no definitive evidence. It is your opinion supported by your perception of events and evidence, most of which has an equally plausible different interpretation. You have a habit of presenting your opinion as fact. That's where we are.

But those perceptions may or may not be supported by evidence, if they are, they go in its favour, if not, they don't

You seem to suggest that if I suggest an alternative explanation, as long as it is my perception of the facts, it is as equally valid as anything else. So say I think that the whole of ME3 happened in a parallel universe, using your logic this is as valid as IT or any other view, right? Does that really make sense to you?

"It is more like Common Quantum physics versus String Theory"- . It is not about proving one over the other in an absolute sense, but showing which is more likely. You are taking the view that IT has good evidence for it, and alternative explanations too, and so knowing the evidence, how can you actually be completely objective and completely neutral about it?

"you cannot present it as fact because you have no definitive evidence"- You've got it!!

Let's just let it go and see what Summer brings. No hard feelings. ;)

Just do what I did with GBGriffin.  Agree that whoever is right will buy the other a virtual drink and rub that fact that he was right in the other's face. :)

Oh, you.

Hai guys.

Woot!  You're back!  Wait, for me to say that he's back, I have to be back!  And for me to be back while still at home... YES!  My internet service is BACK!  Life is good!  So, can you all tell me that IT has been confirmed?  The day has been going so well up to this point that it would be par for the course, TBH.

Edit: OK, I know that IT hasn't been confirmed.  Still, it's a great day, and I'm back, so let's make it a party.  Let's summon THE GREAT TROLL.  GBGriffin, come on down! :)

I miss GBGriffin. Never has there been a more friendly and intelligent opponent to IT. He also has a sense of humor.

Oh I would, but I'm not in the habit of rubbing it someone's face if they're wrong. I don't like when it happens to me unless it's just friendly teasing. I try to be better than that. But I would understand if others do not hold themselves to the same standard.

Fair enough, it is good to hear what the other side (you profess not to be, but you know what I mean) has to say. When in summer is it actually coming out, or likely to come out  anyway if you know?

I think it's only fair since there is also the possiblity that it could be me.  Besides, better to agree to a bit of friendly face-rubbing then than to tear each other apart.  I should point out that whatever happens, I do think that our's is a friendly agreement with no hard feelings on either side.  I should have pointed out that I think that was also a condition of our agreement.

All I know is that whenever I read GBGriffin's posts, I hear them in Din Korlack's voice, wheezes and all. Then I pretend the Elcor Ambassador gives him a chastising remark that he ignores. It helps to take his posts with a sense of humor since I think he means well.

Crazy Batarian Prophet said...

"Let none in my sight continue to live, lest their impurity displease me." The Word is clear on this, friends. Humans are the hands of the Reapers, here to commit the galaxy to ruin!

Yknow, if you take the endings literally, the batarian prophet was right all along.

You don't have to go as far as the ending. TIM and Cerberus were already involved with reapers since ME2. Never paid attention to the prophet. Just thought he was a misguided human hater.
