Yea lets discuss politics and religion in an international forum, this should go well.

You're probably right, so I think I'll stop it, and I would kindly advise other people to do the same :)

I just want to apologize for apparently starting a religious debate when I was just being a smarta** and mocking the South I live in.
Mea culpa!

i originally thought it to be a coincidence, since someone posted those images of ME1 citadel tower with those antenna on them. Then remember one had 1M1 mirrored, which at first made me think Bioware just forgot...Which seems impossible, it's an ending to their baby why would they overlook a mirror'd text. I think it could possibly be a subtle hint to something being wrong or "backwards" with what you're doing on the Citadel.

Nice.

Has the 1m1 been explained yet? As in, what did it mean when it first appeared in ME1 and what does it mean now?

I brought an argument into this thread as it latched onto my ankle and had its way with me, so I know that feel, bro.

I live in the South and its a horrible place for free thinkers.
Its like the religious zealots are purposely trolling anyone not agree with their dim world view

It's kinda more relaxed where I live.

A lot of christians here actually believe in both christianity AND evolution!

I know many believe in both. Its my experience that the poorer the region, the less likely any kind of rational thought is acceptable if there is a chance it contradicts with the widely held belief.

South Carolina.... Racists, bigots, and God fearing Bible thumpers.

Fun fact, only 32 percent of the population in South Carolina believes in evolution. They're also statistically one of the most obese, religious, and are most intellectually incapable to learn modern education programming. A must in the near future to compete in the open market.

If I were you, I would move far from South Carolina. I would suggest urban Virginia. It would be a short hop to that state for you, and the people sound like they would gel with you quite well.

Hope I helped.

<3:lol:

Christianity is a poison slowly fading away:

Checkmate.

While I am an atheist, I disagree with your statement about christianity being a poison and slowly fading away.

If that is true, how come it is the largest religious group in the world, and that it's constantly growing?

Not only that, christianity isn't a poison. It helps a lot of people interpret the world in a way that obviously makes sense to them! Who are you to say that they're all deluded and stupid?

And an other thing going towards christianity: the whole western system of law and morals are based off the new testament!

Get your facts straght before you state complete idiocies!

Oh yeah, and what was that you call it? Oh right, "Checkmate."

How... laughable.

Please, save yourself some embarrassment and actually use factual statistics instead of the prejudices that preside inside your feeble mind.

Every argument I make is coated in fact. Always.

Right now the U.S. which is arguably one of the most religious first world super powered nations today has seen a rapid decline in religion...

One in 5 Americans identify as nonreligious, atheist, or agnostic.

30 percent of the U.S. population now consists of non-believers.

This generation is less God fearing than any other in existence.

I offer more reading materials below on why this is happening:

www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/04/01/andrew-sullivan-christianity-in-crisis.html

people-press.org/files/legacy-pdf/300.pdf

www.alternet.org/belief/151947/goodbye_religion_how_godlessness_is_increasing_with_each_new_generation/

abcnews.go.com/US/story

Learn to read, or better yet... don't. You're better off finding religion i feel, fairy tales seem to suit you....

Checkmate with facts. Always.

Your prejudice and statements that I should believe in fairytales tells everything about what kind of person you are.

I do not believe in religion, however that doesn't mean one should not respect their beliefs and opinions.

However, I can see that arguing with you is pointless, so I will kindly take my leave.

Hard to debate facts? Always. Another win for Mintycool.

Checkmate.

This thread devolved for two reasons: no GBGriffin and a lack of Liara/Jessica Merizan demotivational posters.

I'm still fuzzy about it. One guy was saying it has philosophical implications. Someone said it represented a convergence and that it was also where a laser separates into three distinct colors: Blue Green and Red.

Yeah, Bioware is probably laughing it up right now on how hard they're trolling us.

I thought they screwed up the mirroring of "Normandy" in the conference room when you hold the summit meeting, no?

Minty, I'm as against religion as any atheist you'll ever meet, but I think most people's problem with you is in your presentation of the facts you're presenting. You come off as a bit of a jerk.

The antennas are in ME1 when you go outside onto the citadel's exterior to get to Seren. Then they're part of the Citadel that the Crucible connects to, you know, the part where no organic has ever been before Shepherd (that lying little **** )

Someone figured out a really complicated explanation relating to a math equation I don't have the capacity to remember.  It leaded somewhere along the lines of "RBG" or Red Blue Green but I'm not sure where that leads to aside from the endings we've got.

I saw another thread that had all the points to date organized but didn't think to bookmark it, sorry. That was weeks ago, when this thread was maybe around 300 pages. If I find it I'll PM you. I'm working on gathering the main points in a doc either way, so I can keep track of them.

I do believe that I've seen that post about the old convergence formula. Also it could mean 1 means 1 in reference to the Convo with EDI where she says there is a reality whew 1+1=3....

Yup.

Insulting people and say they should go ahead and believe in farytales usually isn't a good way to present yourself as a sensible person.

They're at the n7: mission base with the big dish antennas too, which is also a multiplayer map.

They could not forget it because creating a mirror texture from a single texture takes more work than just mapping the same texture on a 3D object. It has to do with backface culling. If they wanted it to look like it does without mirroring it programmatically (or changing the BFC algorithm), the texture would end up on the triangles facing away from the camera and it would have been culled out by the pipeline. They had to do it on purpose.

I hope that clarifies the issue!

I was thinking that if they did just mirror it, wouldn't the antenna itself be some kind of backwards? Doesn't make much sense with just the text mirrored. Thanks for the clarification too.

I believe the only time the 1M1 lettering has appear in the game is when a Reaper was damn near right on top of you.
Sovereign in ME 1 and Harbinger in ME3.

If this is true. I think its a clue meant more for the player then for Shepard. Purely speculative of course.
