Yes, I know. Posted Image I've been writing small-time for... sheesh, seven years now. Most have been commentaries or literary dissections; a few analytical and historical articles for the local college and one science-fiction in the works.

so you think that Shepard is the Messiah of humanity even tho noware in the series does the game indicate that he is special

I am not saying he is literally the Messiah as in the jewish or christian faith. I am saying Bioware used the trope. And no, multiple times people have said Shepherd is special. Shepherd is strong willed, brave, intelligent, a born leader, selfless, etc.

Renegade or Paragon, Shepherd is a hero. And Shepherd has already died and come back to life. I just don't understand why you would fight this so hard. This is a common trope.

Shepard isn't special ... he himself says that he is just a soldier even tho people see him as larger than life

Survives Prothean beacon, takes down Seren, then Sovereign. Saves the council, gathers a team, kills the collectors. By being a hero and the main character of the story, Shepherd is already special. Shephed is being modest when he says he is just a soldier, which is typical of a hero.

He never took down Harbinger.  Bioware seems to forget about that little detail.

I typed in the wrong name then edited Sovereign back in. It was a Fruedian slip.

Well good luck! I've got a science fiction rewrite, a fantasy to finish, and two urban fantasies to finish. Part-time job pays the bills. For now anyway.

That's awesome!  Someday, maybe I'll be able to tell my grandchildren that I once particpated in a massive internet message board with the guy who became the next Neil Gaiman!B)

Seriously, though, best of luck!

It doesn't fit man come on

No it fits great. They have matrix 1 ending in their notes. Shepherd is already practically beyond human in everyone's eyes. Even to the Reapers, he/she has become more of a force of nature.

Jesus was also tempted by the devil in the desert. Starchild.

A good writer takes avantage of tropes people are already familiar with, and then tweaks them and makes them their own.

What notes are you referring to?

That last hours app that shows some of their notes.

and we're positive that they are real?

Might be a bit late on this reply, but it's in the 'Final Hours' book app so officiallish

Well, it's appreciated. Most of my work isn't in the same category as Gaiman's- the Sci-Fi started out simply as an attempt to see if I could secure a level of immersion with people not comfortable with such things in a "fantasy" setting. It just continued to adapt from there.

Here lately it's mostly been work on enlightenment philosophy such as that of Edmond Burke and Adam Smith, but I do love a good mystery. I suppose that's why I'm in the "IT" room right now. Dissecting information and analyzing evidence is just plain fun. Posted Image
